(Original Air Date: 11/15/07) Dr. Phil continues the story of a young woman who made international headlines when she ran away to Palestine to be with a man she met on the Internet when she was just 16. Katherine was stopped by the FBI and brought back home, but two years later and now an adult, she’s left the United States again to be with Abdullah, the man she says she loves and wants to marry. Katherine’s terrified family thinks she is being brainwashed, and may never be allowed to return home. They say they’ve witnessed Abdullah’s violent temper when he’s verbally abused her over the phone. Now, in an exclusive interview via satellite, Dr. Phil speaks with Katherine and Abdullah together. Is Abdullah lying about letting Katherine return home? Is this couple already married? Talk about the show here.

Wow, are you in for a surprise when you bother to find out the REST of the story.

This has nothing to do with Palestine, other than it is a dangerous place in general...that is a fact. The reasons for it are moot. This was a stupid little girl who ran away to a dangerous place to be abused by a jerk.

People need to stop making this more complicated than it actually is.

It's not about you or anyone else being Arab, it has to do with the FACT that at this particular point in time Palestine isn't the safest place. Get over your persecution complex and see this for what it actually is.

This girl wasn't "in love"...she was in lust and wanted to run away. It was a stupid thing to do...because she ran to a dangerous place...and because she ran to an abusive man.

I met my husband on ther internet and he is from Paksitan. But I also didn't rush and meet him with in months. It took me 3 1/2 years before i agreed and went to paksitan to marry him. Shes not in danger

I think this is the most racist thing i have ever seen. If she met a guy in italy or some other county there would be no big deal about it its just because he is arab and lives in the middle east. Dr. Phill and her family are making him look so bad. he seems like a sweet guy, they have been talking for 2 years they are in love. As for him yellin at her and her fam, they were yellin at him, thats what happens when you fight, thats why its called a fight. They are scared because she is in palestine and its a war zone, now her family knows how Palestine's feel everyday. She does have rights there i wish people wernt so ignorant.

I Feel For Her Parents

I feel for the parents of this girl. To have your child so far away and be able to do nothing to make sure they are okay is horrible. I hope she keeps her word and returns to the U.S. on Friday. I do not however believe she will. I do believe she could be in very big trouble and that his family is very well aware of all that is going on. Why would any parent fly someone elses child to another country not knowing them, and only after talking to their son on the internet. Something is very wrong here. My heart and prayers go out to this family!
