yanno... I keep saying there has to be an easier way... and as we all know... there isn't.  LOL... I am grateful to have others in this boat with me.... its a long ways to paddle, but... well worth it.

Life's awaiting and I want to get there 125 lbs less

Hi to all that have taken the 1st step of posting their message here. We are certainly not a minority so there is plenty of support for us thanks to Dr. Phil's message board and all the other ones available to us. I know I will be utilizing this board throughout my journey this time and hope that some of you will relate to my challenges and will send words of encouragement to me as I will try to do to others. I am 56 yrs old, 245 lbs, and, as you would guess, in bad health. Sometimes I feel it's too late to try to fix this but I know that feeling is because it's so overwhelming to think about losing 125 lbs. I plan on giving all that I have to give this time. I missed out last time and I don't want to watch a similar show 5 yrs from now when I'm over 60 and say the same thing. I hope to hear from someone out there with a similar challenge as I have to help cheer me on. I really believe having someone to relate to with the same goals is a key factor in accountability and accountability is a key factor in success. Good thoughts to all that read this. I can't say good luck as I don't think luck is a player in this. Bad luck didn't get us here, bad habits did.

I need help

I am 38 and need to lose more than 100lbs.  I have a child that depends on me solely and with her grandmother sick which is like her second parent I need to and owe it to her to be health and around for years to come.  With that being said I would welcome and  ideas and support from others going through this journey or have completed thiers.  I am very busy but have to find ways to excerise and eat better.  Food is my bordom and comfort zone.  Please help!!!!!

I'm so motived!!

I'm so glad that Dr. Phil is doing  a WLC. I loved looking forward to the shows and I lost 135 lbs with the two wlc shows.  After Staying Alive in 2005 , I had to deal with three deaths of people close to me.(my best girlfriend, my boss and my father-in-law) and many set backs on knees and feet and some other health issues. I thought I had overcome my emotional eating.  Not!!  I started putting others first again and not making myself # 1.  Here it is 3 1/2 years later and I've gained 80 % of it back!!  I can't believe that I allow this to happened. I've been gearing up to do this again and On Monday I started.  I weight  269. Huh!!!! Now is the time to put this behind me, for "This is the first day of a new beginning that will change my life."  I know the 7 keys work because I've done it.  Just want you to know that all you need is the book, and you can accomplish anything. I'm hoping to get some support from this site and I would love to email others  I figure I have 109lbs to lose and my goal is to be at 160 lbs.  You can email me pegmeg@sbceo.org. We can all do this and I look forward to reading all your posts.  I'm so sad as Dr. Phil Amazing Weigh Loss Race didn't come on.  They are behind one day because of Tennis!!!!!!  I will watch it tomorrow.

Someone Please Help

I'm new and it took me forever to find this page.  Hopefully I will find it more easily when I come back.  I'm ready to get started. I too, just started taking meds for diabetis, blood presure, and high colesterol. Most of this has been from my artritis getting so bad in my knees. Over the years I have had to limit how much walking I can do, hence, the gaining of more weight. I now weigh 248 amd want to get down to at least 150. Some one needs to help me learn how to use this program on-line to get started.  Is there someone out there who would like to join me in my goal and I will try to work with you too.

I have not lost

I have not lost 100 pounds or more.  I need to lose 100 pounds.  I can't do it without help.  I may be starting a new job soon.  Is it wise for me to be starting this at the same time?  I really need to work, and I really need to get healthy.  I wonder though, if I can handle it.........Sus

I get really excited for everyone who is chosen for the teams.  I want to support the teams, and in turn obtain helpful tips towards my own efforts from the message board participants.  My goal is to lose 85 lb.  I'm 62, 5" 2", and weigh 235 lb.  I wish everyone the best results possible.   GO TEAMS GO!!
