Dr. Phil and Robin invite you to celebrate the season with their sons, Jay and Jordan, and Jay's wife, Erica. The McGraws share some amazing gifts with deserving families who fill the audience, most of whom were affected by the recent Southern California wildfires. First, Howie Mandel and the models from the hit show Deal or No Deal bring some cool presents to put under the Christmas tree. Then, Matt returned from his honeymoon cruise to discover that he and his wife, Danelle's, first home perished in the California fires. And Ruby turned on the news and watched helplessly as her home burned down. Don't miss the wonderful surprises Dr. Phil and Robin have to help them get back on their feet! Plus, Marie Osmond makes a special appearance, and Robin reveals several beauty products that make great stocking stuffers. And, as national spokespersons for Toys for Tots, Dr. Phil and Robin help the organization kick off its 60th anniversary with some surprise visits to needy families in Virginia. Talk about the show here.

Find out what happened on the show.

This continued..on and on?

I for one am so surprised at all the negativity here.

I for one would love to hear Dr Phil's slant on the things that are being said.

He might call a couple of you KNUCKLEHEADS!!!

or maybe say..Hows that working for you!!!!

HE told us before the show that day its his favorite day of the year.

SHAME on all of you for trying to make he and Robin feel bad.

If you like him..and watch him regularly..then you should know he is a good man, that thinks things thru.

I'm sure they do plenty for the "poor and deserving folks you all talk about..."

Hes that kind of guy!!!! and has the resources...

I want to thank each and every one of the people that understand exactly what happened on that show..

Dr Phil and Robin arranged to be the vehicle to deliver to people that the show PICKED...a nice Christmas.

Not any of us..know any and all their stories. Some of the sad tales here, might...measure up to them...

The ones I talked to that day..HAD NOTHING..left after the fires... No TV to watch Dr Phil on, no pans to cook with...NO computer to write mean spirited things on...etc etc....

Losing everything you own..basically makes you and easy person to buy for ...you have nothing..so anything is OK.

I personally at the show..saw some of the people giving their toys they received to the toys for tots barrel, and to other people that had kids.

I know many of us...shared with neighbors...and people less fortunate...

PASSING the BLESSING ON!!!

Having sat in the audience and having seen with my own eyes..the genuine joy that Dr Phil got giving these gifts...was enough for me.

Ive watched the same shows you have and felt jealous, and why not me...then this time..when it was me..I was so blessed..but its sad that there are so many people feeling so left out.

Ive worked  hard my whole life, was disabled at a point in my life...and lived thru some tough times...but I never could have bought any of these things for myself, i too would have never believed Ide get a chance...to be there that day...none of us knew why we were there, we thought we were there to see a show about recovery from the wildfires...

Thats what makes the gift special to those of us who got them.

I want to ONE MORE TIME SAY>>>>>>>

Thank YOU Dr Phil,Robin and family....thank you for having such a heart...

last year the Katrina victims....this year the fire..and many handicapped and disabled people...

You did a wonderful thing...don't stop....

and I love my watch....(smile)haven't taken it off....NEVER will....if I have anything to say about it!!!!

I hope I'm never in a another wildfire situation like this years it was HORRENDOUS, SCARY and surreal...

TV couldn't even show a 10th of it!!

Be happy and blessed and safe...and most of grateful for the fact you are alive and breathing, many aren't after the fires...many had horrible losses... Pray for them.

Everyone in California isnt rich...

Quote From: cogeron

Dear Dr.Phil,

Dr.Phil why are you helping people that allready have great insurance coverage on their homes

and can afford to rebuild lives???

I live on SSI in the state of Texas.I make a whopping big amount of $623.00 a month and $103.00

in food stamps.I don;t own a truck I can't afford to fix my furnice. I can't under stand why when the RICH

have a problem they get everything given to them? After I pay my bills I don't have any money to buy cloths, gas or anything else, then I turn your show on and you are helping the rich or middle class...

I see that because I'm disabled I don't mean anything to anyone anymore..If I had money maybe I could go to your show and get all thoes gift to .

So what about the poor???? Are we just suppose to disappear? I would like to have the money you spent on all thoes gifts to it would help me,but that will never happen, when you are disabled you are supposed to stay in your house and don't leave, people don't want to remember are see the poor.

thank you for being on TV Dr. Phil , all in all I do get alot out of your shows ......

How do you know anything about what insurance any of the people on the show had.......thats assuming alot.

If you would look into it, you may find that many people are very uninsured..and also an area that burned had many people much like yourself, on ssi and disabled, and  they are not living under the usual.."movie stars, big cars..homes" that you think all Californians live in..

ITS NOT A REALITY!!!!

