Quote From: patty857Thank you!
I was so glad to hear from you. I have wrote Dr. Phil several time. I am sure he gets tons of email from people like us and has to sift through them.
Also got to make sure he keeps on top of Britney's story!
As it stands right now we have the story in 3 different news papers and we are trying to get a group of people together to rally ( peacefully) on the road to the Seneca Nation of Indians.
It is so sad, it is not all the Seneca People that feel this way or agree with what is going on.
It the so called Peacemakers judges that think will not honor our American rules.
This is not the first time that this has happened up there, since we have posted the story and gone as public as we can, we have had TON"S of emails from people telling us stories. The one woman lost everything because she was married to a Seneca Indiand and the peacemakers court stripped her of everything.
It is all sad that this kind of thing can go on in our country. Like I said, men and women are fighting to keep our American Flag flying with pride and honor, and keeping Freedom in our County. Yet a few people right here in the USA think that they are above the law and can write their own laws.
They did not weight all the facts in this case. I honestly do not think people know what is going on here unless they live it or know some one that is living it.
I also think that somethings people are afraid to touch because of the political hallo around it.
I think that is so sad.
The father has blamed us for being racist against the Indians, of for god sakes! I am almost 1/2 Indian, and Marissa mother is Indian, just not Seneca. WE all decided not to go there, we didn't think it was in the best interest of our Country to go to that extreme.
Thank you so much for listening to me blab..... as you can see I am very passionate about this. But I am also passionate about what is right. If I thought for one second that our Little Marissa would not be in a loving home and safe with her mother I would NOT put my neck out there.
I know her mom, her family... they are guilty of loving too much as times.
So be it, they are not abusive in any shape or form.
Thank you for writing to Dr. Phil I am so happy for your support!
I fear for Marissa and the care she is receiving from her father and his girlfriend.
Marissa's mother is a great mom. Granted, she is not perfect, but who is? If this case makes it's way into a federal court system and a judge says it is in Marissa's best interest to be with her father, then so be it. But at least it would be a fair decision and it would be made by an educated individual who is qualified to make that decision. It would be fair and unbiased trial.
If you would see the behavior that goes on inside the SNI Peacemakers Court you would just DIE. I seen it with my own eyes. I read the transcripts from the many hearings they had without Amanda even present. How they mocked her and the inappropriate things they said about her. I also saw they way they rolled their eyes at her Lawyer and family upon entrance to their court house. They even have gone as far as trying to lock out Amanda's family members.
Come on.... is this right? WHat is going on.?. THis wrong sooooooo wrong.
That would be absolutely wonderful if Dr. Phil could see our story and look further into it. Its not about different ethnicities, different people. Its about a little girl who has been taken away from every familiar aspect of her life and placed with people she hardly knows.
I pray for Marissa every day. For her safety, for her return home, and for her mom and sister who have to look at her empty bed everyday. For Amanda who has to continue to go in front of the SNI judicial system and be humiliated and lynched all on accuasations that are merely "hearsay." She is continuously told no. She travels over a 100 miles every saturday and sunday only for Marissa's dad not to show up for visitation.
The fate of a child should NEVER EVER EVER be left to be made by someone who is not educated or qualified to make the decision. That is what this is about. Pray for Marissa to come back home!
