(Original Air Date: 11/20/07) Dr. Phil continues the startling story of Wade and Michelle. After the taping of their last appearance on the show, the pair retires backstage, where they immediately get into an argument. Emotions run high as Dr. Phil joins the couple for a talk. Learn how Dr. Phil responds to a tearful plea from Wade. Days later, Michelle calls a Dr. Phil producer and leaves a message saying, "I need big help, and I'm going to tell you something huge, and I'm scared." When Dr. Phil returns her call, find out the shocking bombshell Michelle drops. What does Wade claim to have done that is so extreme, Dr. Phil feels compelled to get the F.B.I. and the state police involved? Saying she fears for her life, Michelle arranges a protective order against her husband, which sets off a dramatic turn of events. How does Wade respond to the court order? Is his embattled wife able to break free from him and also keep their children safe? Find out who paid a visit to relatives to retrieve a shotgun, who may have taken too much Ambien, and who wound up in the county jail for breaking the protective order while purportedly trying to rescue the other from the brink. And when Michelle sits down with Dr. Phil, learn what she says is her reason for carrying on. Talk about the show here.

Find out what happened on the show.

11/20 A Husband’s Shocking Confessions, Part 2

Quote From: sjone106

Boy am I confused, I think they both need help.   Who would stay after being told those things?  Who would actually go with him to sites of apparent  murders?  Who would call calmly, ask for a call back to report that he had admitted to murder?  If we don't want drama, why do we call the person that has scared us to death to tell him about taking too many sleeping ?  How about cutting on herself?  I felt what she said was true on Monday but I wondered on Tuesday.  It would seem that the words she said, and her facial affect didn't match on Tues.

Hi,

well like you i'm so confused after seeing the first part of this show. Surely this guy can't have done all this stuff he says hes done and his wife is still with him???. I did wonder about the cutting of herself also. mmm wonder if thats a lie too..  if she is... then she needs serious help also appart from the husbands issues shes dealing with. looks like Dr Phil has his work cut out for him with these two mental cases. and where are the kids at  this point?? can you imagine the nightmare they are living with these parents. very sad. what about their jobs ? how could anybody hold down a  job with all this drama going on in their lives.Dr Phil i dont envy you you're job, you must go home at night with a blinding headache after dealing with this.

Probably not MPD!!!

Quote From: rovngypsy

We do have to rememeber this is entertainment, and it must be built up to a surprise ending so we will watch tomorrow.  I don't understand how he can come back on the show.  I would think just confessing to something of this nature would be enough to hold him in jail while the authorities search for a body or bodies.  So, why is he out and about?  I am sure there is a lot we do not know.

I think we will find out he has multiple personalities.  I did notice while Dr. Phil asked him questions, he answered without any fidgeting, eye movement and with total certainty.  If he did these things as he says he has, then only a severely mentally ill person could react with that behavior.  The "Wade" Dr. Phil was talking to did not commit any wrong, it was the other "Wade".

I don't know why Michelle and the children have been staying in motels.  Where is her family?  Why haven't they stepped up to help her?  Why hasn't Dr. Phil put her up somewhere where the children can have stability?  You're right, there is more to this story and yep, I'm hooked, so I will watch tomorrow.

I have to respectfully disagree with you about the Multiple Personality Disorder idea, and suggest that some of the people on this board do some research before comparing Wade with the tragic people who have MPD. My mother has MPD, or DID (Dissociative Identity Disorder). It's a very rare condition that only occurs in people with the ability to practice self-hypnosis, and is caused by severe, prolonged abuse, neglect and other trauma. In my mother's case, she was an unwanted child and her family treated her like a piece of trash. She was their personal punching bag and even a source of exploitative income, as they would prostitute her to pedophiles for cash. Ever read "A Child Called It?" My mom's story was very similar, the main difference being that she can dissociate and that boy could not.

People don't just randomly develop MPD/DID. You can't be born with it. People with the disorder are not "evil," as someone else on here suggested. They're just very sad people. Actually, it's very rare for an MPD/DID to commit a crime (though not unheard of). And as for the answering without fidgeting, eye movement and total certainty, that sounds more like a Compulsive Liar to me. He probably has some sort of Psychopathic/Sociopathic Disorder. His total lack of emotion was so unnerving, it didn't remind me at all of the DID/MPD people I know. Those poor people have suffered so much that they're practically overflowing with emotion.

So please folks, do some research before you start talking about this stuff. It's bad enough that Hollywood spreads the ignorance around! The only people out there who truly fit the definition of 'evil' are the Sociopaths/Psychopaths (essentially the same thing with slight differences). They are the ones who lack empathy for others, manipulate, lie, cheat and steal, and in the end believe they did the right thing. They can't be treated with drugs and they manipulate any attempts at therapy. They are essentially untreatable. By contrast, Schizophrenics, Manic Depressives, ADD and ADHD suffers, and Dissociative Identity Disordered people, among others, have problems in the brain that they can't help, and would if they could! Psychopaths think there is nothing wrong with them!

I hope this explains some things!

CONFUSED!!!

