Since Britney Spears and Kevin Federline split, the pop star's troubles have played out in the tabloids -- photographs at Hollywood hotspots with Paris Hilton, partying without panties, impulsively shaving her head, raging at a car with an umbrella, and spending a month in rehab.  Last month, the judge ordered the pop star to undergo random drug and alcohol testing twice a week as part of her ongoing custody battle with Federline.  Then what was supposed to be a comeback MTV Video Music Awards performance made Britney the butt of endless jokes, and the following week, her management firm dropped her and her divorce attorney resigned.  And on Monday, Britney hit rock bottom when she was ordered to temporarily relinquish physical custody of her children to Federline by a judge who had cited a troubling lifestyle fueled by drugs and alcohol.  Could Britney be at risk for suicide?  Plus, Dr. Phil will share insight into the Britney story from the inside. And, Spears’ former bodyguard who says he spoke out to protect her children, will tell Dr. Phil what led him to go public. If it's happening now, Dr. Phil is going to talk about it now! Share your thoughts, join the discussion.

Who knows and why would you want our opinion

My question is "Why did Britney not comply with any of the Judges orders except the one to turn her boys over?"
The only person who knows is Britney, that is why it is crazy to talk about and have a show about someone who wasn't there to represent herself

I was thinking the same thing!

After watching the show yesterday, I could not understand why it didn't occur to anyone maybe Britney wants her kids to live with her x-husband? It is sad but a known fact there are mothers in this world who don't want to keep their children on a full time basis. It's my understanding Britney's x-husband does not work and he does not have a busy life as Britney. He may be the better parent to keep the kids full time???? Just a thought.....

Watching a smiling Britney go tanning after giving her sons up speaks volumes.  I think it shows that she is not so far gone.  At least she can realize she is not doing a good job at the moment.  I give her credit for that.  When she gets better I hope she will be anxious to have the boys back and will comply with the judge.  If not then there are other women out there that just weren't cut out to be mothers.  She won't be the first.

Possible Post-pardum depression

I have never really cared for Britney, but I do feel sorry for her.  It seems that those around her have abandoned her.  The papparazi chase her (which yes she may thrive on that) and she is definetily under the microscope in the public eye.  I do tend to think she may be abusing drugs and/or alcohol, and possibly thinking that she is above the law, however, I wonder why no one has addressed the thought that she may be suffering from POST-PARTUM DEPRESSION.  Why hasn't any of her family (her brother), friends/cousins (Alli Simms) or anyone else suggested she at least get checked for that.  Which may explain the strange behavior.  She is young and had two children within a two year span along with the pressures of the lifestyle and career she has.

Could that not be a good possibility?  I think so....I'm no doctor but I am a mother.

What is postpartum depression?

Postpartum depression (PPD) is a serious medical condition that can develop some time in the first few months after childbirth. Without treatment, PPD can be prolonged and disabling. Postpartum depression is very common, affecting 1 in 8 women during the first months after childbirth.1 It can also strike after miscarriage, stillbirth, and adoption.

In rare cases, a woman may have psychotic symptoms that could put herself or others in danger. She may or may not seem depressed. This is called postpartum psychosis.

Postpartum psychosis

Postpartum psychosis is a rare, severe, and dangerous form of postpartum depression that can suddenly develop within the first 3 weeks following childbirth. A woman with postpartum psychosis may feel detached from her baby and other people; have hallucinations involving smell, touch, sight, or hearing; have thoughts not based in reality (delusions); display bizarre behavior; or have urges to kill herself and her child or children.

Britney and Kevin

Britney has been scrutinized for her lewdness moreso than Kevin. However, what is important is that the children are safely looked after.

Britney is an uneducated, miseducated little girl who married Kfed when he left his pregnant girlfriend and had to pay the consequences of his games and cheating.

However, life is 90% reaction, and her actions since their divorce have been only against herself and not for her children.

She lost it and she is a poor rich girl who can't figure out what she wants.

Oh Please!

I am so tired of hearing about Brittney this and that.........she is a person just like everyone else. Why is her business being posted all over television. I'm sure this isn't something that she is proud of. She has all these people around her and no one is helping her.  If someone doesn't step in and make her do something she will be another Anna Nicole or Marilyn Monroe. So sad. She has the money and the power to do so many positive things and she chooses to be an ass.  What is wrong with people???

Britney needs to have some honest help

Britney may have smiled for the cameras, but that doesn't mean that she was really happy.  She seems to be extremely confused and not knowing what to do next.  She probably just knows that whatever it is, it will be in photos somewhere.

With Kevin's money from Britney scheduled to cease at the end of October, how convenient that he finds any excuse to get custody of the kids and make sure that he will have income continuing from Britney. Now he can continue to soak her with this development.  It does not make him the better parent, necessarily.

Why didn't Britney go to court?  Why does she do a lot of what she does?  She does not get good advice and goes about showing the world that she will do what she wants and  it is not helping her cause. She has not handled her fame well and needs to avoid the spotlight and get her life back on track, be surrounded by people who care about her instead of the flashing lights and what money can buy.  The problem is that she does not know how to do this as she has shown many times over.

Maybe her parents can take the kids and help with them because her ex-husband always seems to be in a nighclub partying , with a cigarette and drinking himself.  Both of them need to grow up and start being responsible.  Kevin needs to get an actual job instead of trying to get more of Britney's money.

Britney just needs some legitimate guidance and a great manager.  After she gets some help, she should change her lifestyle and go low profile for the sake of the kids.  If she cannot do that, then the kids should stay with her parents.  Let's hope that they can be somewhere and not have to be chased and photographed constantly for now.

Sick Of Britney

I am so sick of hearing about Britney and all her problems.  I was shocked to see Dr Phil lower himself to devote an entire show about her.  Enough is enough with these Hollywood stars.  We all have lives and problems but who cares, you deal with your problems and get on with life.  Britney has enough money for god sake she could get all the help she wanted and do it privately.

10/04 Britney Breaking News

Quote From: cgallagher222

The body gaurd, Tony is a total slime ball. The nerve of that jerk getting paid $180,000.00!!!! to basically say things that other people said to him. He only really said that he felt that she  was doing drugs, he did not see it but he "felt" she was on drugs.  You know how many people would say that for one hundred and eighty thousand dollars???? Tons of people!!!

I dont know very many people that could live up to the social standards that are set up for the celebs, all the pressure, attention and critisism.  This young woman is all screwed up, heck most young celebs are warped from a strange childhood.  No real way to know if people like you for who you are or because you are famous.  It sucks for them, but she is a real idiot for parading her children in front of the cameras and for goodness sake put on your underwear and leave them on!!  I think the public needs to stop supporting these entertainment mags and tv shows, and I really feel Dr. Phil must not give this attention. We must all be more mature and stop being so facinated by these singers, dancers and sports players. The people that deserve our attention are the chemists, scientists and doctors that are discovering cures for disease, or ways to save the planet, or ways to reduce crime, inventing things that help humanity.  We really must start taking control of what the media feed us.  I want the truth, I am sick of the "spin" of the politics, the looking the other way on corrpution and fraud and get this country back to be something to be proud of.

I couldn't  agree with you more!!  So many people actually focus on the negative personality of stars.  Our children need someone to look up too but I think it shouldn't be just singers and dancers.  There needs to be a balance in children's lives.
