As expected, I think President Obama (still love saying that) is doing a fine job.

He has a very high approval rating.

Take care!

Amy =)

His approval rating is dropping everyday as the folks figure out that his agend is more important then fixing this economy. adding as much to our debt as Bush did in 8 years  in a short 30 days. ugh! : o(

And I promise I won't even reply to whatever you write, but I'd like to know, in your own words, how you think Obama's doing a "fine" job?

And by the way, his approval ratings are slipping daily.

Maybe not-

Quote From: kathleen27

Amy, I know that you support President Obama, and I don't.  I still never saw you, or you opinions, as rude or disrespectful to John McCain, but you did not care for him as President, as such, you voted for your choice of the better man.  I did what I felt was best for the country, so the only difference between us is that your candidate won, mine lost.

The "immature bullcrap" is a fear of another Great Depression.  My anger in seeing so many Americans losing their jobs, monies being spent in TRILLIONS of dollars, partly, with one bill that wasn't read through?

You cannot read a paper, or listen to a news program where there is nothing but dissention.

Another FEAR of mine is that IF this presidium fails, we are in for serious R.L. Republican radical Government.

Either way, it's some legacy to hand to our children, and I'll admit it...I am scared!

In total honesty, I ENVY your faith in Obama, because IF I could have that, I'd have peace of mind.

Kathy

Maybe it will mean the other parties get an influx of support.

I think many people, myself included, are sick of both democrats and republicans.

The news has been full of H. Clinton talking about the millions we will send to Gaza.

THEY lob rockets over the border at Israel for 7 years, Israel finally says enough is enough and puts them down. Now, we're rewarding the Palestinians with money we don't have.

Nothing this president does makes any sense.

I know obama admin. doesn't like saying terrorist anymore. but that 900 million will end up in the hands of those terrorist and our tax dollars will go to weapons to kill our men and women fighting over there.

The only way this  guy makes sense is if he is trying to distroy this country.

He's showing a nonchalant attitude when it comes to going back on his words and promises.

NM senate votes down domestic partnership bill; said it would have allowed for the courts to later challenge the sanctity of marriage... http://www.santafenewmexican.com/Local%20News/Domestic-partnership-bill-fails-in-Senate ...The bill by Sen. Cisco McSorley, D-Albuquerque, failed 17-25, with 10 Democrats joining all 15 Republicans in opposition The bill would have given unmarried couples — including same-sex couples — the ability to file as domestic partners and have many of the (benefits) of married couples.
Opponents claimed the bill would open the door to same-sex marriage. In fact, Sen. Bill Sharer, R-Farmington, said he believes SB12 was "set up specifically to set up a court challenge," that would impose same-sex "marriage" in New Mexico...
In previous years the vote on similar bills was much closer. It failed by only one vote in the Senate in 2007.
What changed? Sanchez said court decisions in California and Connecticut determined that the domestic-partnership laws violated those states' constitutions by creating a separate-but-unequal institution.
Before the bill was debated on the Senate floor, McSorley introduced a substitute bill that took out all references to marriage and spouses from the original SB12.
But both Cisneros and Sanchez said they had a problem with a section of the compromise bill that refers to the state marriage statute.
"If they just spelled out all the rights you'd get under a domestic partnership and not refer to the marriage law, the bishops probably would drop their opposition," Sanchez said...
"The bishops were trying to be compassionate," Sanchez said. "We don't want to legislate everything we believe in, but sometimes you have to stand up." Cisneros said he could support a version of a bill like Sanchez described, with no reference to the existing marriage law. "If we could get a bill like that, I'd be glad to make a motion to reconsider," he said.
Campos, who supported domestic partnership bills in past sessions, voted against SB12. Shortly after the vote he issued a statement saying his decision to vote no was very difficult.
Campos said he was sympathetic with people who have "expressed a genuine desire to have equal rights to share personal holdings and be able to make end-of-life decisions for loved ones and lifetime partners." But the California court decision on same-sex marriage made him hesitate...

It's possible he's doing the appeasement thing to appeal to Iran's sensibilities in regards to nuclear capability.

I wouldn't go about it this way, but I guess we're going to play the hand-out-money-we-don't-have game and wait to see what happens.
