Chester Stiles is the type of abuser we all need help in identifying....for the children of this world lets stop this from taking one more child's memories and killing them in a way we cant imagin. We need help and DR PHIL....HELP HER (the 3 year old) you can do it !!!  If anyone can it's you.
The problem is our system and our moral code. I believe we should castrate these type of ovenders on the first charge. That would put a end to lot of this crap. Pj

Glad he is caught.

I was molested when I was 8 till I was 12 and I couldn't tell anyone back then. But it has done alot to me but I have always kept it all inside. I did try to tell my step mother once and she told me I was lying. I never had any children and it makes me so sick to hear about this happening over and over and over again. I think we need to work harder to put a stop to this sickness. They say they are sick that is why they do it...well what do they think they do to their victims. I am in my early 50's and I am still not over it. I know it will be with me for the rest of my life. I had a husband that I told my story to and he just called me the nastiest names and told me it was my fault. So I just keep it all to myself. But thank you for letting me talk on here.

Child Sex Offender Got Custody

I married a man who came from another state not knowing that he was a convicted child sex offender. I had dated this man for a year before marrying him and we had a child together before his former wife heard about his having another child and thought I should know what he did to her minor daughter for two years before being found out. She informed me that he had molested her minor daughter (his stepdaughter) for two years, making her keep the secret, and only stopped when he was found out. In North Carolina he got no prison time, five years probation and court ordered sex offender classes. I left him in 1996 due to his cruel abuse of myself and our child. He has had me in family court in South Carolina for 11 years fighting for custody.  He remarried a woman he met on the internet who has money, and after fighting me for 11 years he has now been granted custody of our now 12 year old child.  I am a Christian mother who has always raised my child with good morals and values, and where he is now is just the opposite of the environment I have so lovingly provided for him all of his life. How can it be that a convicted and registered child sex offender could get custody of a minor child?  Is this not a blatant case of child endangerment???

Release Him To General Population

Why are they protecting this guy in jail?  as soon as he's convicted they should put him in general population and let him see and FEEL what it's like to get raped by a grown man (or many men!)  Cudos to the people who released her photo and his, and worked so hard to bring justice for everyone involved!  i have a three year old and would kill anyone who hurt her.  I can only imagine the horror this mother felt after finding out what happened to her daughter.  I would never trust anyone who offered to watch my daughters, my first instinct would be to ask why?  and then i would quit one of my jobs to be able to stay home.  There is help out there for single moms and hope more single moms learn from this.  Know your friends, and their friends, and their friends and follow that little instinctive voice that tells you something is wrong.  I will be praying for this mother and daughter.

why so shocked?

These animals are everywhere.  Why is any "registered" sex offender loose?  Who cares if they are registered.  They just keep on doing there thing.  Our legal systems doesn't care if kids are raped or murdered.  If children were valued in this country these people would be behind bars, period!  Also, these "registered" (oh I feel so much safer) animals are the ones that got caught. There are scores more we will never know about.  What really fascinates and perplexes me is why is it so prevalent in human males?  Males seem to almost always leer at young females. ready to pounce if they could.  Is it really a natural urge.  I know that sounds creepy, but is it a human male response to grossly lust after young females?  I have seen it with my two daughters since they were prepubescent and I am just left shaking my head.

Sexual Predators

I am so glad that they finaly caught this animal. I know what this little girl is going through, me, & my sister was molested for 5 year's by a close family member. I was a second grader that made stragith u's all the time, never did my homework that year, & nobody ever stopped, & ask me what was going on. My mother found out about what was going, & never did anything about it. She even continued to take us around him. My predator is still on the street's molesting little girl's. I just wish he was in prison where he belong's, i have thought about taking care of him myself, but i can not harm anyone of that nature, & im also a mother of 3 children, who i watch constantly. Im alway's worried about someone hurting them that way. i guess that fear will alway's be with me till i die.

Wake Up America!

Yes, it is shocking to hear of this terrible act toward a child. But America needs to wake up and realize that this is not an isolated act.  Each year thousands of children are abused just as badly or worse than this little girl.  For 17 years I endured horrific sexual abuse by a family member.  When I hear the media refer to this as the "worst" case they have heard of, I cry.  The media needs to do their homework.  This is a terrible crime and more needs to be done to keep these  predators off our streets and homes.  Has anyone evaluated this little girl to see if she dissociated during the abuse and may suffer emotionally eventhough she does not appear to remember the event?

A Scary Reality

This is yet another scary reality about sexual predators. I myself was sexually abused as a child and the reality of all this is, is that noone wants to discuss this issue with children. I strongly feel that children around 5 and up are capable of understanding good and bad touch. I was a nanny in an upscale neighborhood and a convicted child predator moved in - the cousins of the little boy i was a nanny for were unaware of why he was such a bad man, they were just told that he is a bad man. Needless to say, these little girls are 8 and 9. Had I been taught that it;s not ok to be touched then I wouldn't have been so scared to tell my mom. It's Unfortunate, but we really need to educate our children about this. Who agrees? Please understand that I was that child years ago and it still affects me to this day. I worry everyday that if something happened to my daughter that she wouldn't tell me. I am tired of fearing. I think we owe it to our children to let them know the truth even though the truth can be devastating. ( Most child molestors are close in family with their victims and very trusted) SCARY. Please help protect the children!

Outrage!

Dr. Phil,

I live in Las Vegas, and from the moment this story broke, until he was arrested, every moment was spent looking over my shoulder.

I know that Chester the molester, is a sick, sick man... as are others who prey on our most innocent treasures.  But, I think that when caught, the sentences should be much harsher, like they are for shooting a police officer.

I'm not sure if they can be helped, because as you say, you have to step up to the plate, and admit that you have a problem... and like most sociopaths, they just don't 'feel' empathy or admit guilt for what they have done to their victims.

They should be sentenced to hard labor, instead of sitting in a cell, and made to pay back to society, some of what their imprisionment costs...  surely, there must be some kind of work that they can do, to help make them think twice about molesting again!  Otherwise, their lives are useless, and they should be put to death for such a sick crime!!!
