(Original Air Date: 09/12/07) Affairs, fights, lies and dark secrets are tearing a family apart. Brandon and Amy have been married for 2 1/2 years and have three children. One year into their marriage, Brandon was caught having an affair with their teenage nanny. Was she the only one, or did he cheat with others? The couple's tumultuous relationship reached a breaking point when Amy, who said she feared for her life, obtained a restraining order against Brandon. What led him to file divorce papers? Then, five months into the proceedings, their relationship reignited. Why did Amy let Brandon back into her life? Amy's parents and her ex-best friend, Heidi, say Amy's heading down the road to disaster. So why do they doubt Brandon's recent revelations? And, why does Brandon say Amy's ruining his reputation? I have absolutely no idea what you are saying in the first sentence.

Anyway, I can tell you what will happen. Heidi will make sure she get's rid of the husband and not long after she'll find the 'love of her life' and then dump her 'friend' she cares so much about now the minute her guy doesn't like the situation. It would be funny if it weren't so sad.

PS came in late and thought it was a love triangle between Heidi and Amy and Amy and Brendon...what do ya know.........

Amy is not living up to what Brandon is doing, she sweeps it all under the carpet and tries to make out that this time things are going to be different. It wasnt just her best friend that is against this ruinion, its her parents as well.

Her best friend is the one who has to listen to Amy, listen to what Amy has gone through. Brandon admitted to saying things to her that nobody wanted to repeate on TV. He couldnt even say that he did it straight up frount. He has to make sure that every one knows that it was his friends that put him up to it, then he has to establish that she is a whore and he doesnt find her attractive. I am sorry but how long have you been out of high school? Dont you remember the guys making out that when the chick knocked them back it was because she was a slut and disgusting. Its how most arrogant 17 year old boys react to rejection.

Amy does have some tough decisions to make regarding her marriage with Brandon. But its not just effecting her, her children and her parents are suffering gratley. His actions are more than questionable, there are red flags going up every where. He told her that if he killed her he would get away with it. He has it all planned out in his head. Is that some one who deserves Good Luck?

Did you even watch the show? Cause it seems to me you just saw what you wanted to see. Dr. Phil would of told the best friend to but out if he thought that she was being a nosey cow. But what she had to say to confront Amy with her decision brought out what Amy called the 'old Brandon'

Just proves he hasnt changed and is just working on getting back into the good books. Willing to be that 17 year old boy and say every thing that he thinks Amy wants to hear. He has to prove he has changed not just say it.

BINGO !!

Actions speak louder than words. I think Brandon has more skeletons in his closet and this affair is just the tip of the iceberg.

Amy should not take him back because he hasn't respected her in the past. I think he is a smooth talker and knows exactly what to say to her to change her mind.

...that's exactly my point: If the tables were turned you'd still find a way to make Brandon wrong and Amy right no matter what he says when being ganged up on. Of course he deserves sympathy! It takes a lot of courage to come clean in the face of a self-righteous know-it-all like Heidi and still be willing to show up for his cold-fish wife, who I'm sure we'll find out tomorrow is no angel.

Get Rid of Red

This couple might have a chance if Amy gets rid of her 'best friend' Heidi. With a friend like this, she certainly doesn't need enemies. Heidi is meddling and is clearly a busybody. Most of this is simply none of her business. Dump her, Amy, and then you and Brandon can begin to heal without the nasty comments of a so-called 'friend' who's conveniently not even speaking to you!

THE WIFE INVITED HER IN. the wife went crying to her. plus, she is/was her best friend. we all need someone to talk to. Dr Phil may not agree with me, oh well. i went through the same thing, but is wasn't a nanny. you hurt so bad, you need your friend. and sometimes you need someone outside to see what's going on. being distraut, angry, feeling like a failure, scared to be alone, that is all scary. That is so funny, your blaming the friend. Probably the person that the wife called everytime he cheated, the person the wife cried to everytime he drugged someone so he could sexually abuse them, the person she told everything to. The friend came off as sick and tired of the bullshit and that's why she hasn't spoken to the woman for however long. The friend's depth into their relationship was and is determined by the wife. She is the one who decides what to tell her friend and what not to tell her and I bet she told her every little detail. The wife is obviousy a weak woman with low self-esteem who believes everything that is told to her and doesn't really think for herself. So she asks the friend for advice and now she is totally invovlved in the whole situation. She had to testify in court for petes sake because the wife asked her to. COme on. It's the the husband and wife who are at fault here. More so the husband because he's a pig. Those poor kids!!! The friend should walk away for now only because she's going to get thrown under the bus because she wants to help the friend but unfortunatly the friend does not want to help heself.

This is what i think, and saw of the couple, they love each other dearly, but along the way the fire in them is blowing out, and he probably tried to talk to her about it but ignored it, who knows what happened in that marrage, thier still both new to it all. They both need a marage councillor, and get ride of the friend, she is a trouble maker. She is throwing gasoline to the fire and making things worse. The ex-friend should get a life of her own. They both want the help, and are seeking it, Dr. Phil should have an open mind to this all, there are two stories to it not just one. Yes he admits to having an affair, and now they need counciling. Cause they do want to save their marrage, because we all make mistakes no one is perfect, we are only human.

Yes, Brandon is a very immature man. Yes, it is very wrong to cheat. But did anyone wonder why Amy barely spoke? She has a lot to hide...many skeletons in her closet. The show is making her out to be the victim. She is loving the attention that this is giving her. Heidi is just another pawn for her to manipulate. Dr Phil audience, do not be fooled. Those kids would have had a nanny even if there were no "injuries". Lets face it, some people need drama in there lives....Dr. Phil, make sure those children are in safe environment.

please dr. phil, state the truth!

I continue to watch you about three times a week for the past year and i am still waiting for you to tell someone on your show the truth. you me and my dog named blu know this poor man has had many, many more affairs that he has admitted and has continued to abuse his wife that just sits there. here is the advice you should say and move on to the next show. GET OUT NOW AND DIVORCE THIS LOSER!. He will not change and we all know it. If you were a man of your word and as you always say, lets be real, well get real and tell what all of american is thinking and stop wasting everyone time. Think of the poor children before wasting any more time and tell her to run and run fast to the courthouse to get the order and divorce. I'll watch tomm. to see if you will tell her the truth or you'll go back to your standard answer and say "i'll provide the help your'll need and then we see if this marriage can work" and you know that it will not. Spare the expense and send him back living in his fathers barn away from anyone. That's the best advice you can give. Tell him to stayaway fromeverybody!
