Dr. Phil and Staff, How in the world did you find this caveman? His ideas/beliefs are not only from another century but he actually defends his pathetic treatment of his wife and his views.
It is very sad really; he is living a life based in fear and self-loathing.
A person is intelligent whether they have had a formal education or not. I know many "educated " people that have no common sense or street smarts and many brilliant people, street smart, great common sense, compassion, original and dynamic.
These so called educated people can be so closed minded, get their opinions from the top ten list, follow every trend, quote people almost as if they came up with it and are just boring...
I saw the "who is prettier" test and am shocked, the Asian woman is beautiful, the black woman is also very beautiful and the blond is boring, but pretty. I heard someone say the definition of beauty is the blond "Hollywood' look. YUK!!! My personal opinion is most of the "starlets" in holly wood look like prostitutes with fake everything... fake breasts, bleached hair, capped teeth, fake eyelashes, fake tan, fake butt, fake lips (injected with God only knows) and look horrible but all look alike!!! Why people are insecure is beyond me, why they buy into the "one definition" of beauty is just stupid. So much evidence of the opposite is true, so much has been said over and over that it matters more who you are, and what you look like puts you on a prostitute level... People obsessed with looks only are a pain in the butt. Either they are setting up, going to or coming from an appointment to get something done. They are so absorbed by their "look" that they never had time to develop any other quality, they have never dedicated any thought or time to helping or be concerned about others or anything else but themselves so that is just boring and so one dimensional.
The husband that thinks he is superior to his wife, that he is or should be the leader, she must do what he wants or she can leave, is just a scared little boy. The fact that he pouted when she didn’t want to have sex with the person that just insulted her shows what an immature, small minded (and probably small everywhere and totally insecure about not being much of a man) self sabotaging, destructive person. The more he insists that he is superior, or smarter it reveals that he doesn’t have the confidence and is trying to pull it out of others. It is really sad, I am certain the wife is tired of having to poof his ego, listen to his insults and put up with his demeaning ways and can leave but hasn’t because of the child. Dr. Phil will help this guy, I hope that he will watch the show when he gets home, reads all of Dr. Phil’s books and really "gets" it, change his life and attitude so that he life a more enjoyable life, and make the life of his family more valuable and enjoyable.
The media and corporations spend billions of dollars to manipulate the people of the world with repetitive messages bombarding the TV, radio, newspaper, billboards and internet with these messages for financial gain by "selling" their idea of the ever changing look of beauty, (as long as it is unattainable to most) the description of success and dependence on products or material goods to support the quest for happiness is criminal. The airbrushed glossed over images of Hollywood is so misleading and steers the public in the wrong direction... like.
Let all the blondes hair grow out the natural color, remove all the fake boobs, teeth, tan, and such, and put up for discussion the value of these so called stars... all they really did was memorize some lines, sing a song or pretend that they are somebody or something. The athlete that makes millions of dollars to run, catch or throw... is put up on a similar pedestal but not because anyone thinks they are really great or deserve the attention. It is that the agents, arena owners, television shows, product endorsements and commercials pay so much money, that this group of so called businessmen hype up these players to the public so they can make more money off of the public.
The reason we are so drawn to this is because we are all fed messages over and over again until it becomes a topic for discussion, but really we are forced into being interested and some are more easily impressed, led, swayed or brainwashed than others, especially the young.
With that in mind, thousands of brilliant scientists, teachers, volunteers, inventors, writers and artists are being ignored, passed over and given none of the well deserved credit and respect because they don’t have a money hungry agent selling and smoozing them into fame and fortune.
Why Brittany Spears holds all of the headlines that she wears $500 a pair of underwear once, then throws them away and the scientist that discovered that the earth's axis was damaged/altered by the tsunami and did hundreds of mathematic calculations and figured out a way to fix it with a laser beam bounced off of a satellite station saving all of mankind should be on the front page but... was on the bottom of page 19... is a shame and an indication of where the priorities of this society are.
The government is robbing us in every way, selling us down the river and lying to us but we wont hear about it because the government uses the media to distract the public so they can get on with the corruption.
OJ gets the Top story slot because he breaks the law, thinks he is above the same laws that all of us have to follow while the story of CountryWide Mortgage investing their employees retirement fund in Countrywide stock!!!!! and restricting the employees from selling their stock while the executives are all dumping theirs, gets the small time slot before the weather and traffic update. PEOPLE, IT IS TIME TO WAKE UP AND CHANGE THE WAY THINGS ARE.
Just because everyone else gets a tattoo, a piercing, wears baggy clothes, drives a SUV and gets a big screen TV doesn’t mean that it is the thing to do, is not the definition of success, or happiness. Stop listening to the commercials, lets all have a break and reconsider what we want and need out of life and then do it. Think outside of the box, take back our government, be good to each other, learn how to treat our loved ones, friends and co-workers, think individually and put a stop to the greed and dishonesty in this country... Lets make it a better place for us all.
Dr. Phil really started the "cut through the BS", question the ways that are "traditional" and make changes for the better. We can join up with this new (and right) way of thinking and make things good again.
