Don’t miss Dr. Phil’s exclusive interview with Brianna Denison's mother who is speaking out for the first time since her daughter's body was found. Nineteen-year-old Brianna made headlines when she was kidnapped while she slept on a friend's couch. Brianna's killer – an alleged serial rapist -- is still on the loose in Reno, NV. And, a controversial issue is heating up the headlines: Where should registered sex offenders live when they’re released from prison? Residents of Long Beach, California say not in their neighborhood. They’re outraged that an apartment building is allegedly housing 13 registered sex offenders, and the building owner is reportedly receiving $1,000 per month to house them. Former tenants, James and Getania, were disgusted to learn that the sex offenders were living in their building, and local residents weren’t happy either. Dawna owns several properties near the apartment complex. She says she’s losing tenants and the sex offenders are stalking others. Then, Jake Goldenflame, a registered sex offender who was convicted of molesting his daughter and young boys over 25 years ago, says he's still attracted to teenage boys, but says people like him have no resources and need to live somewhere. What does Dr. Phil think? Should the sex offenders be forced to leave the community, or should their neighbors just learn to live with them? If it's happening now, Dr. Phil is going to deal with it now! Join the discussion.

Sex offender registry...

It's very scary to know how many sex offenders live next to you!  There are about 170 in the 10 mile radius from where I live (I need to move).  There's about 20 that live half a mile away!  It's a shocking reality check, thats for sure.

You can find out the # of sex offenders that live in your area, their names, addresses and pictures from the the family watchdog site:

What to do when the jails are so overcrowded that these sociopaths are free?

Kyla is a cash cow

Watching the show and seeing the pictures of Kyla doesn't tell us how she acts in public (or airlines).  I've seen many dressed the same, some look  appropriately stylish and others trampish by their actions.

Seeing the lawyer told me she is out only for fame and riches.  Seeing her mom's clothing tells me the whole family was raised with the "sex sells" mentality.  Kyla made a choice to be on shows.  Yet she claims to be suing because her reputation is being damaged.  Sorry, the act they did was not what caused damages to your reputation but the going onto shows definately did.  I think Kyla needs to sue all the shows she was on for making her look selfish, money hungry, and trampish.

I work for a prison and I'm here to tell you that locking up these offenders does not take away their drive as predators once released.  Another problem is that most Americans are under the impression that sex offenders "have" to register when released from incarceration.  They are TOLD to register but many do not.  It's going to have to be up to each individual to know their surroundings, know their neighborhoods and keep themselves safe.

Where Shall They Live?

This is a topic that has come up more than once between my circle of friends. We have talked it and taked it to death many times. There is no good answer.

Firstly, these people have to live somewhere. Our laws do not allow them to be taken out of society permanantly. Truthfully, I find the idea of them living all in the same building, isn't a bad idea.

My big problem with the sex offenders registery is that today someone can be labled a sex offender for getting drunk and taking a whizz on the side of the road. There are many people out there that have been forced to register for petty stupid little things that shouldn't be listed as a sex crime. Forcing someone to register as a sex offender should be saved for those who truly are sex offenders. And I hate to say it, but if this country is gonna place a scarlet letter on these people's chest and basicly prevent them from being able to work and live anywhere, then the bovernment should figure out a way to house and feed these people. You can't make a group of people pariahs and not see to their well being. }

Sex Offenders

Pedophiles cannot be 'rehabilitated'. Where should they live? Well, there's a lot of desert in California and Arizona!

Lock them up and throw away the key, just like a murderer !!

I do not have alot of Mercy in this area. I believe once you have sexually offended someone you have murdered their spirit , their wholeness and their chance at total wellbeing someday.
I do not believe a molester, sex offender etc.. , should ever be out of jail. I believe murderers should not either. To me the crimes are the same.  Even though someone that has been molested is still alive physically, the death on the inside of them is so bad.  Most never get over it.  So if I had my way, they would all get the death penalty and not sit on death row forever, but get it over with quickly. They are NOT human in my sight. Even if they were offended before, how in the world can they use that as an excuse to go on and mess others up?  If they have no control, or no remorse over what happened to them , to make them not be like their offender , then they need to be put away. If we could get them out of society, we could eventually end or lessen these crimes. But the law insist on treating these people like humans. Make an area in the USA far away from normal decent people, and make them all go live there. That way they can just use and abuse their own kind.  Like I said I just have no Mercy for people like this. It'd probably be best if they used a firing squad on them, Like in other countries to some who break the laws . Our laws though are on the criminals side here in America. That is why the crime rates are getting worse everywhere. There is No Justice for decent people. Only for criminals.  Things need to be turned around. Build more prisons etc.. Right now as I am typing on the news they are talking about 2 murders of two different college students, One female in Auburn Ala. from Ga. and another  female in a state I missed.  I think maybe she was from Ga. also.  Its just so sad for these families etc..  If justice was on the victims side , we'd see less of this kind of stuff.  I usually have alot of Mercy. But I am sorry in this area, I just can't find it.  I know too many victims of this kind of crime  !!  I've witnessed the permanent damage this seems to do !!

