(Original Air Date: 04/09/08) “Fat slob!” “Lardo!” “Lazy butt!” Obese people are often the target of ridicule, but can you imagine hearing this type of verbal abuse from your own spouse? Dr. Phil takes on fat abusers, people who intentionally belittle their husband or wife simply for being overweight. Roger says he was very clear when he told his wife, Linda, before they were married that he couldn’t stand fat people. Now 20 years later, Roger says Linda has gained 40 pounds and is about to lose him. He says sex with her is like “rolling around in a bowl of Jell-O” and is considering divorce if she doesn’t shed the pounds. Should Linda take his behavior as a wake-up call and end the marriage? Then, Alisa and Leon have been married for 28 years, but now that he tips the scales at 305 pounds, she calls him “Fat Butt.” She filed for divorce because she says she can’t stand looking at his stinky, flabby body. Their daughter, Amy, also puts Leon down and says he's the reason that she’s full-figured. Don't miss Dr. Phil's surprise for Leon! And, viewers were left speechless by Rick, who called his wife, Karen, a fat whore, fat pig and even the C-word. Has he changed his abusive ways? Join the discussion.

Find out what happened on the show.

Julie, I knew you were Mom

Quote From: juliebgg

Moshe, good to see you back on here! Yes, I am a Mom of two, a boy and a girl.  A belated Happy Mothers' Day to you too! Mine was nice...flowers and a nice dinner out.

This board "Fat Abusers" is about people being rude to others because they are overweight.  The topic could be extended to include all sorts of rudeness.  I just responded to Yoshi's most recent post which came in after your last one did. Maybe there is a bit of that "get them before they get you" in Yoshi.  I have to say that the level of sarcasm and rudeness is way out of proportion to the circumstances. Exactly the kind of person I limit contact with in the non-cyber world. The rude ones of the world will have to deal with the fallout that they create for themselves by being rude....limited friendships, avoidance by other people, loneliness, etc.

Like you said, thee are much more important things going on in the world.  I,like you, am grateful for the good things in my life. (BTW, Moshe, I will include you as one of them...I enjoy chatting with you online!)

Have a great day!

Julie

Wow, first of all Julie, ditto right back atcha in respect to chatting w/you on these boards, I enjoy your comments and especially your intellect...I cannot tolerate nor do I have the patience for people like Yoshi, who come across or want to be seen as "highly intelligent", yet ignorance is more prevalent when they speak.  It's apparent.

Thanks for the back with the post, mine will follow in response to Yoshi's disgusting attitude. As I stated, it's a waste of my time and I will not lower myself to Yoshi's level by ever responding to him/her again, however I never said I wouldn't chat with you about it, did I?

I knew you had to be a Mom, it's so very obvious, judging by your kind attitude and your extremely intelligent insight especially concerning human nature and the human factor.  I have to tell you, I laughed my head off in respect to the art form of one being caustic and sardonic, love love love that....I wish I'd had the opportunity to run that by my psychology professor's mind, he would have thoroughly enjoyed debating that one and ripping it apart!

But what do I know, as I don't have a life according to Yoshi.

Gotta luv my sarcasm, I cannot help it I'm afraid, oh....just a moment yes I can.

Don't want to right now though. I'm sure you can fully fathom why Julie.

A Reminder...

Time to remind everyone that there is a person behind every screen name. Let's remember to address the topic without personally attacking another member because their views are different from yours. We all can learn a lot from everyone's viewpoint, let's try to keep this discussion progressing in the manner intended. Thanks.

Dear Julie,

I ended up writing to the show with a complaint in respect to 'none' of my posts being posted.  So, I truly don't know if this one will get to you, but I'm certainly hoping so.  Thank you kindly for the compliment, as I appreciate our conversations online about Dr. Phil's topics for the day also.  I've missed our communicating and certainly hope to hear from you, I am glad you had a good mother's day, as did I.

My daughter spoiled me.  Huge hugs to you, ciao for now, I'll write again moreso and topic wise, but first want to see if this gets posted, as I certainly don't understand or/see why it shouldn't.
