Topic : 10/04 Britney Breaking News

Britney surrounds herself with people who want to be around someone who is famous, and now someone who is famous for being infamous.  She must think that any publicity is good publicity since she has her new purfume out and her new song out, but people think she is crazy, a bad mother, and a drug addict and a lot of bad things.  We don't really know what the case is, but we do know that she is using bad judgement and making herself look very foolish.

People for the most part are not trying to glorify Britney or pay too much attention to another spoiled brat, I think that they see a person who really needs help and are trying to say to her "Wake Up" and change what you are doing right now!

Kevin is not necessarily a better parent; he is probably looking for more money.  He doesn't have a real job.  Britney has spent most of her life not being a normal person living in the real world and now she needs to have some people help her to live her life to have a life outside of the Hollywood scene.  She choose to become a mother and when she made that choice, she needs to realize that she has to get out of the limelight for a while and schedule her appearences carefully so the kids can have a more normal life.  She has to make choices that consider them and consider her own health and sanity and her image.  She is sending out the message that she is defiant, but a lot of stars are all dead now Britney.  We get it!

Janis Joplin, Jim Morrison, Jimi Hendrix, Kurt Cobain, and many others should clue you in by now.  We get it, why can't you?  You have to decide if it is all worth it. You don't seem to care what people think of you, well your sons are people too.  And they will have to live with your choices.  People will just give up and stop trying to help you after all of this if you cannot clue in that all of this is meant as people trying to get a message to you to stop doing what you are doing for your own sake.

Why are you devoting a whole show to Britney? I am tired of the media and shows such as yours devoting time to people such as Britney, Paris, Lindsey, and the like.  They thrive on it and the media and TV  just encourage their outrageous behavior!  Do you really think  Britney was watching you chastise her?  Come on!  There are too many people in this world that truly want to be helped.

I am concerned about any child that is not being cared for in a loving manner, but there are so many more out there that need someone to stand up for them - not just the children that are in the spotlight.

I would suggest you visit low income public schools and visit with those teachers and listen to them talk about the heart wrenching stories they have about their students.

I taught in those schools for twelve years till the heartache got too much for me.  Now I'm a day care director and still see children that have more problems than being taken out shopping late at night.

I only tuned in to the show because I was home recovering from surgery.  If this type of show is going to be regular, I'm glad I will miss it.

Everyone keeps stating, what they are doing is in the "best interests" of these kids.  There was also a lot of talk on the show that day about Judges Orders and how those CANNOT be ignored and must be obeyed.  The one thing that stuck out to me on the show that day was the one shot of those poor kids in their moms(Britney) car and all those photograhers around them.  Those kids looked, especially the older son, looked horrified, it was sooooo sad, his little face, he was crying, I did not like it.  As a mom I don't know how Britney could take that, popstar or not, that's TOO MUCH. 

Why in holy name does the Judge not grant a "Court Order", "Judges Order", whatever its called so that these photograhers, during this whole custody thing, must stay away from those poor kids and their mother.  Wouldn't that be in the "best interests" of those kids?

 Dear Dr. Phil,

  Today I was really disappointed in something you said. Your statement was incorrect when you said; "Children do not get taken away from their mother's unless they really screw up." I think you would have been more correct by stating that most of the time children get taken away from their mother's when they screw up.

 You must know that are justice system has MANY imperfections. And MANY people go unjustly accused.

I am really one of your biggest fans, but today you really hurt my feelings. I have always felt that you were not a critical person. And that you were fare. But I guess today you showed your imperfections.

 You see, Dr, Phil I am one of those mother's who lost custody of her children. And though I know you only have my word to go by, I did NOTHING to lose my babies. First of all my ex-husband was 10 years older, I was 25 and he 35, he was a con, and was better at playing the system than I. He had a great deal of money, he was abusive mentally and physically and even got another woman pregnant when we were married. We had therapist stating that the children would be better off with me. But the judge still gave the children to him.

 Several years later, the very same judge was removed from the bench for misuse of his authority. (I believe there was more to the story.) And as you know from being in this business for 30 years, having a judge removed is not something that is done often.

 So my hope is that maybe you would clarify your statement, because it really hurt. And I feel like you are the type of person who can admit when you are wrong. If your show wasn't such a big hit I wouldn't really care what you said. But you must know how your opinion affects the public.
