Hi, my name is Karem and I am a Peruvian Inmigrant, my husband is also peruvian, we live here for 5 years. We have a little 9 month old boy. Well I was thinking so much about people that live in this country, the inmigrants, but the ones that live under the shadow of ilegals. They also have kids. The other day on TV there was a show on a spansh channel about the people that are being deported and that have kids born americans. Hoe the kids are going through so much stress thinking that their parents can be deported in any minute. I was terrified thinking all that anger and stress that these kids live daily, how this is afecting them, what can cause this anger in themselves when they grow up... Will they carry so much anger against people that they can harm society????

My father was a doctor, he won many years ago a contest to work and do some research in the University of Denver Colorado, we moved from Peru to Denver when I was 6, my father worked there sor 3 years, then he decided that he did not want to raise us in the United States because in my school I was a victim of racist ataques by a boy from my class room. Still I grew up and decided to come back and live here. But the problem is that I worry that later on all this inmigration problems are afecting the kids that later on will be tha adults in this society.

I just wanted to know what you think about this, how all this issue will afect emotionally and sicologically to this sons and daughters of people that will be deported to their countries.

Karem

Your from Washington that is why you do not have a clue what is going on in the places that have a high consentration of hispanics.

I am not originally from Washington.

Once again maybe you should have a little chat with your local immigration and they will set the facts straight for you.

Sorry my best friend is not a liar. You just do not know what is really going and how these people are being treated.

Honestly no I do not think my friend's husband should have been deported.

1. When you marry a US citizen then that should enable the person top also become a citizen as long as it is not a scam.

2. He went there with a work visa and he did reapply before it expired and he paid for to be renewed the paperwork was tossed aside and they just his visa expire. He was in the process of getting citizenship and his lawer had told them it would be another week or two longer before he got his papers then he gets this bogus DUI and gets deported.

If a person is not legal they can and will deport them period. No matter what. If they are illegal then that is a crime enough to get them deported. You are the one that does not know that facts and what is going on right now.

When I said the people are being treated like animals most of them ar enot allowed to come in contact with anyone they have their children and all of their belongings taken away. How is it right to take away someones child?

Get your facts before calling people liars.

1. When you marry a US citizen then that should enable the person top also become a citizen as long as it is not a scam.

So we should give preference to people that sneak across the border and marry a USC?  While others, that do it legally are waiting patiently for their turn.  Are you aware that about 60-70% of all immigration marriages are fraud?

Once again there is more to the story then this.  Why dont you go on line and look up 8 CFR and you will see that, unless there was something else going on, he would not be deported.  You are aware that there are laws that have to be followed, right?  That they can not and wont just keep sending people back to where ever because it costs the tax payers millions of dollars to do this.

Also, you are changing your story.  You first stated that he was here illegally and now all of a sudden he is applying for citizenship?

Once again go talk to your local immigration office and have a chat with them.  Heck you can ask me because guess what I do?

At the time of his arrest he was there ilegally because his work visa had expired because they refused to put through the paper work. Yes he was onely a week or two away from getting citizenship when he got picked up by the police.

Yes they he did not have anything else on his record. Nothing at all. The Tulsa police are arresting hispanics and getting them deported wether or not they have a record of anything.

You go look this up. I know that this is wha tis going on.

Well first of all if he just had a work visa he was not an LPR.  You have to be an LPR in order to become a citizen.  They do have work visa's that are temporary, that DOES NOT mean you have a green card and here legally.

Second, one does not need a work visa if they have a green card.  That green card states that they are here legally and able to hold employment.

Third, this is my guess what happened.  He is sitting there in his car at night.  The police come knock on his door asking for his drivers licenses, which they are allowed to do.  They go back and notice that he has a warrant for deportation out against him.  They contact ICE and they decided that they want him and low and behold he is deported.

Here is a little immigration information for you.  In order to become an LPR one must apply on an I-130 and I-485, by a spouse, sibling, parent etc.  One can also get LPR status by employment.  That means that a company will do all of the paper work for them even if they do not have family in the States.

One can not jump from illegal status to citizenship without ever becoming an LPR first.  My guess you are getting confused from citizenship and LPR.  Two completely different things.  Also, if you are an LPR and have no prior conviction, such as murder, you will not get deported.

My guess also is that immigration didnt put the paper work through because he has no status in the US, meaning he was an EWI and didnt apply before April 2001.  You can apply for whatever you wish, doesnt mean that you deserve it.  That was the last time they had any kind of procedure for people that are here illegally to become LPRs through family.

Granted people have a tendency to forget how many times they were arrested.  I have had numerous people in my office and I can see that they have been picked up by Border Patrol and they seem to forget that part.

People also have a tendency not to tell the whole story.  Seeing that I know first had what is going on, and yes even in Tulsa, there is always more to the story.

