As a matter of fact, yes

I agree with you regarding the books.

My mother, is a complex person. She has a low selfesteem. An dsometimes I get the feeling she is using me to feel better, either by telling me what I am doing wrong or either by telling me what her jealous husband think of me or forbids me to do. She is visiting my aunts in USA right now, and hopefully having a good time. I wish her to enjoy and be happy and get lots of love always. She does the best she knows how to as so many people do in this world.

Have you read any interesting books that you recomend lately?

Love and light.

I just finished UNLIMITED POWER by Anthony Robbins.  It has alot to do with CBT techniques, but also taught me about NLP- Neuro Linguistic Programming.  I thought it was fascinating. Anthony Robbins used to (still does?) motivational seminars here in the USA. At the end people walk over a bed of burning coals as a testament of the power of our minds and how we can all harness our brains to work for us.

Yes, this site has been a godsend for me!

I fully agree with you Marcia. I'm so blessed to have you people help me with what I need to see (what I'm denying), and how I can work and develop. It's such a joy every time I can experience a fearful part of myself and overcome it (change my ways).

I fortunately have other friends as well over here in sweden and an aunt in USA that I can talk to about almost everything. I am as i mentioned so blessed in my learningprocess here at this "earthschool".

Your "to do-bag" sounds like an excellent way of gathering ideas. Me I'm waiting on this book "this year I will" with M.J. Ryan so I can get organized.

Love and light

Between you and Linda who have been on this journey with me for so long and the new posters .. they help me to remember what it was like for me to work on that area of my life and to validate how far I've come.  It's been a wonderful experience.

You'll like MJ's book .. it contains so many different research & studies ... each sub-chapter takes you to different perspectives. I had to go out and buy the book because I wanted to re-read it later!  It's one of those types of books.  I got a lot of them in my personal library now!

I'm not sure I'd would be able to walk over coals ...

Anthony Robbins is an old teacher and his work is so viable today as it was when he used to do infocommericals.

What  is NEURO LINGUISTIC PROGRAMMING?

That's a good point, Linda

Quote From: ritehere

Carl Sagan said this in one of his books, and I always remembered it.
How are we ever going to hope to communicate with beings from other worlds, (if we ever encounter them), if we can't learn to communicate with the life on this planet?  Think about it, we share 99% of our DNA with oak trees, dolphins, snakes, and fungi. We can't even communicate amongst ourselves without breaking out into arguments and wars. How are we ever going to get ideas across to an organism that developed in a completely different way, with 100% different particles?
For now, I think we have plenty to worry about right here. If they come, if they have the technology to get themselves here to us, all we can hope for is that they have evolved past the stage we are at and have learned supreme communications skills.

Only a handful even try to communicate with the rest of the living world.  Atlantis was supposed to be the best mankind could manage and it mysteriously sunk like a Loch Ness monster and all these other mysteries I don't have the expertise to discuss.  I just know that it all lies within our own DNA.  and I know strongly how others feel about making stuff up.  Like the Vikings being the Loch Ness monster, I so think it makes sense, even the patterns of ancient Britain could be evidence of a sort of Atlantis, B.V. (before Vikings).

And the variations we are came to become due to changes otherwise we'd all be atoms floating through H2O, a very powerful element for change and development that is so much a part of everything.  Maybe aliens would not change much if they're got less water.  All speculation but interesting.

Like on Dr. Who, the other night, ancient chemicals creating ancient, unchanging creatures with only one remaining wanting so much to keep the species going through human life with the right DNA for life. ie. water.  The new-modern version of D.R. Who beats the old one, as an authorative old dinosaur-type, hands down.

I'm not sure, probably not as

Quote From: ritehere

Belinda, I only hope you're not poking fun at me with your concealed communications! lol
I'm a pretty literal person, that probably helps me on the boards because it's difficult to convey in written words what body language does in person.
I'm the person who quite often has to think about the joke before I get it. Oh well...

I'm not able to guess others reactions all that well.  I'm often misinterpreted, but this doesn't matter because other things get clearer, that I haven't experienced yet, at least you must have been amused, somehow, that's positive and informative.

I usually put this down to people only seeing what they want to see, like they're playing a video game, not what's really there.  And to my lack of experience, not mixed a lot with people, especially those they are used to, or I think they are.

But you've got an earthy approach, and that's reassuring, each time I try to think about something to write.

Got some work and communicating in the real world to do,

Belinda

It's interesting how we can change and use our brains. Most people use only a small part of the brains capacity. It would be great if could use much more of it.

I remeber once that I was caring for a 100 kg patient in her hospitalbed, I had pulled up the sides of the bed (it turned out that the sides of the bed wasn't properly attached to the bed itself) and turned the patient over to my side, then  the side of the bed came loose and I was the only thing preventing the patient from falling into the floor. So without beeing able to explain how I managed to push this patient on to her back again. She was incredibly heavy, but at that moment it didn't felt like she was.

Defining Your Authentic Self

Quote From: ritehere

You're right, there are no "do-overs" in life. But we CAN learn from experiences and decisions and events in our lives. If we don't learn the lessons contained then we are doomed to relive them over and over until we do.

Ya u r right but don't u think its actually hard to implement all this in real life than jus telling it to someone

anyway i am heading towards the path of not caring

it is helping

lets hope for the best

u also take care...........

what's in a word AHA moment

I'm still working thru the exercises in Martha Beck's book:  THE FOUR DAY WIN and I realized while I sat in my car waiting for my pizza to get done -- reading about how not to listen to my lies ... that I have a problem with the words  HOUSE WORK.  I allowed myself to flow and realized that it's okay to say YARD WORK .. or WORK OUT ... but house work makes me bummed out.  I've actually been looking for something different.

Yet, losing weight is really WEIGHT LOSS WORK isn't it?  I mean, I have to do all sorts of work ... exercise, eating right ... and it's time consuming and it takes life energy ... yep, it's work.

SO today, I realized when you really sit down and think about it.  It's just WORK!!  it stops being work when it becomes a habit and is done automatically without thinking about it.

This is a neat AHA moment for me!  Cause I see me just maintaining a clean and organized home ... and it will be done automatically and I don't want to ever think of it as SOMETHING I GOT TO DO .. it's something I want to do. It's part of my goal of becoming a home maker!
