(Original Air Date: 01/31/08) You’ve heard the phrase, “I’m mad as hell, and I’m not going to take it anymore!” Dr. Phil’s guests say to achieve justice they were forced to take matters into their own hands. Dr. William Moody says his constitutional rights were violated when he was physically and verbally attacked while arguing with a man about moving his car. But the dentist wasn’t on his best behavior either. You won’t believe what’s on this tape – but does it tell the whole story? What does Dr. Phil think? Then, 75-year-old Mona made national news when she walked into the office of her local cable company with a hammer and smashed up their equipment! She says they were rude and gave her inadequate service, and she doesn’t regret her actions. Was the grandmother justified in taking on big business with a weapon? Plus, meet a man who shot video of himself pulling over an erratic driver whom he thought was under the influence. Should you perform a citizen’s arrest if you encounter a drunk driver on the road? Hear what the experts have to say and join the discussion.

Find out what happened on the show.

Quote From: sammie

This guy is an IDIOT!!  I could not believe him as I watched the show!  Its "all about him"--We must have been viewing 2 separate films, because the one I saw showed him acting like a wild animal, yanking the guy out of his car and GETTING IN IT, plus strutting around like he was "somebody" and then pushing the girl to the street and lastly attacking the camera guy!!  And then him and his IGNORANT lawyer saying how HE was attacked, etc--BULLCRAP!  HE is the aggressor!!  And I loved how he just HAD to play that race card!!  He just couldn't do without that little tidbit--WHAT A LOSER!  This guy should have his license suspended and be brought up on charges before the ADA as well!  OH, and Dr. Phil should be ashamed sucking up to him as much as he was doing--usually he is fussing @ folks who have been stupid like this fool--but for some reason, he felt like he needed to pamper him--Phil needs a reality check.....I can assure you that Mr. Dentist better be glad he didn't get his head blown off by yanking someone out of their car & then gettting into it--he should serve time for this.....
I totally agree with you about the "Doc" but when it comes to Dr. Phil I think you are wrong.  True he handled him with kid gloves but if you really watched and listened closely you could see he was using alot of finesse not to let on that he was disgusted with his actions.  I truly don't think Dr. Phil bought it.  He tried to tap dance around the guy so he doesn't get sued by his shyster lawyer.

I cannot believe you are defendng the way Dr. Phil handled this guy ..(Dr. Phil put him in his place with such a kind and gentle tone in his voice) 'Are you kidding me?' Dr. Phil, in my opinion, did a crappy job of handling him at all. Like a few others have said o this board, it was almost like Dr. Phil didn't want to get the%&* angry at all. I have seen Dr. Phil really tell people what he thinks, but he really missed the boat on this one. I was very disappointed in Phil the way he handled this. The fact is, Dr. Phil did nothing to let this creep know how wrong he was in his actions.
Do you think doctor Phil wants loud mouth shrpton on his back.  Blah Blah Blah Blah  It's not worth it, that guy didn't need dr. Phil to look like an &%$  we all have eyes and ears.

To the rest that say I would pepper spray, tazer, or just fight that is why you see this mess. The truth is you would do nothing of the sort you would be to scared. The fact is this (look at the video) the Dr. should have never got out of his car. The Dr. should have never assaulted the T.V. camera (he did not assault the camera man) However; the man in the parked car hit the Dr. first and in the head twice. (this is on the video) The woman came from the right side of the car and confronted the Dr. not the other way around. The woman then touched the Dr. and I am sorry folks the Dr. pushed her I did not see him hit her. The man (brother) then came up from behind the Dr. and hit him in the head one more time! As I have stated already they all took a bite from the poison apple. It is called domestic violence and they all should have been arrested!!!!! 2007 was the year and domestic violence are the words and the words will end you up in jail. Dr. Phil why was the woman not arrested or is it that domestic violence only works one way?     Did anyone else notice the police car on the left side of the frame waiting for I guess the light to change?

Again I don't know what video you saw, but that guy did not hit first!  The doctor pushed that poor guy twice before the guy laid hands on him.   That doctor was just lucky it wasn't someone like my husband b/c if someone would have attempted to push or get in our car it would have been lights out for that idiot!

