(Original Air Date: 09/12/07) Affairs, fights, lies and dark secrets are tearing a family apart. Brandon and Amy have been married for 2 1/2 years and have three children. One year into their marriage, Brandon was caught having an affair with their teenage nanny. Was she the only one, or did he cheat with others? The couple's tumultuous relationship reached a breaking point when Amy, who said she feared for her life, obtained a restraining order against Brandon. What led him to file divorce papers? Then, five months into the proceedings, their relationship reignited. Why did Amy let Brandon back into her life? Amy's parents and her ex-best friend, Heidi, say Amy's heading down the road to disaster. So why do they doubt Brandon's recent revelations? And, why does Brandon say Amy's ruining his reputation? The friend needs to butt out!

I know she cares and I wouldn't be surprised if she gets to hear nothing but the bad but seriously she needs to get out of the situation and let them deal with their issues. She's not helping at all and she's just adding fuel to the fire.

I don't know if he's trying, but he goes on the defensive obviously with that woman around so she needs to step back and let them figure it out without her spouting her mouth. She should focus on herself and her family.

Heidi

Heidi is really not a positive element in this segment- she's prompting Amy and sticking her two cents in where they honestly don't belong. How about letting the two people in this marriage work through it? It would be helpful to add things when prompted by Dr. Phil but she's not a member of the family so why is she up there?

They deserve each other!

If Amy watched him put a pill in the nanny's mouth and did NOT call the police she is just as screwy as he is!! He cheated one or many times and she sticks with him they deserve each other!! One more question WHAT ABOUT THE KIDS???

There is no marriage. Heidi is not a problem starter, she is trying to help her friend and open her eyes to what is right in front of her. Amy needs to listen to Heidi and her mother and not her husband. Her husband is a liar and trying to make a fool of everyone. This is a safety issue for Amy and her children. There should be hostility between Heidi and the husband, would you want your daughter, your sister, or your best friend abused? I assure you as the sky is blue Brandon is an abuser, emotionally and physically. He needs to be in control and one of his weapons he believes to be is his charm. You believe Heidi is a problem starter, congratulations you just gave one point to Brandon. Open your eyes, this why Brandon has a smile on his face tonight, because you are focusing your attention on the wrong person.

One of the seven signs of lying is, "defense" ... every time Brandon was accused of something, he shifted attention to something else with a, "yeah, but ...". How can you tell when he's lying? His lips are moving!

First of all, I think he is definately a liar when it comes to past affairs. He MAY have changed but he wont completely change until he can admit EVERYTHING! AND he will continue to step on his wife unless she decides its time to stop TAKING it. And as for the friend...good friend for wanting the best for her friend...BUT ...STAY OUT OF IT! its not your business to play MOMMY to a grown woman! i think that a person's life is private and should be dealt with on their own terms. Not on someone else's.

Best friend Heidi

Heidi(sp) reminds me of an exfriend. My guess is that she is jealous and a liar. Probably even believing her own lies. She should stay out of others lives.
