What are the policies of Homeland Security? The Department of Homeland Security exists for the sole purpose of protecting America and Americans abroad from domestic and foreign terrorism. Homeland Security's objective is to reduce the threat of terrorism as well as to swiftly respond in the event of another terrorist attack upon U.S. soil. Any kind of terrorist threat/attack is quickly dealt with, as was the case during Adolf Hitler's Nazi regime. All threats against the Nazi Party (even from German citizens) were dealt with. People turned up missing and dead all the time. The growing threat of communism was one of the many propaganda speeches Hitler spewed to the public.
What many people seem to not understand is it really doesn't matter who is elected President in 2008, Democrat or Republican, especially in the event of another terrorist attack like the one that occurred on Sept. 11, 2001. In the wake of another terrorist attack, everything can and probably will drastically change in America. Martial law (for the 2nd time in this nation's history) CAN be declared if the President so chooses. Your civil liberties won't count during this time. Military troops (carrying M16s and driving tankers) will be dispersed upon the streets of America. They can stop you and search you (with or without consent). They can impose a national curfew for all citizens. You cannot be outside the curfew limitations, because you might get arrested.
I know you skeptics don't believe a word of this. However, it doesn't mean that it's not going to happen. It may not happen in your lifetime or mine, but one day it will.
PLEASE NOTE: I never said that Homeland Security would annihilate and/or torture millions of people like the Nazis did. I said Homeland Security in the event of another terrorist attack like 9/11 could declare martial, take away civil liberties, could impose a national curfew for citizens, military troops could be dispersed upon the streets of America, and people can be stopped and search (with or without cause). If there's another terrorist attack, a lot of things could change drastically in the Unites States, and your civil liberties won't count during that time. This is what I said! I hate when people put words in my mouth. I also said that people turned up missing and dead (even German citizens) all the time during the Nazi regime. Weren't civil liberties infringed upon in Nazi Germany? Was there not propaganda against Germany's enemies, against communism, against Jews, and against people who opposed the Nazi Party being spewed from Hitler's mouth? Propaganda was one reason how the Nazis rose to power in Germany. I also said Homeland Security is GOOD RIGHT NOW. However, Homeland Security can easily become like Nazi Germany. I was referring more to the Nazi Party's politics. I'm not saying Homeland Security is going to annihilate and/or torture millions of Americans.