Perfect solution for Sex offenders:

A deserted island in the middle of shark infested waters.  Starve, drown or get eaten by sharks.  Way more humane than their victims options!

Zero tolerance people.........ZERO!   The island or lethal injection.  I prefer the island so they can suffer until their last dying breath.  They should know how their poor victims felt.  Helpless, hopeless and terrified.

Alcatraz Island they should be!

Put them all on Alcatraz Island  with a shark tank in ocean like SeaWorld barbed wire extending 2 miles out surrounding the Island and let them have at it. The laws are in need of a overhaul. They get out in 2 years or less.  DO FOOD DROPS ! ! ! !  MILITARY STYLE ! ! ! PERKS THEY ARE ALL SEX OFFENDERS, LET THEM OFFEND EACH OTHER. ! ! !

Just one more glimpse into the obsessive mind. One more reminder of the unremorseful and degenerate personality. Another moment to reflect and truly understand what our children are up against and just how wide spread it is.

The New York Times
International Child Porn Ring Uncovered

WASHINGTON (AP) -- After James Freeman was vetted and approved for membership in what police describe as a highly sophisticated child porn network, he expressed his appreciation by posting two folders online: one labeled ''mild,'' the other ''wild.''

''All I can say is that they are worth the download,'' wrote Freeman, 47, known in the global porn ring as ''Mystikal,'' according to court documents. ''My thanks to you and all the others that together make this the greatest group of pedos ever to gather in one place.''

Freeman, of Santa Rosa Beach, Fla., was one of 12 Americans indicted last week in a worldwide investigation that ultimately charged 22 people with participating in the porn ring -- and intentionally blocking police from investigating it.

In all, more than 400,000 pictures, video files and other images showing children engaged in sexual behavior were produced, advertised, traded and distributed globally in the online pornography ring, according to U.S. and international authorities. The sting, which started in Australia, also netted accused pornographers in England, Canada and Germany.

Some victims were as young as five years old. Others were preyed upon for innocent characteristics such as wearing their hair in pigtails.

Authorities won't say how they eventually broke through several layers of encryption, background checks and other security measures the pornographers used to protect their online user group from being accessed. The porn ring was run like a business, FBI executive assistant director J. Stephen Tidwell said Tuesday, with the lewd images used as currency instead of cash.

''This is beyond a quantum exponential leap for us to see folks that have gone to this much trouble to produce this kind of volume of horrific exploitation of children,'' Tidwell said in an interview.

So far, authorities have identified and rescued 20 of the children who were exploited, he said, adding: ''But with 400,000 (images) we're going to be at this for years, trying to find the victims.''

Australian investigators first discovered the ring and infiltrated it undercover in January 2006, said Ross Barnett, detective chief superintendent with the Queensland Police Service. Those who gained access to the online forum could only after passing a series of what Tidwell called ''various benchmarks and bars to get over to get into their group.''

''From our perspective, it's definitely the largest and most sophisticated and disciplined group that we have ever seen operating in this environment,'' Barnett said.

A 35-count indictment unsealed Friday in U.S. District Court in Pensacola, Fla., details conversations among the 12 men accused of trading and advertising the pornography. Two other Americans were also arrested in connection with the ring but not included in the indictment.

The men were charged in 11 states: California, Connecticut, Florida, Idaho, Indiana, North Carolina, Oregon, Pennsylvania, Texas, Virginia and Washington. They all used aliases, such as ''Box of Rocks,'' ''Crazy Horse,'' ''Lizzard'' and ''Pickleman.''

In one example cited in the indictment, 54-year-old Raymond Roy of San Juan Capistrano, Calif., posted videos of Thai children ''to give everyone something to do for an afternoon.''

''This one may offend here, so a word of caution, these girls are heavily drugged,'' Roy, known as ''Nimo,'' wrote on July 10, 2007, according to the court documents. ''Not much action to speak of, the girls are (sic) to (expletive deleted) up to move, or resist. Three girls, the first one being the youngest, around 8 or 9 yo.''

''Yo'' stands for ''years old.''

The 12 men were charged with engaging in a child exploitation enterprise; illegally posting notices seeking to receive, exchange and distribute child porn across state lines; and obstructing of justice. Several also were charged with producing the pornography -- meaning they had contact with the children who were exploited, Tidwell said.

The investigation, which is continuing, is the latest product of the FBI's ''Innocent Images'' task force that stemmed from a 1993 child pornography case. The task force has arrested more than 9,400 suspects since 2004 and is made up of international investigators working in the United States from an FBI command center in suburban Maryland.

Noting the sophisticated process the porn ring used to bar police, Tidwell compared the growing number of child pornography crimes to that of cocaine dealers, terrorists and the Mafia.

''If they had good operational security, that's a bad thing for us,'' Tidwell said. ''When you've got that, you've got a real challenge for law enforcement.''

03/07 Dr. Phil Now: Disturbing Headlines

Jake Goldenflame is wnining because he's got no resources and has to live somewhere. He should've thought about that before he acted on his perverted impulses. No one has to act on their impulses.
