(Original Air Date: 01/31/08) You’ve heard the phrase, “I’m mad as hell, and I’m not going to take it anymore!” Dr. Phil’s guests say to achieve justice they were forced to take matters into their own hands. Dr. William Moody says his constitutional rights were violated when he was physically and verbally attacked while arguing with a man about moving his car. But the dentist wasn’t on his best behavior either. You won’t believe what’s on this tape – but does it tell the whole story? What does Dr. Phil think? Then, 75-year-old Mona made national news when she walked into the office of her local cable company with a hammer and smashed up their equipment! She says they were rude and gave her inadequate service, and she doesn’t regret her actions. Was the grandmother justified in taking on big business with a weapon? Plus, meet a man who shot video of himself pulling over an erratic driver whom he thought was under the influence. Should you perform a citizen’s arrest if you encounter a drunk driver on the road? Hear what the experts have to say and join the discussion.

Find out what happened on the show.

Awesome

What if the stories were changed and Dr. Moody was the one who banged up the phone company with a hammer.  How many T shirts do you think they would sell?

You are indeed a very smart woman. This was my very thought.

They would sell no T shirts. They would charge Dr. Moody with attempted Murder, saying his intent was to kill a Comcast employee, but missed and hit the desk. This s provded the police did not come in nd killing him, sayin he ad a deadly weapon and they feared for their lives.

On the other hand, if the 76 year old lady had been in Dr. Mood's place, this would have been the story:

She still gets her T shirts. 76 year old white lady tired of illegal aliens coming into the country and breaking the law, was fed up and took action She got out of her car and attempted to move the idiot illegal alien's car, when for no reason he started hitting her. Camera crew yells at the illegal alien. His sister rushes downstairs and pushes the old lady, who pushes back and the illegal alien woman trips accidentally to the ground. The illegal alien brother, without reason, runs up to the little old lady and punches her. The police handcuff both illegal aliens and they get deported.

The audience applauds the old lady, who is broadcast as a hero, with no fine or jail time. She sells millions of vigilante T shirts.

However, I saw no one in the right, in any of these situations. Except Comcast, who has the right to be sued, not receive a terrorist attack.

Thank You Hammer Lady

Thank You! Just this morning I had a problem with our cable company.  I didn't know they gave idiots a job without a common sense education!

All I had to say was "I'll be back with my Hammer", they knew exactly what I was talking about and they got their S * * * together.

I may have to use a hammer for more then the cable company. Its a good way to get a husband to listen to you!!! LOL!

I Disagree

This is another case where the negro community YELLS that we are wrong.

It was quite clear in the video that the Dentist was VERY wrong. If I were in the same situation I think that if I was as small as the man in the car and had a BAT WITH ME,  I WOULD HAVE BEAT SOME SENSE INTO HIS HEAD.

If I had a lawer as stupid as the doctors I think I would just give up.

I'm white and I take offense to how this was worded. Not once did I hear him pull the black card. In this case, it is obvious that the man is an idiot! It just so happens that this man is black. We have plenty of white guys that are just as arrogant.   All though, I do agree that guys like Al Shapiro constantly bring out the black card and I see him bring out the worst in ALL colors of people. This fixes NOTHING in today's world! But that again is ONE arrogant man. We can't judge all blacks, by certain blacks actions. I sure don't want to be judged by the evil actions of the white society. I just feel that looking at this in the "black" aspect is wrong.

He snapped..haven't we all?

It seems to me that this ONE man blocking this driveway this ONE time is NOT what pushed the dentist to respond the way he did.  I believe the dentist has had that same scenario happen in that driveway time and time again and he finally snapped, this is just a different rendition of road rage and just as unacceptable.  Most of us can only take the same crap so many times before you get so angry you take it out on someone that didn't deserve it. This Dentist clearly over-reacted to the situation and should suck it up and take his punishment. As far as the woman is concerned, she shouldn't have gotten involved, neither of them should have laid a hand on each other.  The Lawyer... well.. he is the poster child for Lawyer jokes!!!

I know an idiot, who is on 3 years probation for making a similar terrorist threat against a cable company. I guess it is just a good a way to get a wife to listen to you!!!! LOL.

Why isn't that old lady charged with assault with a deadly weapon. In the world of losing control, this old lady lost it and is worse than the old people who are driving into crowds of people killing them.

What a MANIAC!!

This guy is an IDIOT!!  I could not believe him as I watched the show!  Its "all about him"--We must have been viewing 2 separate films, because the one I saw showed him acting like a wild animal, yanking the guy out of his car and GETTING IN IT, plus strutting around like he was "somebody" and then pushing the girl to the street and lastly attacking the camera guy!!  And then him and his IGNORANT lawyer saying how HE was attacked, etc--BULLCRAP!  HE is the aggressor!!  And I loved how he just HAD to play that race card!!  He just couldn't do without that little tidbit--WHAT A LOSER!  This guy should have his license suspended and be brought up on charges before the ADA as well!  OH, and Dr. Phil should be ashamed sucking up to him as much as he was doing--usually he is fussing @ folks who have been stupid like this fool--but for some reason, he felt like he needed to pamper him--Phil needs a reality check.....I can assure you that Mr. Dentist better be glad he didn't get his head blown off by yanking someone out of their car & then gettting into it--he should serve time for this.....

Not everyone can afford cellphones and not everyone sees the need to have every latest gadget that comes onto the market.
I wasn't talking about everyone. I was talking about Mona. Who obviously can afford a cable package including TV, telephone and high speed internet. Since she can afford that, she can also afford a cell phone. Some of which are under $20. And, don't require a one, or two, year commitment. She could buy her minutes. And, just use them as needed. Especially in an emergency. I find it rather foolish of her to leave the house, with no way of calling for help, when she's already had a heart attack.

I agree.  Why should she have to have a cell phone.
Because it could save her life, if she's out on the road, having another heart attack!

I totally agree here. I don't have a cellphone either and don't want one either.  that what i pay my phone bill and it is hooked up to an answering machine, so if no one doesn't want to leave a message then it is there fault, not mine.  At least I can feel safe on the raod as i am not talking chatting up a storm or text messaging someone that could have waited.  Driving a car you are suppose to be paying attention to the road and other drivers so you don't get into an accident.
But, how safe would you feel, on the road, if you get stranded, with no way of phoning for help? Not everyone carries a cell phone so they can chat and drive. Some have them for emergency use only.
