Since Britney Spears and Kevin Federline split, the pop star's troubles have played out in the tabloids -- photographs at Hollywood hotspots with Paris Hilton, partying without panties, impulsively shaving her head, raging at a car with an umbrella, and spending a month in rehab.  Last month, the judge ordered the pop star to undergo random drug and alcohol testing twice a week as part of her ongoing custody battle with Federline.  Then what was supposed to be a comeback MTV Video Music Awards performance made Britney the butt of endless jokes, and the following week, her management firm dropped her and her divorce attorney resigned.  And on Monday, Britney hit rock bottom when she was ordered to temporarily relinquish physical custody of her children to Federline by a judge who had cited a troubling lifestyle fueled by drugs and alcohol.  Could Britney be at risk for suicide?  Plus, Dr. Phil will share insight into the Britney story from the inside. And, Spears’ former bodyguard who says he spoke out to protect her children, will tell Dr. Phil what led him to go public. If it's happening now, Dr. Phil is going to talk about it now! Share your thoughts, join the discussion.

Find out what happened on the show.

accountability????

Quote From: cissie88

Okay I feel for Britney's two babies, and I think it was time someone stepped in to try and get them to a safe environment. That being said, I don't want to watch your ENTIRE program devoted to this young woman. If you feel the need to help her do it in PRIVATE. Most of us have had quite enough of Britney, Paris , Lindsay and all the other self-absorbed celebrities. While I wish no misfortune to happen to any of them, I really DON'T CARE to see or hear about their problems any more.

First, I agree wholeheartedly that these children need to be in a safe environment.

Second, I too have had enough with Paris, Britney and Lindsay, as well as with all the people that stick up for these spoilt brats.  I don't care what has happened to them in the past.  Many people have had inauspicious childhoods, and have grown up to be responsible, caring adults. Where is the accountability for these three?  Why do people make excuses for them and feel sorry for them?  Just like the rest of us, they should be held accountable for their own actions and poor choices in life-no matter  what happened in thier past.  It is high time for these women to become responsible and start acting like adults instead of spoiled, overindulged adolescents.

Please be very careful with your judgments, life has a way of helping you to see you are not above the rest!! I wish you strength, you are sure going to need it when you get knocked down off your high horse
And why are you having such a hard time with that poster that you responded to this way?  Like her, I do not feel sorry for Britney Spears.  Did you have a problem with that message because the poster did not make excuses for Britneys poor choices and actions? Britney made her own bed..SHE can lie in it.  SHE made poor choices...let her be accountable for her actions. That poster has the right to express her views on this subject.

Leave her Alone

Why are you devoting a whole show to Britney? I am tired of the media and shows such as yours devoting time to people such as Britney, Paris, Lindsey, and the like.  They thrive on it and the media and TV  just encourage their outrageous behavior!  Do you really think  Britney was watching you chastise her?  Come on!  There are too many people in this world that truly want to be helped.

I am concerned about any child that is not being cared for in a loving manner, but there are so many more out there that need someone to stand up for them - not just the children that are in the spotlight.

I would suggest you visit low income public schools and visit with those teachers and listen to them talk about the heart wrenching stories they have about their students.

I taught in those schools for twelve years till the heartache got too much for me.  Now I'm a day care director and still see children that have more problems than being taken out shopping late at night.

I only tuned in to the show because I was home recovering from surgery.  If this type of show is going to be regular, I'm glad I will miss it.

If you dont want to watch it....why do you? Some of us are interested in her well-being and would like to see it
Okay I tried once to answer this, don't know if it got thru, but I don't think it did. I DID NOT WATCH the show. That was the reason I posted what I did.  I'm tired of all this coverage of celebrities and their scewed up lives. They can WELL AFFORD to pay for any and all help they need. DrPhil should focus on people who can't. If she wants his help then by all means let him help, just do it in private. I would wager that there are more people who are not interested in seeing it than there are people like you who have no lives and are interested in it.

I rarely go into the message boards unless something really moves me to do so.  I am amazed at all the seemingly first-hand 'knowledge' of these celebs by writers on the boards.  Tell me the truth everyone...do you get this information from reading the tabloids while you're standing in the supermarket checkout lines?  Or are you spending hours watching TV (we all know that everything reported on TV is rarely true! Duh)  Seriously, I am not being sarcastic just amazed at the strong opinions you all have on something that is frankly none of your business.  The only reason I am thinking I don't have the level of inside news on this poor hounded star is 1) I am pretty busy raising a family, earning a living and giving back to my community trying to make the world a more peaceful place or 2) I'm not a RELATIVE or close, personal friend of the star's.  America, wake up and mind your own business and PLEASE find something better to do than living your lives vicariously through some larger-than-life star.  Be a star in your OWN life!

10/04 Britney Breaking News

Quote From: seattlady

Several years ago I watched Britney on a live primetime interview.  I observed an immature young woman who was behaving very childish and immature while holding a young baby in an awkward position. Her conversation was immature and unprofessional. Althewhile, the baby was being 'dangled'  while she was acting like a 'school girl.'  I couldn't help but think to  myself, 'where is this child's (Britney) mother? This young girl needs her mother, and she needs parenting skills in the worse way. Dr. Phil seems to have a high regard for the rest of her family, but where was the family before Britney had her meltdown?  My mother was there for me, even when I thought she was interfering, and trying to 'butt in where she wasn't wanted.'  I finally got the message and started listening to her, and she was right. I was a young mother that needed guidance and my mom stepped up to the plate and helped me. Thanks Mom.
According to what I've seen and heard on TV, Britney cut her mom out of her life. She's 25 and mom can't just step up and force her to listen. Being a mom I know that she wishes she could, but until Britney asks her she can't. I have a son who has battled drug addiction for the better part of 15 years, so I do know some of what Lynn is going thru, but really very little. My son doesn't have kids and has never been married. And God knows he's not a pop star.

Brit is a good mommy?

Quote From: davia77

i'm really sad that Britney has to be under the camera 24/7.....Britney is a good mommy and maybe she is going through some hard times right now but people are making a huge deal out of it. she is human and its sad  her every move is being watched....poor gal cant even pick her nose without someone making a headline saying "britney put drugs up her nose" when all she was doing was picking a lil boogy LOL ..GET OVER IT PEOPLE.....Britney will be fine and she will get her boys back soon......and 1 more thing... Kevin is making such a big deal about getting Jayden and Sean but is he ever with his other 2 kids by Shar Jackson??
How would you have any idea whether or not Brit is a good mommy?  And whether or not she will be okay?  She is an image that none of us know anything about except what the media has presented

Have you forgotten that Kevin was with Shar Jackson first & had children with her, before Britney stole him away from her & had children with him?
OH come on now, Kevin is a grown man. Britney didn't STEAL him. He went of his own free will. Britney is beautiful, but you're giving her way too much power. Kevin knew exactly what he was doing. After all HE was the one in a relationship and should have known better.
