(Original Air Date: 09/12/07) Affairs, fights, lies and dark secrets are tearing a family apart. Brandon and Amy have been married for 2 1/2 years and have three children. One year into their marriage, Brandon was caught having an affair with their teenage nanny. Was she the only one, or did he cheat with others? The couple's tumultuous relationship reached a breaking point when Amy, who said she feared for her life, obtained a restraining order against Brandon. What led him to file divorce papers?  Then, five months into the proceedings, their relationship reignited. Why did Amy let Brandon back into her life? Amy's parents and her ex-best friend, Heidi, say Amy's heading down the road to disaster. So why do they doubt Brandon's recent revelations? And, why does Brandon say Amy's ruining his reputation? Talk about the show here.

Find out what happened on the show.

situation of same

this could have easily been my sister and her husband.  she has been going through this for 18+ years - always buying into his lies.  These types of men are sociopaths.  They take no responsibility for what they did and always try to blame someone or something else for their indiscretions.  These type of men lie about everything - not just infidelity.  My brother-in-law lies about things that he does not even need to lie about.  He is very charismatic -- everyone likes him and you could very easily think he is wonderful.  Only later does the real person come out.  Only when they are confronted with possibly losing their family or a change in their standard of living or their reputation and what people might think, then they "shape up" for a short period of time and are back at it.  I do not understand why the women who are married to this type of man stay.  I cannot for the life of me understand it.  It is so obvious to those of us on the outside.  It is very hard to deal with and watching the person you care about go through this and get sucked back in.  It makes you angry and want to shake the woman - it is so hard to conceive.  I believe these women have battered wife syndrome - even if it is not physical.  They are as sick as he is in their own way otherwise they would not stay.

Heidi.

Heidi why dont you just get a JOB!

As it was said on National TV you have not had a job is HOW MANY YEARS? Maybe if you had a JOB and had some responsibilities in your life, you wouldn't consume yourself with this immature 3 yr old games because you simply have nothing better to do with your time.

See the ONLY MAN works FOR A LIVING! Take a hint! Get a job, get some responsibility and get somethign to do, so your not so damn bored 24/7 and then you can stop acting like a baby and let these people live their own life. See Heidi what do you do all day? NO JOB? What the hell is that??? Why not??

Get a job, get some real structure in your life... How can you not be working like the rest of society??? What do you do all day??

Find things to make up or make your ex-best friend fight with her husband. Heidi accept it. Shes moved on, she has gotten married, she wants to STILL be married, even with what has happened.....

Heidi, get a life, get a JOB, get some daily structure in your life, and then maybe just maybe you might find a guy for yourself someday......Let this couple be... Get a JOB!!!!!!!!!!!!!

How do you pay your bills Heidi?? Money don't grow on trees???????????

Wake Up Amy!

Surely other viewers noticed how he skirted around with his answers...he hestitated and stammered, and then started pointing the finger at his wife and Heidi when things got too hot for him. I believe that Heidi is dead on with her concerns. Amy needs to wake up..this man has just learned to play the game better. That's what he has gotten from his"therapy".....he has simply learned to tweak it to his advantage!!!

Concrete

Yes, it is hard taking care of three kids without a husband but, after his concrete comment, I would run and run far.

Could he be a sociopath?

I'm not sure what constitutes a sociopath exactly, but my understanding is that a sociopath feels no guilt. Could he be one?

He says he has changed but doesn't seem to fully acknowledge his past indiscretions. He needs to accept the consequences of his actions, even if it means a life-long sentence of proving himself. As Dr. Phil always says, he can't change what he doesn't acknowledge.

I also think it's scary that many nannies have come forward and that one actually accused him of rape. If my partner was even accused of rape, it would make me think. It would make me very alert and sensitive to his actions. If there is any way that it is true, I would not want him near my children.

Red head

I want to quote the red head "we need help"Where did she learn French (we)? Did she say I do when they took their vows? What happened to "through better  worse". After watching this, she can be a big cause of the problem. Maybe she should get a life. He is wrong in his ways, but that should be for the family to resolve not a roomate.

Heidi

Heidi acts and talks like a jealous lover.  She needs to leave Amy and Brandon alone.
