Get rich quick

Quote From: tigercub247

The problem is it looks so easy. Nothing more is asked of you than to give out a little information. The problem Peggy is that with just that small amount of information alone, you could have your identity stolen. For instance, you give your name and address out:
1) I can know go to your home and
a) go thru your trash and get personal information
b) potentially stalk you
c) rob you
etc. and that is just what can be done with the info. Other scams ask you for your name, address, bank account number where they can send you the check and your social security number of the. This too leads to identity theft. Others ask you to send them a check for say $3,000 in order for the funds to be released. This too is their way of gaining something from you for nothing. Your Hard Earned CASH. Please Peggy, do not fall prey to these scams. In the end the only thing you will have gained nothing and potentially lost everything. Also please note that they are now calling homes with this same type of scam, stating that the government has had money that is yours. If that is the case than you can verify the information through government or legal channels. I hope this helped.
Sincerely
AJ

AJ,

Thanks for the response.  I still get these every day.  I have since found some good and sound info put out by a bank out of the country.  They say to delete (which I have always done), block sender .  Blocking doesn't help because I don't get any from the same person or same name.  My theory was they were trying to steal my identity, and I'm sure that could have played a part in it.  But the Bank says they are trying to get this money into this country for different reasons.  The least not being for terrioist. And there was no way that they were going to let you keepit.  That has really scared me. Not for myself falling for it, but for others who might fall for it.    (I think the bank was Bank of America in Nigeria)

Peggy

It's out there

Did anyone catch the name of the invention (or anything specific) that helps you trim while painting?  I actually thought it was a great idea as I HATE trimming when painting (and like to change my paint color a lot) and this looks like it would actually be useful and faster than taping everything off.  Thanks!
I believe that you can buy something just like this at Home Depot and/or Sears Hardware....I used it last time I painted...it really didn't work too well; paint dripped behind it.

Patents/Inventions

I was so happy for the patent website and the reasonable costs.  I have a great idea and am working on drawing it.  IT is a fast quick money thing so I need money, marketing and distribution.  It is the kind of item that is in right now.  I am looking for an investor but I want to be able to talk about it.  So this website takes the stress off my product possible.  I like quick turn items, I don't want to sell sink sponges or make them forever.   I have had some experience some years ago and I paid to make the item and sold it right out of my porche.  Then on consignment and finally a magazine.  This is so good and time sensitive for maximum desirability.  I can't wait to pay the $105 and get started.  You could see me on HSN or QVC!!!!  Thanks Dr. Phil!!!

Oh Yeah,  I am working on 2 children's books and working to find  the right illustrator.  Two people are working on 3 pages and it would be great if I didn't have to look any further.  This I will publish myself,

More inspired than I was before.....Thanks again!!!!!

07/03 Get Rich Quick Disasters

I'm not sure where this comes from.

My Mother, my husband and I have all fallen for 'one' in our life times (60-90).

But our children (3)  seem to fall for everything.   And I even watch my friends.

I hate to say it but I think it's a form of greed.

Friends, drive me crazy looking for coupons, sales.

I recently told my son's girlfriend that a company she was wanting to invest in was a scam.  I had researched it.  And she got aggravated with ME!

They all want that pie in the sky.

I tried a device like that as I hate taping off areas so I can paint. The problem is that paint gets on the device and gets all over the baseboards and other areas.IT MAKES MORE WORK for you cleaning off the device and baseboards.Much like get rich schemes there is no short cut for taping off areas that I know of.

THE TRUE MARK OF SOCIOPATHS

Quote From: sherry_42

i wanted too let people know the money scaming isnt only on email. iam on yahoo and i get asked from people the same thing cashing checks and send them the rest..  watch out they talk too you and want too be friends for a while then they ask......sherry_4244041

That's how the Sociopath works in my opinion. They get beyond your boundries and find your needs and desires. If your GEEDY they promise to make you rich with "easy money".If you desperately want  LOVE or ATTENTION becuase you are lonely they promise you friendship. They have {NO GUILT} hence the term "Sociopath".Read books on these people and you will spot the Sociopathic patterns of these sicko's and be able to spot them in your family, neighborhood ,career or on the web.

07/03 Get Rich Quick Disasters

Dave seems like a nice guy, but his ex-girlfriend should definitely NOT marry him. I really hope she just moves on with her life because his lifestyle and daydreaming ways are going to keep him broke and nomadic for the rest of his life. He might get a real job at some point, but I think his dream of easy money is going to keep drawing him back in.

But of course, if he ever does strike it rich she'll wish she'd have stuck around...

get rich quick disasters- core exerciser

The guy that had the invention that holds your body upright so that you are working your core and abs; that looks lik something that I would want to buy because I have a disability and I use a wheelchair. I am always looking for something that I can do to loose weight and work out with. That is something that I would 9 out of 10 go buy. It just seems like a good idea. I was using a noodle that children use to float in a pool with until it slipped from my hand and broke one of my collector pieces. So this looks like its a controlled item and something that I can do while sitting on the floor or maybe in my wheelchair.

Good job! I hope he sells a lot of them I will be looking for the product in a store near me in south florida.

Inventers Helpers / NOT

My story.  I had an idea for a consumer product.  A friend forwarded an email he received from an online company that supposedly gets an inventors products licensed and brought to market.
I sent them (via online form at their website) my idea.  They charged me $690 and I fell for it at first.
What I received from them was a notebook with mostly pre produced material (which is like advertisements for their company) and some patents on this type of product.
One of these patents was "exactly" what I conceived and sent to this company.  The rep that I was talking to on the phone told me that all we had to do is to change the product by 10 pct and it would be patentable.
I don't know of any way to change the product.  I told him it would be patent infringement, but he tried to convince me that it wasn't.  I eventually told him I wanted to drop the idea because he told me I would have to send them more of my money.  After I originally applied, I did a search online and found the company had been sued by the FTC for non disclosure and other reasons.  I didn't get $690 worth of work done by them and feel cheated.  It looks like their patent search was done online via Google.   I also got a letter from them saying, since I don't want to procede, their commitment to the project would be null and void.  It also said that if someone else submitted the same idea, they were free to act on it.
I did another search about the company and their are many complaints about them on ripoffreport.com.
There are other companies that do the same thing and I advise you to do the research on them before you send them anything.
