Hi

Hi everyone. Welcome Ron and welcome back Aggie. I've got so much going on right now I only have a minute. My husband is from LA and has family in Shreveport which thank God is only getting bad rain and winds. I live in TN and we never really get any bad whether so this hits close to home and alittle too close for comfort this time. He also has a cousin who is in IA. Thurs. she had car trouble, pulled to the shoulder, a man pulled up behind her to help. Her kids, including her new born were in the car with her. When she got out to look into what's going on with the car a van hit her, slammed on their brakes and threw her down the street, with her babies watching. I am so distraut over this so everyone please pray. At this point she is in a coma and in critical but stable condition. As for the smoking I have cut wayyyy back. So, close to quitting, I'm down to about 1-1 1/2 a day. I know I have a ways to go but I feel good about how far I've come. Thanks for being there all of you just to listen. Hugs. Leasa

Perfect Timing

Glad to see 18 new messages when I signed in this morning!  I almost fell off my chair.  I say this is perfect timing that everyone is back and posting as .....

I will quit smoking in 1 weeks, 1 days, 14 hours, 8 minutes and 3 seconds.

Shelly I am so glad you are posting again!

Aggie you too!  All of you!!!  :-)

I have been contemplating a new job.  The pay is great and the hours are daytime.  I would be working for a surgeon.....only thing is it is a mat leave.  She is only taking 6 months off.  IF it is going well she may take longer she doesn't know.  But I think I will have to quit my other job and then after 6 months hope I find something.......the doctor said he would put the word out that I was looking for a job and try to help me find another one.  I am sooooo confused on what to do!!!!

They say sucess takes a big risk....so here it goes!

The kids start school this week, and then next week, I go to the gym and quit smoking.  Someone mentioned something about cofffee and smoking.  It is my favorite thing to do.....yes the first time I quit I cut back on my coffee.

Then my mom is here to visit, so I want to be smoke free when she comes!

We are on holidays this week so I will try to post once in awhile......have a good day and glad to see so many old and new names on the posts!!!!!!!

P.S.

checking in

I must admit I am watching too much tv over this hurricane, but it's just mind boggling to me..I didn't get to watch too much tv last week with Rick being on the grave shift..but I don't remember them warning a week or so ahead of time how strong this would be, maybe I missed something..I just know that this situation requires a lot of prayer, maybe something like this can pull this country together in prayer..I just feel so bad for them.  I've been in two tornadoes, so I understand..but this is like biblical proportion type disaster..my son in law had a premonition about this last week, wish he had been wrong..but anyway..I just needed to reach out...I just pray these cities finally 'get it' and quit building so close to the gulf..of course New Orleans is unique with it being below sea level..but still , they can be more wise this time if greed doesn't get in their way..anyway, enough of my preaching...love to all and I'm thinking of Leasa's family too, praying, praying and more praying.  Ann

My word!!

Hi everyone:   Still having a hard time posting.  Seems that I am not alone in that!  What in pain this new site is turning out to be.  I see that some of us are still having problems posting.   I have had one of those days today, I waited for a full 8 hours on a client at the hospital.  We are still into the heat wave here.  I am so sad about all the weather problems our American friends are having.  You are in our thoughts and prayers!   Wishing everyone on a great day!   Hugs to all from up north and keep on keeping on!   Aggie Six months, one week, 22 hours, 3 minutes and 9 seconds. 4722 cigarettes not smoked, saving $1,888.77. Life saved: 2 weeks, 2 days, 9 hours, 30 minutes.

HI

Hi everyone, especially to Aggie. I'm glad to see you posting, congrats on your non smoking life. I'm sure it's grand. I'm having the same problems with this stinkin site. I can never go back and view previous days, everything's so backwards. Anyways, our cousin is still the same. They won't allow Uncle O or Aunt Bernice to speak to her anymore because supposedly it's making her blood pressure rise. I thought with her being in a coma they would want her parents right in her ear, trying to help bring her out of it. Thanks for all your prayers, please just continue to lift her up. I agree with you Ann, if everyone would turn to God during all the worlds craziness, I believe it would help us go in the right direction. He is the only answer to all this craziness.
