After all their hard work, the latest Dr. Phil Family receives some surprises from Dr. Phil! He informs Melissa that everything she needs to get her life back on track is headed her way: a complete health evaluation, personal trainer, nutritionist, and food service delivered to her door. In addition, she’ll receive help for her depression and be connected with a developmental disabilities specialist for her autistic son. But it all comes with a condition: Melissa and Randy need to heal their toxic relationship. Then, a talk with Myra and Gene leads to a tearful apology. And, will a one-on-one with Dr. Phil’s wife, Robin, help Myra see that she deserves to be treated with dignity and respect? Will Myra set some standards in her broken marriage? Will there even be a marriage to speak of when they get home? Dr. Phil has some strong words for Gene. Next, a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity pits brother against brother as Edwin and Eugene audition for a Hollywood talent agent and a casting director. Don’t miss the surprising twist when they get a call from the judges. Then, it’s time to switch gears – literally! Since Myra and Melissa never learned to drive, Dr. Phil sets them up with a driving lesson so they can become more independent. And you won’t believe the prize in store for the women if they pass their driver’s test! Dr. Phil sits down with the entire family one last time. Will they use the tools he gave them to build healthier relationships? Talk about the show here.

I'M JUST LIKE MELISSA

THANK YOU DR PHIL FOR HAVING MELISSA IN THE HOUSE. I REALLY NEVER REALIZED HOW WE ARE SO MUCH ALIKE. I HAVE 5 CHILDREN 4 ARE ADULTS NOW BUT IN THE LAST 10 YEARS I'VE GAIN ABOUT 150 POUNDS. I'VE WORKED FULL TIME FOR ABOUT 20 YEARS NOW. BUT IN THE LAST YEAR I DON'T HAVE THE URGE TO WORK ANYMORE I JUST WANT TO STAY HOME AND WATCH TV AND EAT ALL THE WRONG FOODS. I DON'T EAT AS MUCH AS HER BUT I DO EAT ALOT OF FAST FOODS. WHEN I WATCHED THE SHOW YESTERDAY IT WAS LIKE A LIGHT BULB WENT OFF. THATS ME OTHER THAN I DON'T HAVE A AUTISTIC CHILD. MY HUSBAND IS THE GREATEST HUSBAND IN THE WORLD THOUGH BUT HE ENABLES ME. HE NEVER SAYS MAYBE YOU SHOULD HELP CLEAN THE HOUSE HE'LL JUST DO IT OR WHEN HE WANTS TO GO SOMEWHERE HE'LL ALWAYS ASK AND I'LL SAY NO I JUST WANT TO STAY HOME( IN FRONT OF THE TV). SO, TODAY I MADE AN APPOINT MENT TO TALK TO A THERAPIST BECAUSE I STRONGLY FEEL I'M DEPRESSED ALSO IT DOESN'T HELP THAT I HAVE A SON IN IRAQ. I THANK YOU AGAIN BECAUSE I FINALLY OPEN MY EYES AND I HOPE TO GET BETTER REAL SOON.  IF ANYONE HAS ANY ADVISE PLEASE RESPOND

Melissa, I totally understand how you feel.  My daughter is 9 and has down syndrome and autism.  She is in school, but our public school sucks.  She was in private school for a year but was kicked out.  Her being in school is only a temporary relief.  After being home from school for an hour, I am mentally drained.  And now she is out for the summer so I feel like I'm going crazy!  Many days are spent crying because I've tried everything to no avail.  Nobody understands unless they are going through it...not even grandparents.  The only people to understand are those who are around an autistic child 24/7.  So lady, just because your granddaughter is doing well and has found a new career, you probably don't know that deep down the only reason she searched for a new career is because she was going crazy and had to get away.  Have you ever thought of that?  Sometimes I feel like my daughter would be better off without me because she acts like she hates me most of the time.  I wish people understood.  And it isn't because I want them to feel sorry for me.  But people just don't understand why I don't want to take my daughter to birthday parties and get-togethers that we get invited to.  It is more trouble than it is worth and is very embarrassing when you can't control your own child.  So we usually just stay home and it is very isolating.  Good luck to you Melissa!!

