I am now retired. When I worked I made international reservations for a major airline. One day a woman called for a complicated reservation involving our airline connecting to several foreign airlines. There is a lot of information required, and given, for this type of reservation, including airline rules and luggage information for our airline and the connecting foreign airlines. In addition I am required to inform the passenger about document requirements for all countries. These reservations can sometimes take a great deal of time.
The passenger kept excusing herself every five mintues or so. I could hear her giving a psychic reading on a second phone. Her caller was on hold more than she was in conversation. Nothing the psychic was saying was specialized. She would ask a question and give a general answer.
How could the Psychic concentrate on her caller and be so involved with me at the same time --while making a complicated airline reservation for international travel? I had to wonder about the cost of the phone call for her caller, because she was placed on hold so much of the time. So when you are put on hold for the Psychic to reference her cards or charts, she could be making a complicated airline reservation.
If you feel you must call a phone psychic, use a timer and see how much of the time you are on hold.
I am not slamming psychics, because on occassion I see an adorable, elderly Mexican woman, who is a psychic in my town. I never give her any information and she seldom asks questions that are leading. One time she referenced my brother to say he has prostrate cancer. I told her I didn't have a brother and she said. "Brother-in-law." A few days earlier my sister had called to say her husband had prostrate cancer.
I went to her when my son was scheduled to go to Iraq. I was hoping he wouldn't go, because he had injured his leg during training in Germany. I simply asked her if my son would be going to Iraq.
She told me that something was wrong with his leg and the branch of service...she thought the Army, was trying to decide if he should go or not and she didn't think that they should send him--but they might.
I went back to see her again later after I learned he would be going to Iraq and asked if she could see any new information about him going to Iraq? She touched my knee and told me that they decided he would be going, but he would be safe and he would return with honors. She was right. One of his accomadations was from the Marines, for saving six of their soldiers. But I know my son and I expected him to return with honors. That is the kind of guy he is.
Before I found this woman, I once called a phone psychic because the first few minutes were free. The woman said that she saw me in Real Estate and had been in real estate since 1988. But after she kept putting me on hold. I ended the call $25.00 later. After I hung up, I looked to see when I bought my first rental and it was 1988. This was the only information she gave me. Not too interesting for the money.
I prefer to talk to one in person, they charge a flat fee and spend the entire hour with you.
But, I make a habit of going only about once a year, when I think of it, or someone is seriously ill, or like when my son was going to Iraq. She is a nice woman and I love to chat with her after the session, if she doesn't have a client right away. (Without revealing any personal information.? ) Before I retired, I thought it was interesting that she woud ask me if I had retired yet? Shouldn't she know that?
I wonder......Is she reading my mind and seeing my concerns and bouncing them back to me? However, two psychics have told me the same thing, this psychic and one reading cards at a Woman's Fair. .They told me that I am going to meet a man that wears a uniform and he lives near me or works near where I work. He still hasn't shown up. and it has been years. I am too old now. So if he shows up, I will send him away.
If you are curious, go once in a while-but look it as fun. In fact, if you listen to the phone when you call your phychic or read an ad about the phone psycic you are calling, there is always a disclaimer saying that their services are own meant to be a form of entertainment.
Living a life where someone else is telling you how to live, is like being a child, or living in a nursing home or prison. You aren't in charge of your life. Be an adult and make your own decisions.
Give it up and spend the money you save on trips or things that you and your son can enjoy together. I think you need to spend some time getting to know you son better instead of taking orders on how to live your life from a stranger who is only interested at keeping you on the phone.