Many people in California are disabled..like you,,,many are unemployed, or living with other family members to make the cost of living a little less.

I care  alot a bout YOU and I know Dr Phil does..too... please try to find it in your heart to be happy that people that have less than you right now...were treated so nicely...

One day it might be you.....you never know....

12/13 Dr. Phil and Robin's Holiday Special

Some people took offense to my last post because they're disabled. I work with a woman in a wheelchair who answers phones in a doctors office *and* takes classes to become a counselor. She could easily get disability and sit around the house all day popping Ativan and worrying about what free gifts Dr Phils audience gets.

No one says you have to do manual labor! Even Dr Phil says this is an "eat what you kill world".

There are probably at least 100 million people in this country living below the poverty line.. and what, maybe 50-100 people were in Dr Phils audience for free diamonds and tvs? Some of yall are acting like everyone but you got a prezzie.

That free blackberry wouldn't make a darn bit of difference in anyones life.

OK that post aways back about Ellen, something along the lines of "I don't like the fact that she's gay but I like the fact that she lets people at home have presents too."

That made me snort diet pepsi all over my keyboard.

Dr Phil, I *like* the fact that you're straight, I just don't like the fact that my house would have to have burned down to for me get Jordans t-shirt for free.

It's pretty profound to witness the amount of jealousy emulating off these threads. People whining don't really care about the starving children in Africa, they're just upset that they will never have the opportunity to be on a show like this. The lack of empathy for the victims of the California fires is amazing, even more so when the people displaying their rage completely ignore all the segements in the show where clips are shown of donations made to charities.

I do'not see as much Jealousy as I do worry.  Worry for our children of the United States........The ones here that are starving. Charities are non profit org's that get alot of money from the goverment and other way's.......I say set up a food line in several city's across the U.S. & Calif  On Christmas Day. Give away gift's to children and make a day of it and all of Hollywood can work in the food line while the rest of us hand out toy's that Hollywood provide's  !!  SOUND'S GREAT TO ME  ; )    WELL DR.PHIL SOUND LIKE A PLAN?.........I AM A GREAT ORGANIZER  LET ME SET IT UP!

12/13 Dr. Phil and Robin's Holiday Special

It's very good to see people like you and Robin sharing your wealth with so many people.  If I were to become financially better, I would do the same thing.  I had much rather give than take.  My home burned down in 1987 and we lost everything.  People never gave us anything except sympathy. I never thought anything about it at the time.  There was just too much to do trying to get built back, keeping up with our jobs.  But it seems that when things happen to people in numbers, people are there.  But when it's just one no one is there.

Now, how can I get tickets to your Holiday Special show next year?

Peg

I'm sad reading this

First, I feel awful for those of you struggling through tough times.  I'm a SAHM because it would cost US money if I wanted to work by the time I paid for daycare.  My husband lost his job the day before Thanksgiving, and he's not eligible for unemployment.  Our December rent hasn't been paid, so without a major miracle, we'll be evicted in January - with noplace to go.  I applied for food stamps, but because of their backlog, I can't expect to actually receive any assistance until March at the earliest.

I don't want sympathy...I'm not whining here...just trying to explain that I KNOW what it's like to suffer and do without.

When I watched this show, I didn't feel any sort of jealousy.  I just felt thankful.  My son's art projects are still safely on our closet shelf, our family pictures are still on my bedside table, all of the crap that I consider essential for daily life is still HERE...it wasn't burned to rubble.  The rest of it...the missing rent money, etc...God will find a way to get it to us.  We have everything we NEED!

I'm pretty sad that so many of you are having a hard time just being thankful that you didn't lose everything you own.  Yes, insurance can rebuild a house...but family heirlooms, mementos, pictures...those are gone forever.  And if a pair of diamond earrings makes someone smile who's facing a Christmas with NO tangible reminders of their memories, then they deserve them.

Liked Show But!

I enjoyed your Christmas show and very glad to see people in need get help. Although it does depress me a bit because there are a lot more people that need assistance. Some of which are not a part of a major catastrophic event but have little or nothing. I know you can't take care of everyone. Some that need are just those who are down on their luck or a victims of circumstances beyond their control.

Again I think your show was honorable and those folks were very deserving of the assistance. I'll be watching.

Dr Phil and Robin weren't sharing their wealth in this, or past, Holiday Specials. Nor, has Oprah Winfrey, in hers. All of the gifts are donated by sponsors. It's gives them publicity.

Re: Christmas Show

Hi, does anyone remember the name of the jeans Robin mentioned she loves? I have been navigating around the site, and am not finding a link.

Thank You, and Happy Holiday's!  :-)
