Don’t miss Dr. Phil’s exclusive interview with Brianna Denison's mother who is speaking out for the first time since her daughter's body was found. Nineteen-year-old Brianna made headlines when she was kidnapped while she slept on a friend's couch. Brianna's killer – an alleged serial rapist -- is still on the loose in Reno, NV. And, a controversial issue is heating up the headlines: Where should registered sex offenders live when they’re released from prison? Residents of Long Beach, California say not in their neighborhood. They’re outraged that an apartment building is allegedly housing 13 registered sex offenders, and the building owner is reportedly receiving $1,000 per month to house them. Former tenants, James and Getania, were disgusted to learn that the sex offenders were living in their building, and local residents weren’t happy either. Dawna owns several properties near the apartment complex. She says she’s losing tenants and the sex offenders are stalking others. Then, Jake Goldenflame, a registered sex offender who was convicted of molesting his daughter and young boys over 25 years ago, says he's still attracted to teenage boys, but says people like him have no resources and need to live somewhere. What does Dr. Phil think? Should the sex offenders be forced to leave the community, or should their neighbors just learn to live with them? If it's happening now, Dr. Phil is going to deal with it now! Join the discussion.

First off, I know that rainpainrain is FULLY capable of speaking for herself, because I have been on these boards for a while. Second, let me assure you, also from being on these boards for a while, YES, SHE KNOWS. SHE ABSOLUTELY KNOWS! So, rest assured , she WILL keep her child safe. (Sorry, Penny, I had to say something, I DO know you can speak for yourself. Forgive me.)
Hon, you say what you want when you want! More power to you!

Thanks

Thank you Dr. Phil for today's show--I was completely shocked and angered to learn that our government is subsidizing sex offenders living accomodations!  I think that this is completely outrageous.  I think our society needs to wake up to the cancer of the presence of sex offenders being loose in our neighborhoods.  Thank goodness for personalities like you exposing the cancer that exists in our society.  It is nauseating to think about all the lives that have been snuffed out/ruined by these animals being allowed more freedoms than their poor victims ever had.

sex offenders

my husband made a mistake 20 yrs ago by having sex with an under age girl and it will be with him for the rest of his life. he is deemed a sex offender. i feel that the term sex offender and predator need to be explained  more to those who don't deal with this every day. i am looked at funny and have been talked about because of my husbands past and it was a one time mistake. we live in florida and they recently passed an ordinance that sex offenders cannot live in the city limits, apartments, mobile home parks, near schools , etc. now they are putting codes on driver licenses and no one will hire im because of his background. how and where are these people supposed to live and support families? is the government willing to take care of them since they are the ones making it dificlt for some to survive. i feel each case should be loked at individually and provisions made accordingly.

i get the importance of wanting to keep our children safe, but some people abuse the list that the states give, not everybody on the sex offenders list is evil, you can get on there for flashing a body part, or even peeing in public even in a ally way, i heard of a case in the states were people found a sexual offender in their nieghborhood and the posted pictures of him and his crimes everywhere, he showed himself to a 10 year old girl (which is normally very EVIL), but the man who did it had the mentality of a 9 year old boy, he was doing a little kid habit to show thier parts, people tormented him until he killed himself. by no means am i excussing what he did, he should have been watch better to avoid this type of situation, but a person with the mentallity of a nine year old does not know it is wrong, and to torment himhim till he committed suicide is EVIL
So, yeah, let's just give up the whole idea because of one story. (That I have no proof of AND there is probably MORE to it. There ALWAYS is.)

Have you ever been molested or sexually assaulted? It can **** you up in many many ways.

STAY OUT OF OHIO

Ohio is making it harder on the sex offender to hide, Ohio is making it easier for use to protect our kids all sex offenders when they get out of prison, will not only get sex offeder on their license but they get to put a bright new license plate for their car.  on any car they drive, must have them.

Ohio has done with people who have DUIs their plate is green, so the police can watch out for them

now this new plate for sex offenders will help the police  to find sex offenders, so if their parked at or by schools, or city parks, they can send them back to jail,

Thank you Ohio for putting kids first.

sex offenders

its always the girls falt to mamma's boy, the girl is the one lying, herbaby boy is the victim, her baby boy won't lie, he didn't know she was 12 or 13 or 14 or15,  if the mother would took them from her breast a long time ago, my be they would of became  men and not a man child and  blaming and pointing their finger, and saying mommy i didn't do it its not my falt.
it is so easy for a girl to say he tuched me or raped me and everyone automaticaly asumes it's true. kids nowadays have not learned the consequences of these type lies and how much havoc it causes, they just know if they say it , the pressure tey have stops and its all about them and someone tey are mad at gets in trouble. my step daughter has done this many times to my husband and he has suffered when thet were never alone or together on the day she said it happened.

I use familywatchdog.us. It is the same one posted at the beginning of these boards. It doesn't cost anything to log on to that site.
I think I tried that one but couldn't get it to come up, I'll try it again.

offenders in my area

I was shocked and appalled when I went to the Megan's Law website and saw just how many offenders are in my neighborhood. I live about a half of a mile from an elementary school and about a mile from a high school!

I am glad that I watched todays show to educate myself on this issue in my area.

THANKS [again] to the Dr. Phil show--just love it!!!!

I did get it to come up with a map and descriptions, but no photos.  I really need to see pics.