I don't know what video you saw, but that is not at all how it happened!  That supposed Dr. went over to the guy in the car and shoved him twice.  The guy never put his hands on him until that scrub pushed his sister.  Watch again cause I kept rewinding it over and over.  That guy never punched him but once.  You might need glasses.  Are you going to say he spat at him to, like those two losers that sat up there yesturday spurting nothing but lie after lie after lie.  It clearly made me sick to my stomach.
What show where you watching?   You need a big screen TV and a good pair of glasses.  I have played and replayed that tape 20 times and the outcome is the same. The "Doc" struck first.  The video doesn't lie.  No matter how you or the "Doc" put a spin on it he is still in the wrong. I dosn't matter Black, white, yellow, blue or even polka dotted that is not the issue here.  The issue is acting and maintaining yourself as a professional adult, not a street hoodlum.  He is an embarassment to his profession and his family.  I can't even imagine how he treats them.  He definatly has an anger managment problem with an underlying problem of a bad layer.

a new all time low

i can't believe that you wasted air time on dr. moody. what an arrogant man he is. he was so overly aggressive to everyone on that video clip. i could hardly believe his actions-pulling the driver out of his own car, knocking that poor woman down ( no self respecting man would lay a hand on a woman)and the lies!! claiming to have been spit on and put into a neck hold by the police. he didn't even know his right from his left! i was surprised that he didn't play "the black card". what an idiot he is. i hope he got charged with assault and that people living in that area saw his "act" on tv and that he lost business when people saw his true colors. what a huge moron. get better subject matter next time,dr phil!

I heard on the cbs news last night that Dr Moody was in trouble again. I did not get opportunity to find out the details. Did any of you hear about this?
I checked into it. He got arrested for violating a protective order the passenger had  gotten against him. Supposedly to ask her when Dr Phil was on. How lame is that? I thought that was what TV Guide was for.

There are plenty of folks, had he messed with them, who would've  left him in dire need of emergency dental care!

Was it just me, or did the guy that pulled over the drunk driver come across as a bit arrogant?  He seemed to me like he was saying that anyone who didn't do what he did is somehow morally inferior.  I'm sorry, but I refuse to risk my life and the lives of OTHER PEOPLE by causing an accident.

I would have called the cops about it with the info.  Just because I wouldn't do it the stupid way doesn't mean I wouldn't have helped people- the guy is DRUNK and you don't know if he has a GUN., knife, or wouldn't lunge at you.  If I had to enclose this guy, I'd want the cops to tell me the safest way to stop him before I go jump in.

What he did WAS a good thing, but I got a real egoistic vibe off of him.  No doubt people told him what a hero he was, blah, blah, blah- and it went straight to his head.  It seemed to me that he was doing it to be a hero or to feel physically superior, NOT necessarily to help people- it was something about what he said.

"Youre going down, that's how I roll", and "I needed to let him know that I was physically superior [... that you're going to bow down to this".  At least he put his machismo to good use.

Matt is a reckless driver himself. How did he even know there was a drunk driver in front of all that slow traffic? Because he came up behind the traffic and, admittedly being in a hurry, wove his way to the front, that's how. Not even knowing there was a drunk driver up ahead. Matt was no hero. Just an impatient driver. They cause wrecks, too.

Dr Phil gives us credit --

Quote From: tinydynomite

I'm shocked that Dr. Phil has not called this guy out for his blatant lies and comlete false elaborations regarding the "attack". This man is completely delusional and obviously has extreme anger issues. Why is Phil pandering to this man. He is a liar, plain and simple.
Dr Phil gives most of us credit for having a few brain cells to use. He didn't need to "call the guy out" and throw his lies back in his face, we can see it for ourselves. In addition, Dr Phil has to be mindful of what the guy can discuss while a case is pending and with his attorney present.

It's obvious that he, the dentist, is self centered, arrogant, and believes the world owes him. If I were on the jury and having seen the video (and aware of what might not be seen to happen because of camera angles) I still don't believe I could accept a word out of his mouth. I don't doubt that what he says is the way he remembers the incident, but the video shows such a completely different story as to give more than reasonable doubt to his interpretation. I hope we will hear the result of the case, but unless the video is barred for some legal reason or the jury really sees the woman's weak push as the first assault, I really don't see it going his way.

Give Me A Break

You know this is insane.  This Doctor has done nothing but lie.  If you watch the video that was recorded of him, one she didn't just fall down by touching his hand, he pushed her down and I would have never gotten out of the car for some idiot to try to get in my car.  It sad that this world is coming to this where some "DR" feels justified into taking matters into his own hands instead of just going around the block a time or two to pull into the parking lot or asking nicely, can you please move up so that I can get in.  Dr. Moody is such a lier.  He was not attacked.  He attacked first.  He is a very aggresive person and has alot of anger issues.  He is so lying about being afraid of being hurt.  He was hardly pushed at all.  He is nothing but a lier.
