How would you feel if an airline banned you for how you looked? According to two young women, they’ve been banned for life from flying Southwest Airlines. Sarah and Nisreen made national news when they were escorted off a plane because they say the airline had a problem with them because they were “young and decent-looking” and their flight attendants were “middle-aged.” Southwest denies treating the women unfairly because of their appearance and says the women used vulgar language, obscene gestures and aggressive behavior. Joining the conversation is Kyla, who says she was told by Southwest that her outfit was too skimpy, and two other passengers who say the airline booted them because they were women. Then, McKay is a 15-year-old on a mission to end cussing. He founded a No Cussing Club at his high school and wants to inspire others to stop swearing and examine the power of words. McKay’s campaign has even motivated his mayor to pass a proclamation for a No Cussing Week in his hometown. Don’t miss reactions from the teen’s family and classmates! If it’s happening now, Dr. Phil is going to deal with it now! Join the discussion.

Where are the pretty girls?

Do these young women really think they were "harassed" because they are too pretty?  How narcissistic can one be?  My friend's boyfriend said "when are the pretty ones coming on?'  Where are you when we need you, Dr. Phil?  You totally missed it on this one!

Voice of Reason

I sat in frustration watching Dr. Phil's repeated attempts to strike a chord of logic somewhere...anywhere in the minds of the "Fly Girls."  Their immaturity and illogical arguments said more about their cause than Dr. Phil ever could.  Truly great examples of "It's All About Me!"

No cussing club

I’m 34 years old and I admire the courageous young man that started the “No Cussing” Club. What a mature and intelligent 15 year old!!

And to all of the people that say “You’re infringing on my right to free speech”;  Nobody’s trying to take your  rights away. The young man is simply asking you.

I curse too!! Too much if you ask me. I try not to when possible. I understand why people curse when they’re  pissed off.  But  cursing should be reserved for “special times” like that J.

Casual cursing sounds so unintelligent. Get someone to record you when you’re not expecting it. Then play it back and you’ll see what I mean. Very embarrassing and low class.

Most people don’t want to hear fowl language in public. Why is it so hard for us to be polite to eachother?

Everyone is so concerned with his or her right to everything! What ever happened to considering other people’s feelings?

I don’t know about you, but I want to live in a world where I’m treated with kindness and respect. And  in order to get that I have to treat others the same way.

No cussing

First off, I commend this young man for standing up for what he believes is right. On the other hand I do not believe there should be a "Cuss Free week." What if we did have this cuss free week? What would happen to people that would curse? Nothing? Would they be reprimanded in some way? I see the point of making it an awareness but I feel that it is a futile effort.

I myself curse like a sailor, I curse constantly and mostly not even knowing it. But to me when I curse to myself, the curse means nothing. Unless I am cursing at some particular individual, I do not feel people  have the right to impose not cursing on me. If these people that over hear cursing are offended maybe they should start by minding there own business. Why are these people offended by a coversation that is not even directed towards them?

I think the view that people who curse sound like "uneducated morons"  (like some people have already posted) I think that THEY themselves are uneducated. To sit there and say that is to contradict yourself. I bet on everything I own that even the pope has cursed in some way, shape, or fashion. So in saying that, you are basically calling yourselves uneducated morons. You curse just like everyone else has. And to say differently is a down right lie.

Even using these "transition words" as the boy said are basically used in the same context. So whether the word is F*&! or fudge it makes no difference. You are using them in the same context as you would a curse and there for these "transition words" should also be considered curses.

So since I curse I guess this whole post must sound like it is uneducated... HAHA don't make me laugh...If you don't want to  hear cursing just become a nun or a priest. Or better yet, move to a place where no one lives and just seclude yourself from people and the media, this way, you will not be offended by other peoples' language.

CRUDE..RUDE

The news media needs to take a long hard look at what they put on the air as news.  These three are so hung up on themselves and so self absorbed it's an absolute shock that Dr. Phil would waste air time on these bimbos.  Common descency and a modicum of manners would have avoided the situatin entirely.  Slap them around and send them home.....Thank you...

I CARE.......PEOPLE, QUIT CUSSING.  YOU ARE PULLING AMERICA DOWN INTO A COMMON, CRUDE NATION SHOWING LITTLE EDUCATION, POLITENESS AND GOOD MANNERS.  I AM SICK OF IT.
I'm sick of arrogant people who think they know the best and only way to live.  Not everyone sees life as you do, and that doesn't make them "common" or "crude" or uneducated. It makes them different than you.

Quote From: thindi

Amen! Way to go McKay. I am so tired of a society where such poverty of thought exists. I can't see anything rated R anymore because I do not want to be assaulted by foul language. I know that some of the younger folks don't even hear it anymore. They don't realize that even if they don't think it is okay to swear the more they hear it, the more likely they will swear.
Garbage in, garbage out!
Let's join the campaign.. no more foul language!!!!!

I admire McKay for standing up for his beliefs and right not to have to listen to this kind of language.

Bimbos All

Look at meeeeeeeeeeeee.  besides the Kayla with the cosmetic surgery, we have two "attitudes" who think they are the center of the universe. No class, vulgar language.  Their attitude even makes them "ugly"  Beauty is as beauty does. I remember the days when ladies acted like ladies or young girls and the world bowed to them. Now we just want them off the planet. Hooray for Southwest.

TRY FLYING AGAIN?

It's funny, but they have litterally clipped their own wings.  Just think about how happy another airline would be to see them show up?  GROUNDED FOR LIFE..........
