What do you do when your ex is still in the picture and wreaking havoc? Louise says she broke up with Mike two months ago because he choked her, threw chairs at her, and even threatened to throw their infant son over a fence. Mike says anger just runs in the family, and he wants Louise to take him back but another ex of Mike’s has a warning for Louise. Shannon says she wants to expose Mike for the cruel man he really is. Mike says Shannon is a liar and an unfit mother. When Dr. Phil digs deeper into the story, you won’t believe the claims Shannon makes. Plus, what did Mike confess to Louise that has Dr. Phil concerned for the children? As allegations of abuse, threats and theft fly, Dr. Phil tries to make sense of these strained relationships. only time will tell!!!

i hope that the father took what dr. phil had to say into consideration. there is alot that was laid out on the table. i think everyone is to blame to a certain extent. i think there is more than we really know. that's why i say only time will tell. i want to know the outcome in court. i think that the father needs phychological help very badly. and the others need a type of counseling.

More important than home study....

Normally I don't question Dr Phil's judgement........but I have to say that I think the home study of all three "childish adults" is second on the priority list.  #1 should be sterilization or at least mandatory birth control, as there are already way too many innocent children involved in this mess!  Louise & Mike have Jesse, Shannon & Mike have Ashley, and it was stated that Shannon also has two other children.  Sad.......four precious children, and not one responsible adult in the bunch!!

The CRAP Factor

These people hate one another when they are on the show but went out together the night before the show?  I hate to say this but I think Dr. Phil had three people on his show that wanted 15 minutes of fame.  They couldn't keep their own stories staight.  I think all they wanted was a free plane ride and a chance to be on T.V.

I know that show made him look really really bad, but he's really not as bad as all of you people think.  Yes, he has anger problems, most definitely.   Yes, he can make brash and dumb decisions.......but he would NEVER hit that child.  Ashley (his little girl) doesn't live the terrible life that you people are picturing, and she definitely doesn't live in fear, she is a happy kid!  It's pretty sad when all you people jump on someone that you think you know.......just because you watched a single 1 hour TV show.  Ridiculous.

Dr. Phil-

Why didn't you interrogate Mike on todays show regarding his daughter getting 2 black eyes and a broken nose? It is obvious to me that he was lying and trying to weasle his way out of the explanation. That poor little thing is probably bullied and pushed around all the time by that proven abuser. How did hen get custody? He must have weasled his way through the court system too! Those women are his victims and so is that poor defensless child. I am very upset about this! Who else is incensed about this man (beast)?!

Signed,

Lucky Mom of Three

Dr. Phil,

You have the patience of Job.  Mike is a liar and both of those women are victims.  They really really need your help.  They need to get  completely away from him before someone gets seriously hurt including the children.  Those kids are innocent and shouldn't be exposed to that kind of treatment.  Mike need to see a counselor or a jailor.

Signed,

Able to get away alive

She needs to take her son and get a no contact order put up against her ex. She should not let any guy treat her and her son this way. Why didn't she call the police when he chocked her and threaten to throw the child over the fence. That's assault and child abuse. Where is her family in all of this. Why arnt they helping her.

I'm pretty sure she said that all of the people around her, including family, were telling her that she had to stay with him and work things out because they had a child together.

That is why she is so confused and doesn't know how to do the right thing.  Her background has guided her right into being an abused woman and accepting that she is somehow at fault, as well as being responsible for making it right.  Works right into the abuser's plan.

I think a situation like this is all too common.

Through the years, I have come across and heard of, situations like this. The only difference being that in this case the mother seemingly was afraid or disinterested in fighting to get her child back in her care. That's a new one for me.(I say "a new one" because in the situations I've been aware of, short of a court order saying otherwise, the mom's have had the children.) It's just shocking to have a face put on this by having the people on a stage, openly discussing the situation in front of cameras and millions of viewers. In everyday life, most people are not able to sit down and discuss the situation. There's usually a lot of fighting, breaking up and going back together, physical and emotional abuse, police involved, etc...etc... The thing is, it's harder on the kids than the adults. Maybe, just maybe, someone out there watching the show will have a "lightbulb moment" and say to themselves, "I've got to stop doing this to my kids."

Maybe there's more to this than YOU know. Funny how abuse happens behind closed doors, isn't it? His actions are way past "brash and dumb"...they're abusive. You can glean a lot about people from a ONE HOUR show...just as you can about ONE post. What's ridiculous is minimizing abuse...there's never an excuse for it.

I'd question just how happy Ashley is. I'm sure she wasn't happy that night that she was pushed into that coffee table. You think she's happy with her father's "anger problems?" I doubt it....

Influence On Children

To both of these women, especially Louise, who thinks her son will be damaged without contact with his father- You think this guy's influence in your child's life is good why??  A sperm doaner and a father are two diffenent matters. I'd get my children so far away from this guy and so fast it would make you head spin. The children will grow up (if they grow up- he might kill one) thinking this vioulent abusive behavior is OK. I'd get my son in the Big Brother program before I'd let this jerk exert his ugly influence!

He'd never hit the child, but he'd abuse her mother right in front of her. In my book, that's bad enough.  Even if all the incidents he's admited to took place over 20 years, and there were just occasional lapses,he still wouldn't be a fit parent.
