(Original Air Date: 09/13/07) The saga continues, as Dr. Phil brings you more of the affair that shattered the lives of a husband and wife and her best friend and parents. One year into his marriage, Brandon was caught cheating on his wife, Amy, with their teenage nanny. After fearing for her life, Amy filed a restraining order against Brandon, and he filed for divorce. But, their separation didn't last long. Amy decided to let Brandon back into her life, much to the dismay of her best friend, Heidi, and her parents, Cyndie and Mont. Why does Cyndie say she's scared of Brandon, and why does Mont say he doesn't believe a word Brandon says? Then, how are the kids faring during all of this chaos in the home? Heidi and Cyndie say they worry Brandon's discipline is over the top, but he says he's a loving father. What does Amy have to say? And, why does Dr. Phil question Brandon's sincerity to change? Is there hope this couple can save their marriage or should they call it quits once and for all? Tell us what you think!

The only thing I could think of watching Brandon was Ted Bundy.  Same charisma, same liar!

What does this guys personal life have to do with his profession? I think the guy is a jerk in a supreme way, but  "cheap imitation"?  One has nothing to do with the other.

I will never forget the day he came home from shadowing life flight and how upset and hurt he felt for the family of a boy he had just flighted to the hospital who wasn't goign to make it. It ruined his weekend because all he could think abotu was how such a young boy didn't deserve to be going through what he was.

so you have no right to say he is a "cheap imitation" 

Amy, many people here are wondering, are you and Heidi in love? Or is she in love with you? Did the two of you have an affair?

She's Crazy

I don't understand why she would even consider taking this jerk back.  Amy readily admits that he has lied on the stage in front of everyone.  Amy, you need to stand up to this jerk and get away from him!!! You are a beautiful girl and deserve better.  Get rid of him.  Please.  Before he hurts you or the kids.  He has had more affairs than anyone should have had.  Once a mistake, twice a habit!!!! Smarten up before something happens.

Just an excuse!

I didn't agree with Dr. Phil when he said Brandon pretty much did all this stuff because he had a rough child hood!! That's crap!! That's just an excuse! I know plenty of people the come from a rough child hood and don't act that way! It's giving him something to use next time!! You know there will be a next time!! Although I do feel Brandon has a right to some extreme counseling and then maybe after a couple of years after that they can consider getting back together! Brandon has some serious work to do! And so does Amy for that matter! As far as Amy keeping her friend, I think it's a good idea! Everybody needs friends! Just sset boundries!!!!!

As Dr. Phil said he has a long way to go, and that he is not a bad person but, I have always believed that with the right help someone can change. This does not excuse his behavior or actions so as soon as he honestly takes hold of what he had done and TRULY wants to change then that is the only way his will be better.

Does anyone else wonder why Amy and Brandon have a nanny for their children??  We hear that Brandon is a fireman, but what about Amy; does she have a job?  It seems to me that Amy has excuses for everything, and is totally dependent on Brandon for money, and when they are not together, her parents pay her way through life?  It seems from the out takes in their home that just maybe they (Amy) leave way above her means! Sell the house and move into one that is more affordable and let Mom and Dad be grandparents to her children instead of a source of income for them. Maybe her parents need to take a stand- not just where it comes to her leaving Brandon, but cut off the financial support and let Amy pay her way as any parent should.  And Heidi needs to get a life of her own!

 

 

     The whole time i was watching this thats what I was thinking. Give me  a break pay your own way in life.!

The two absolutely have everything to do with eachother.  The man is a firefighter.  He is entursted in people's homes with peoples loved ones and most prized posessions.  He is clearly displaying bad judgement in his personal life, and I, as a firefighter, have to wonder if he has the same type of bad judgement in his job.  In the fire service we are representitives of our jurisdiction ALL of the time, not just when we are in uniform.  Above that, the fire service is a family.  Our families are family.  Maybe in other lines of work this is not the case, but in the fire service, police, etc...our private lives reflect our professional ones and the other way as well.  They are absolutely linked.

There affairs are none of her business. She needs to get a life of her own. What was she doing living with them? I can't  believe Dr.Phil didn't tell her to mind her own business, just like he does to step parents that should not be doing the discipline for the children.  ?????????
