Topic : 11/09 Debate Dr. Phil and the Bishop

That is funny and true I am glad somebody finally said it. The other thing is you do not hear white people calling themselves European American. Only in this country are other races allowed to do that. You not hear black people in Europe calling themselves African European. Also I am sick of blacks using the N word and its ok, it is also ok for them to call white people cracker,saltines, or vanilla head, but when a white person uses the N word alll the blacks in America get pissed off.

What are you going to do when your kid comes home and relates a racist event that happened to her/him. And it will happen, if it hasn't already. Are you sure you're equipped and qualified to deal with it? No need to write back, just think about it. No disrespect. But you need to really make sure you have all the information about race relations and the history behind it so that you are totally prepared. (I hope your kid is prepared to deal with it so they don't turn the pain inward on themself.)

I think that the notion that Dog the Bounty Hunter could be pulled from the air for using a word in a private conversation is absolutely ridiculous considering the FACT that that same word is spoken in rap songs aired on MTV and radio EVERY DAY!

 

You will not receive respect until you start to respect yourself.

Dog is about second chances for everyone, but we haven't given him one. He is doing good work and we can't censor his conversations with his son who has been in prison also and heard himself called that word because he has mixed blood, the same as his father. It was way out of line to cancel his show and he deserves better from the public. Dog can't win, that's why he is not on your show. The only way he can be heard now is if he could change the tone of his skin. We know its wrong and so does he, he lost it and he was trying to control a hopeless situation.

 I hate it when people play this card, when are people going to forgive about the wrongs other people did in the past.  What the hell am I suppost to do about what other people did in the past where I had no control.  Get over it, it happened there is nothing we can do about it.  I do not agree with what has happened IN THE PAST! People can not forget and we should not forget about our history and the wrongs that have happened. What we should do is learn from our wrong doings, and stop using them to get some kind of pitty or a leg up in society.  IT HAPPENED IN THE PAST AND WE CANNOT DO ANYTHING ABOUT IT BUT MOVE ON!

I understand why some people are upset about dog's comments to his son. The fact though is that this was a private conversation between him and his son. His son should be ashamed of himself for selling this to the tabloids. What some one says in the privacy of their own home should be just that private. Dog was not threating anyone or hurting anyone physically so it should have stayed private. I am a firm believe in the freedom of speech. Why is it that if a white person says the N word that person is racist but if a black person says it it is okay. I am tired of hearing that it is okay for one group of people can say certain words but others can not. I think we are taking things way to far now a days. We are forgetting the fact that everyone has the right to say what they think. We have the right to express our opions through words as we see them. Why is it that people are forgetting this basic right we have? I do not agree with a lot of things people say but it is their opions. I think that we are taking this political correct society way to far. If we all lived by this new rule of being politically correct then we would all share the same views and opions and no one would ever disagree. We would all give up our civil rights and freedoms and live by one persons rules and beliefs. We would all give up the right to make our own choices and give up the freedom to do things that we enjoy and believe in. There would be no more talk shows like Dr. Phil because we would not need them. There would be no televisions show unless they were the ones that the leader liked. There would be no use for news and radio. We would be living under a dictator instead of a democracy.

we need to stop blaming parents for everything kids are doing.  the law has taken all power away from us. If you disipline your kids, spanking, you can go to jail...there is a big difference between abuse and disipline.  all our kids hear is that if their parents disipline them call the police.  As a parent of 5 I know the fear of having the law called on you. the schools encourage kids to call the police if they think the parents are to mean.......give us our power back then maybe kids will start respecting their parents again and just maybe we can get them back on the straight and narrow

This is crazy, My family is from alabama my daughter is 14 , she is assaulted on the school bus she dosen't fight back because we've taught her that fighting is bad and to not do it .  She did nothing to  provoke the attack on her from this young black girl, my daughter is an AB student , and running for student council, never been in trouble but they suspended my daughter for three days cause the other black girl lied on her and her friends backed her up the school or the school board here didn't want to listen to us or anyone else cause they didn't want to get into a racial issue.... so we had my daughter start taken a recording device with her to school when she went back this same 12 year old black girl and other black children on the bus were recorded calling the white childern  "white crackers" and the other black childern were called "niggers" and their were threats made that were un-real we presented this to the school and they did nothing but move the girl to another bus we tried to get a lawyer to fight the school but no-one will even talk about it with us,  My daughter did nothing wrong and has been put through so much we never taught her to be racial yet she has been racially abused so were's the justice I cant say the  {N} word but a 12 year old girl can call others that and call my daughter a white cracker.... Dr Phil if you read your boards I would love to hear from you or any one on your show today on this issue and if their is a lawyer in Alabama that's not affraid to hear us get in touch ....