For one, the father of the bunch couldn't fake a real cry if he tried, and the fact that Dr. Phil fell for the put on emotions of this man was really something. This guy wasn't being real, he was pretending to be emotional to get sympathy. Melissa is a person blaming everyone else for her problems but herself. A disabled child is alot to handle, but to blame all of her life choices on this little boy is rediculous. He seems to be a great scapegoat for her. She needs to start being responsible for her own decisions, and make better decisions for herself and her son. She is pointing fingers at everyone who's not there to help her. Well, she is the only one to fix her life. The only thing she did on the show was eat, eat, and eat some more...where was her son? He wasn't with her causing her to eat. So what was the excuse then?

If the wife can't get over the cheating, then she needs to get out of the marriage instead of sticking around to punish her husband. I wouldn't have been around after the first affair b/c that's a "deal breaker" for me. But, since she chose to stay, she made her choice, then she needs to move on and forgive and forget, or get the hell out. It seems to me this family is a huge orgy of pity. They need to get over themselves and realize there's a world that happens everyday whether their drama is there or not!

I also was surprised that Dr. Phil did not call the father on his fake emotions.  He was rubbing his face and nose to make his face red so it would help his charade of crying.  He was so transparent, it was unbelievable!!   When the three women showed up to talk to him and he was fake crying, he said "I didn't know any better".  Give me a break!!   They saw that he was not actually crying, why didn't Dr. Phil?

..Tuesdays show...PLEASE!!!...I'm expecting Myra  to have notes for her acceptance speach for the 'most wounded' wife category.  Yes, she's been hurt, we know, we know - have heard that 'He Ripped me to my core!" account over and over. ..Don't continue to ask her what would make her happy...she IS happy ...in her misery, she is estatic!!!...  She loves it, tho she professes 'not'.

..The final straw broke as she .....'swept her son into her arms, when he cried (again) about the

contest...  The only thing missing was a 'rose' in her mouth, and spotlight fading'.  That moment was for Myra, not for him.. That family

cannot function unless there is a high level in wich each one can EMOTE - not to be confused with showing Emotion. Myra cannot utter one sentence without a blinking, rolling her eyes..exaggerating each word either in  tone, volulme, or action.  Yes, the hope is to restore this family to a 'normal' lifestyle, but if you take the angst away from Myra, what would she do?

I would just love to tune in one day and see  couples that have been married, 10, 20, and 30+ years. Ask them what their secret is? Have the producers go in their homes and listen to their conversations. How do they communicate? How do they treat each ther? How do they deal with  stress, financial problems, kids, teens, adult children? My parents have been married 50 years and raised 3 childre. It is past time to turn the cameras on people that are doing something right. America is being saturated on all that is wrong, abnormal, and sick, Lets see some 'normal', healthy folks for a change. Please Dr Phil.

I completely agree!  This family is just annoying.  I want to see what works, not what doesn't.

Stop the crying!!!

I've never seen so much crying before...What is this some kind of Daytime Soap? These people need to get over it!!! Everyone has an excuse for everything, how about owning up to their wrongs and trying to make things right. Dr. Phil, move on and find a family that really wants to make a change instead of all of the boo hoo crying...

I agree with the first part of your statement. I believe the husband is being fake with his crying jags.

I also think Melissa needs to take a good look at her husband. My impression is that he is gay. Just my opinion.  Remember when Dr. Phil had the show with the "girly" men ? I Believe those men were gay also. There are plenty of gay people who want a traditional family and then figure out later in their life that they weren't being true to themselves.

Hopefully Melissa and those other wives will figure that out and find themselves some positive, satisfying relationships.

Milissa - Look deeper

Hi Milissa - I think you need to look deeper at your boyfriend.  Were you his first?  Could he be hiding behind you?  Would it be a terrible thing for him if he were to come out?  I think therapy for both of you and for him by himself is very, very necessary.  I am not sure he knows who he is.

I hope that more driving classes are following.  Until Milissa gets control of her erratic emotions, she might make a frightening driver.