Being in the US is not a right but a privilege.  People that do not follow the law of the land should be deported.  I dont really care who is here.  No states that they can not go to where ever they are getting deported too.

Oh that is why you so wrong about everything you are a cop. That explains it.

You are wrong sorry but you are

Fact is that illegal immiagrans are being deported even though they have no criminal record. Being illegal is enough for them to be deported. It has happend and it is happening. Wether you want to admit or not.

Quit arguing with me watch the news and read the paper.

In Jersey not too long ago the police went to factory adn deported a lot of people that were working there that had no criminal record, most of them had children that are now state property.

Quote From: crazychicsc

I have a very different oppinion than most people on this subject. This subject effects me personally,im happily married to a illegal  immigrant.I believe that this is all racism plain and simple. My Husband has tried time and time again for a visa and been rejected without a reason why. This is not right, he has no criminal record, he OWNS LAND HERE in the USA and in Mexico, has paided and filed taxes since hes been here. So far we have spent over $22,000 trying to get him leagal. That is a crime to take someones money like that and use it on education, roads, and etc.. then tell them you have no right to be here. But when the USA needs help who do we ask first? Who came here to help with the rebuilding of New Orleans? Who came to our side to fight the California wild fires? MEXICANS FROM MEXICO !! I know  a lot of illegal Mexicans here. Some are the best people , some are trouble makers and i have personally seen alot of them be approved?. But those here with wifes and children who are citizens, no criminal record, and paying & filing taxes should have the right to stay over those here with no family ,with DUI , criminal records, not filing taxes, just looking to make a quick buck and go back to Mexico. If we send back all illegals their yearly tax money goes with them. We will have to pay higher taxes to make up for all that extra tax money. Every Illegal i know has taxes took out of each check but most dont file taxes so thats alot of extra money.
I think we should be more concerned about China right now targeting our children with lead! They are going to WIPE US OUT and we are to worried about illegal immigrants to stop them.
We need to stop the racism and hating that we are teaching our young generation or.... Jena 6 and nooses ..... need i say more .     God help us!                 WE ARE ALL GODS CHILDREN  !!!!!!!
That was very well said. I too am married to an illegal immigrant. He is from Mexico, he came here for a better life. He is one of 10 children. His parents work hard and do their best to provide for their family. Conditions in Mexico aren't good, their government is corrupt. My husband came here out of survival. He is a hard worker, has never been in trouble with the law, and an asset to my life. He has taxes taken out of his paycheck, for the past 6 years he has, he does not file taxes, so where has his tax money gone? the same place every other illegal immigrants has, to Americans. America is a land of immigrants whether they came her legally or illegally. My husband and I have filed for a visa, it is a long expensive process. many people do not understand that. If he could be legal he would be. I wish people would be more open minded and realize that we are all God's children and we all deserve the same opportunities in life.

Ignorant

Quote From: marshunk

The real problems of these so-called immigrants is described in detail by James Gilchrist in a book titled MInutemen. He calls them what they are: Invaders. They are here to take over America. I have heard thse aliens say so myself.

We now have approximately 30 million here instead of the quoted 12 million and they are bankrupting every state of the union in criminal costs, welfare and health care benefits.

Teachers at the schools and universities in the SW are teaching them that we took Mexico from the natives. They forget the Louisianna Purchase and other items.

Their gangs kill babies as well as adults. Too bad that babies born here must go back to the parent's native country, but their suffering, if they do indeed suffer, is due to their parents, not the USA.

We must think of America first. Read Minutemen and shake in your shoes.
You are ignorant plain and simple. Ignorant. I pray you are not judged as harshly as you judge people. That is all I have to say.

Umm this is where you are wrong.  Yes people in Jersey, Colorado and other states are doing raids on companies but the only people that are actually being deported are the ones that have criminal records.   Actually look this up.  Granted if you only get your knowledge from the newspaper then the US is sending everyone away, which once again is not the case.

Also, you are incorrect about the children.  If there is only one parent in the child's life they will not deport them, but it also means that most likely they will never get LPR status.  There has never been a case where a person was deported and the children became property of the state.  If that is true, give me some form of proof, newspaper article, case law etc.

Also show me evidence that they are deporting people that have no record.  All of your knowledge is coming second hand from someone else.  Most people that I have seen say they have no record, but they actually do because they didnt count the first time.

You are way to involved because you are believing stories that you are hearing, when that is all they are stories.  Not even close to the truth.

Please go to the local immigration office and ask them if they deport people with no criminal record.  If you dont believe me, go ask them.  They can not even take someone in that is illegal that goes into the office to ask questions.

Also, no I am not a cop.

apparently you have not done your own research.

Read the fine print if a person is here ilegally then they are braking the law.

You want proof then Iwill show you proof in my next message.
