Topic : 07/16 Bully Husband

Rick just used poor English while talking about how much smarter he is than his wife.  Pretty funny, if this whole problem weren't so sad.

Yoohoo Rick,  you need to lose weight, and I suspect that it is easier to focus on your wife and you are projecting your faults onto her.  Get some therapy, or leave and pay child support, BECAUSE no one should have to put up with the likes of you.

Rick obviously has many problems, and he is either too dumb to realize that, or he really is mildly insane.

Karen - my first instinct is to tell you not to walk, but RUN away from Rick - AS FAST AS YOU CAN!!  Then, reason sets in & I say "Kick him OUT as fast as you can!"  I was married to a control freak & it only gets WORSE!  No wonder you're overweight - this is most likely stress related.  Don't stay with him "for the children's sake" - he is the worst example they could have in their lives!!!  Do you want your son to grow up to be a control freak/controller?  Do you want  your daughter to marry a man like him?  Stats show most girls marry men like their Dads.  Think about it.

KICK HIM OUT!!!  Begin to like yourself again, then LOVE yourself!  You don't need him, he just wants you to think you are dependent upon him.  You & your children will be MUCH happier without him.  Yes, there will be a adjustment phase, but then you will amaze yourself if you work on it.

I will not say "how could  she stay" been there done that, I stayed for 8 years and I was not crazy or stupid but loyal to a promise I made to God. Once being in the same shoes she is in, I lost the weight, did things he wanted even if they were not comfortable for me just to please him and nothing worked.  If  you ask me he probably is unabe to be intimate with his wife or the other woman because his excess weight has made him lacking in that area.  Dr. Phil as much as I believe in your abilities, I think he's hopeless and she and her children will be better without him.

I've read some of the posts and it's so easy for some of you to judge someone else's life isn't it? She obviously does have issues with her husband but it will happen when she's ready, she's obviously been mistreated for so long now and the fact that she does have children all play a factor in why women do not leave, she is clearly not strong enough yet and needs an awful lot of will power and support, I know as I was there too once. You tell yourself they will change and try whatever to please them....but it's them and not you, but she will have to see that for herself and hopefully being on the show will give her the motivation to leave if he's not willling to change and shame on you Rick for even thinking any of this is right, your not so skinny yourself there pal, you wouldn't last 2 days in my home with that BULLY attitude, she's better than you, she just doesn't realize it yet, you should have left her long ago if you felt this way about her and trust me doing what your doing to her to so call "motivate" her into losing weight doesn't work!

I found a wonderful man and I could never imagine him treating me in such a poor way and disrespecting me and our marriage the way you do Rick! Let her go or change yourself!!!!
