Hi guys!

Hi there!  Just got through watching Dr. Phil {THANK YOU DVR} finished crying and here I am NEVER doing anything like this before and putting myself out there like the rest of you.
My name is Kammy I am currently living in Texas {Job offer I  could NOT refuse} but from Massachusetts and Maine.  I have no family here at all and sometimes get really depressed.  I found out a couple of years ago that I am diabetic and taking meds for that along with Blood Pressure and Cholesterol.  My daughter, son-in-law and Grandchildren live in Maine. My son lives in California and is getting married to a beautiful woman in April 2009 {I don't want to be the "heffer mother of the groom!" AND the EX will be there and I heard he has lost a ton of weight!  I used to cook really well for him :-}  OK...  us AND my parents and most of the rest of the family also live outside of Boston. Oh by the way...  my ex is great and we really get along well so he would NOT say anything but good things. 2 years ago I lost 60 pounds {after the diabetes scare} and SWORE I would NEVER gain it back.  Then I went back to Boston for my parents 50th, busted my knee really bad.... came back to TX only to get laid off and gained 60 plus back again.  When I gained it back I had gone back to Boston for Christmas.  Do any of you have a mother that you didn't speak to for 7 months because "Oh my God I can't believe how fat you looked when you came home"  I still can't stand speaking to her and sooooooooo glad she lives 1K away from me {flight miles with gas!}
I am so glad to be here with all of you.  Anyway.....  I am here for any of you and if you want some tips I have learned and should STILL be using or you just want to talk.  my e-mail is kammyh001@yahoo.com
Take care, Be good and let's kick some ass!!!!!!!
HUGE HUGS

I'm looking for help too

I'm new and it took me forever to find this page.  Hopefully I will find it more easily when I come back.  I'm ready to get started. I too, just started taking meds for diabetis, blood presure, and high colesterol. Most of this has been from my artritis getting so bad in my knees. Over the years I have had to limit how much walking I can do, hence, the gaining of more weight. I now weigh 248 amd want to get down to at least 150. Some one needs to help me learn how to use this program on-line to get started.  Is there someone out there who would like to join me in my goal and I will try to work with you too.

I'm not new to these message boards but I am just getting ready to start the weight loss challenge. and it sounds like we are a match. lol I have Dr. Phil's books on this do you? That would probably be a good place to look. I have had them for a long time but I have never read them through. Always seems like there is something more important to do than to take care of me. I know that tomorrows show will reveal alot of pointers too so we can watch that and compare notes. My email is cvlrs@yahoo.com so if you want to email that would be good too. And if there are others that want to help and be helped I know I'm here for that too. Tonite I plan on eating less, cleaning out some of the food I know is not good to have around, getting out the books and putting them on the kitchen counter, and planning what I'm taking to work for lunch tomorrow. No more "fast food"...what are your plans ?

:)

I just wanted to let everyone know again that I'm here for support if anyone needs it. :) I've been checking back like every 30 minutes and reading new replies!

In my last post, I forgot to add that I have PCOS and diabetes, and have been dealing with it since I was 16. (Now 20) :) I think I would be happy to lose 113 lbs to be happy(that would leave me at 200 lbs)

Hi Everyone!

I am in the same boat as so many of you are.  I am 55, 5'2", and weigh a whopping 240 lbs.  I was recently diagnosed with Type ll Diabetes and High Blood Pressure.  I work in the medical field so I KNOW this means that I am a ticking bomb waiting to explode.

I am praying for all of us that this will work.

Good luck and GOD BLESS!

Hi,

I too work in the healthcare field, and need to lose 85 lb.  You would think with all that we see, we would run to the gym.  I am so afraid that I will develop a serious illness, or die prematurely.  It is a mystery to me, how I can set my mind to anything else I wish to attain, but fail miserably in the health department.  My weight and height is almost the same as yours, but I am 62 .  I'm about to retire and continue to work part-time.  I'm excited to have more time to myself.  I will watch the message board, and try to be helpful and supportive.  Here's to everyone's better health!!

Let's melt the pounds away!!

Hello everyone! My name is Crys and i am married with a six year old little man. I have always had weight issues, however since my mom passed away two years ago, I have gained over 60 more pounds. My mother was such a wonderful support system for me, and some times i feel alone. I am ready to change my life and i want to look and feel my best! I have a thyroid disease....and i think i use that as an excuse sometimes. If anyone has advise or ideas i would be so thankful....GOOD LUCK all....Crys

I am a bit confused

I am not sure what I am supposed to do.  Are we going to get specific instructions from someone on the show as to what to do and when?  Or are we supposed to wing it by the book?  I currently weigh 235 lbs and need to be at or around 150 lbs, I know that's less than 100lbs, but it's more than 50lbs, and I think closer to 100, so here I am.  Where do I go from here?

I need to loose 90 lbs

Hi am Jessica but I go as ReaAnne. I am a new mommy and thanks to having 3 beautiful children and already being a big girl before the first one, I am about 80 pounds over weight. I am 6'2 and am 300 lbs. I truely dont want to think of weight loss as "weight" but "pant size" I want to be in a size 16 not 26. So I am finally going to do this thing. I want my little girl to grow up with the right idea about her body and view of it. But first I have got to be there myself. And I AM NOT THERE!!
