I am a native indian and cleanliness is always been something important. My mother taught me to always wash my hands, take paper in a public bathroom to put on the toilet and wash my hands and take a paper towel to open the door.
I always had lysol in my bagage and at home. I was a entertainer so I kept Lysol with me all the time and sprayed the sheets, the dressers, the toilet, the bath, the sinks, well everything I could spray because I was taught that where there is public there is germs.
So I started laughing when I saw on your show, Lysol . I always carry hand disenfection in my purse. I always carry a small can of Lysol and spray the toilets when I go in public. Even at home.
I also take oil of oregano with olive oil every morning..it kills any bacteria and even the super bug. Yep, that is right..it kills the super bug. since I have been doing that I have not had a flu since 3 years and as soon as I have a hint of a sore throat, I take more and it's gone.
I disenfect all over in my house. People used to laugh at me and my cleanliness and my Lysol..well, am sure if they watched your show, they no longer laughing now.
Any meat I buy I marinate with lime juice to kill any bacteria that may be on the meat. I don't travel without my Lysol, my oil of oregano and Mother Apple Cider to soak vegetables and even on the meat to kill whatever that may be left even if I washed well..and I never drink water without putting a teaspoon of Mother Apple Cider if I am travelling..so no tourista and danger of getting a dangerous bacteria in my body.
I even rinse my floors with vinegar which is excellent to kill bacteria and safe for animals. Sometimes I use pure lemon juice in the water to rinse my floors.
I even buy a spray to kill any bacteria before I cut my food and which is not dangerous to our health.
Everyday I pour some peroxide in the toilet and wipe the toilet with peroxide too. I was always told that I took too much precaution but your show today proved me right.
My motto is..Trust Me I'm Always Right lolll and 99.9 % of the time a show like yours or on the news prove me right.
Example: I always had my passport up to date and in my purse and I would tell people that one day to cross to the US we would need our passport..and sure enough we do now. I haven't been travelling so I didn't renew it this year but I will because it is also the best ID that you can give when you need one.
Example: People always said to me when I was in my twenties..Why you keep your headlights on in bright daylight all the time? I said, *I noticed that the buses always had their headlights on and I figured that it was for safety for we can see them better, so I asked a driver and sure enough that was the reason, so I always left my lights on in the daytime and told everyone..one day it will be automatically lit in cars as it is a safety matter..and yep..years later..lights automatically go on in cars..
I am a logical thinker, so if I see something that isn't the norme, I wonder why and ask, then I apply it to myself.
So what my mother taught me to always wash my hands even after shaking hands with someone and always try not to shake hands if there is the flu going around and of course take her potion to keep me safer while all others are sick.
I am so in the habit of doing it since a kid that it's second nature to me and automatically by Lysol and antibacterial gel to carry in my purse. It happens sometimes you can't wash your hands for one reason or another, so out I whip my antibacterial gel.
If I can get my hands on paper seat couvers..I have that also in my purse, or else I wash the toilet seat with soap and spray the toilet seat with Lysol and then put toilet paper on it. Better be safe than sorry..I also lift the cover and spray it and inside the bowl. A little squirt on the faucets is a good thing too and the door knob.
I am not shy to tell people who go to the public facilities and not wash their hands what they think they are doing!| I shame them into washing their hands. If I see an employee in a toilet and not wash their hands, I go right to the manager and tell him..you employee hasn't washed her or his hands after using the toilet, so I am not coming in here to eat anymore. Trust me..it gets told.
I always taught my kids to wash the bathtub once they were finished in respect for each other as it is important that the tub is clean.
I have been also turning off electricity to save. Friends laughed at me because they said it wouldn't show any difference in the city..I said, you will see it will happen . I unplug everything in my house I don,t use often, the toaster, washer, dryer, lights. I have been saving electricity all my life..taught by my mother who always said we must treat all things with respect and not abuse it.
I'm so happy..that I am right .. and who knows what else in the future I am doing..will show me am right. lolllllll
