(Original Air Date: 09/12/07) Affairs, fights, lies and dark secrets are tearing a family apart. Brandon and Amy have been married for 2 1/2 years and have three children. One year into their marriage, Brandon was caught having an affair with their teenage nanny. Was she the only one, or did he cheat with others? The couple's tumultuous relationship reached a breaking point when Amy, who said she feared for her life, obtained a restraining order against Brandon. What led him to file divorce papers?  Then, five months into the proceedings, their relationship reignited. Why did Amy let Brandon back into her life? Amy's parents and her ex-best friend, Heidi, say Amy's heading down the road to disaster. So why do they doubt Brandon's recent revelations? And, why does Brandon say Amy's ruining his reputation? Talk about the show here.

Find out what happened on the show.

Can't keep his story straight

What is wrong with this couple.  They can't keep their stories straight.  They both need to grow up and take care of their children and get some major conseling for their marriage.

He has an affair with their teenage nanny, and she keeps him around????  "Well, the nanny propositioned me."  Grow up--she was a teenager and you are an adult, say NO!  Review your marriage vows.

Trust

The reason why is thay are going through all this drama is because they were having trust issues. Blondie cheated on him, which  she didn't deny it and red head just wants blondie for herself. Both ladies have skeletons in their closet but want to focus on Brandon. Red needs to mind her business and the couple need to move on.  Once the trust is gone there's 98 % chance that there's not going to be any.

I understand all the things he did wrong.  I don't excuse his actions or his continued lies.

But, that red-head friend has to go.  That wife needs to realize that she is not really her friend.  She is half the problem in their relationship.

I know there is part 2 tomorrow, but I think Dr Phil should have put her in her place on the first day.

She is mean-spirited, manipulative and controlling.  She needs to get a life and mind her own business.  I wish I could use expletives to describe her, but I won't.

I can't tell you how angry she made me watching her today.
iagree, I agree, I agree!!!

12/26 The Nanny Affair, Part 1

do you know what statutory rape is?? The girl was 18, in many states it's not even rape if she's 16, including my home state, Connecticut.

Apparently him and an 18 yr old is criminal, but the girlfriend's best friend with a 50 year old for his money is perfectly kosher... atleast the nanny HAS a job...

Reclaim yourself

She has lost herself in him and he drains her of her energy with his lies and deceit. He's lieing to her now and she's kidding herself if she thinks he'll change. It's the honeymoon phase honey, a leopard doesn't change his spots.

GET OUT, AMY!!!

Do you happen to remember Lacey Peterson?  This man is scary.....it seems that you have a super support system:  he is going to run you into the ground, Amy.  Get out now while you can!  No one jokes about how they would get rid of your body - that's ridiculous.

Obviously you had some fear about your safety because of the restraining order - listen to your gut, girl, and get out.  You have babies to think about - GET OUT AND AWAY FROM THIS GUY

A small notation

Quote From: noonz_1987

Hi dr phil.

regarding this issue,i think the  first thing she should have done was to go somewhere far from her husband ,just for afew weeks , so as to forget this matter. and if she didn/t manage forgetting it she should have ordered divorce, because impossoble to live with  ahusband who cheated her with a  nany, not only a nany but the idea  of cheating in general...

The one person who said he had come on to her may have mistaken his comment.
She mentioned he offered her painkillers.
In that light, his quote "I can make you feel real good" may have been a brag about the painkiller rather than a come-on. Just a thought.

Amy should begin a new life

I have not seen part 2 yet but I predict that Dr. Phil will recommend that the couple have at least a year of couples counseling before they live together again. If Amy wants to reestablish a relationship with her husband, why not set the terms of the relationship to her benefit. For example after she divorces him, require that he date  her for an extended period of time, maybe years, before letting him back into the house. I doubt the husband will make substantial changes in his behavior in the short term.

The friend should definitely drop out of the picture.

What find of father is he with his three children? Nurturing or neglectful?

best friend Hidi

If she was such a good friend then why doesn't she support her friend whether it is good or bad, if she was a friend then she would be there for her and she is not. She is not the friend that amy thinks she is and it seems that she just wants to interfere with their relationship and make it look as bad as it is or not. Whom do you believe? Will be interesting to find out who is really telling the truth or not. I say hidi mind your own bussiness and get your own life. squeaky