It sounds to me like both Wade and his wife have mental issues.  The children need to be taken away from both of them.  She cuts herself, overdoses on pills and says she won't leave him until they find a body!!!   She is not of sound mind and is not capable of protecting these children.   And if Wade is just lying about killing people, I would say that he has a serious mental illness to the point where it might be possible for him to eventually kill someone.  He needs to be committed because he is a danger to the public.  His wife also needs to get some serious help.  She seems to be 'a few bricks short of a load'.  Get yourself together girl.  Get some brains and some balls.  I can't stand it when women act so pathetic.  Dont' be so stupid!!  These kids don't have a hope in hell of turning out right.

I agree, I think  they both have serious mental issues going on.  #1...she has cut her own wrist, and ODed on sleeping meds, she is not capable of taking care of 2 sets of twins, the way her mind is right now.  At first I was feeling sorry for Michelle but, something about this story isn't adding up, I really think alot of this is for sympathy, on her part.  Saying she will leave or whatever when they find a body, is she crazy??  I truly don't know where to believe he did all of the things, that he has confessed to of doing, but I DO think he is capable of doing something like that!  I think they both need help!  I think we will all see somethings tomorrow that we were not expecting to see.  See you all tomorrow!  ps.  I Love you Dr. Phil, you are the man!!

AMEN!

Quote From: drewg1117

does anyone else feel this story maybe contrived? i find it hard to believe that a woman who has found this information out about her husband would be so composed. it looks like bad acting. this whole story has a made up feel to it. i hate to think that the dr. phil show has resorted to making up stories but, this one seems fake. why would dr. phil invite a possible murder on to recount his story? wouldn't the police take him into custody if there was a remote chance of him being violent? how would he be able to cross state lines in the middle of an investigation?

Yes, exactly.  It does feel contrived.

And I forgot to say in my original post that I wonder if Michelle & Wade aren't somehow in it together for the attention.  They're on a popular TV show.  For THREE days.  I'm not saying the whole story isn't true, but after Part 2 it just raised a huge stink & all kinds of red flags on both their parts.

Like I said before...Dr. Phil needs to be careful of what he choses to air.  His show is more & more becoming a tabloid instead of common sense advice.

I agree

Quote From: shadycat1

A phrase comes to mind here, "No victim, No crime", please allow me to explain.

Apparently there was no missing person's report for his supposed victim, now either he's lying or that poor woman was pathetically lonely.  Let's face it, Gary Ridegeway's victims had family looking for them, their pictures were posted, and most of them were prostitutes, the ones you would EXPECT to have no one looking for them, so a woman disappearing in a Suburban Park while jogging is sure to call attention.

No body, now I realize a person can be tried and convicted without a body, however its not really that easy to do, and really unless they scoured the trunk of his car for Blood evidence, how did he dispose of the body, seems to me on a jogging path, especially in a public park or something of the sort, it would make your choices pretty limited, at least that's the impression I got from the previews.  Could be wrong.

Could it be a fantasy of his to rape and kill ? That's a dangerous thought, but seriously is it his way of feeling big and important (whatever happened to lying about the Cadillac you don't have ?), helluva a way to do it, but look at this board, he is probably reading it, and his ego is swelling from the attention he is getting.

Like I said previously, Jeffrey will have to work DAMN hard to be scarier than this guy.

If indeed this is just a fantasy, its just a matter of time before he gets the compulsion to fulfill it.  Personally, I think he's lying, and yes people will lie about something that horrendous, but time will tell whether I'm right or wrong.

He was with a woman with a flat tire I wonder where her car is???? I wrote on the board about the same thing you wrote. He is getting thrills from all this ,some liars lie so much they believe themselves and if he did these crimes I find fault with law for not reacting more professionally and respond with these confessions

11/20 A Husband’s Shocking Confessions, Part 2

Is it just me or is there something very "off" about this woman as well.  Her emotional responses do not seem very genuine.  Not that I doubt that Wade is a sick freak but I don't think this is as big a surprise to her as she is letting on.

I think something is very fishy about this wife

There seems to be something wrong with her body language and the way she is communicating this information. If she isn't lying directly, then perhaps she plays some role in this or they are both engaging in some bizarre sexual relationship.

This is Low

To me this story is contrived, and even if it is real, the wife appears as sick as her husband. First of all she listens to his sick confessions, and instead of calling the police the first chance she had she asks him to take her to the spots where he raped and murdered in order help him remember exactly what he had done, and dramatically tells his mother, "If I don't come back, look for me." Then she trembles as she says I thought he would kill me. After going to where he says he raped an murdered a woman, who she felt "so sad for," she goes home with him to discuss thing further, he gets sexually arouse and they have sex. This woman has two children in the house and her and husband are discussing murder and making love. This appears to have turned her on too! Maybe it’s a sick sex game they're playing with each other.

Then she comfortably calls Dr. Phil’s staff, waits until the cameras get to her house and goes on and on about how he is a serial killer and murderer, and then she says, "When they find a body I will leave!" She's cutting herself, taking pills with her two young children unattended and some how she hasn't changed the locks because her crazy ex-husband was able to come into the house and find her. How convienent.

What crazy sick sexual game are these two playing and how in the world has Dr. Phil allowed himself to be part of this strange game. I have no sympathy for this woman, there are woman who pursue men in prison, and get more turned on the more heinous the crime and she appears to have some of this sick fascination in her. She's getting a lot of attention, and telling a dark tale but she is not a victim whatsoever. Sad, sad story because two innocent baby boys are stuck in the middle of to sick people. If he is a rapist and murder I hope he is locked up and punished accordingly but as far as she's concerned I am almost as disgusted.
