I can understand the frustration you feel. As we get older it is harder to lose the weight. I too am better helping others but never myself. I need to lose 100 pounds too. I am in New Jersey and my email is wendyladycg@comcast.net. Let us all help one another! Carmela

I was so glad to hear from you.  I have been down the last four days, which I usually never get sick.  I  the only good thing was that I didn't eat for the first two days and yesterday and today, very little.  I hope to get on the treadmill today or tomorrow and really get into this weight loss.  I know together, we can accomplish our goals.  Let me know your method of exercising and your downfalls, when it comes to food.  I will encourage you all the way.  Grandma61

thats how i pretty much feel

Quote From: tda1971

I'm 37 years old.  I have 3 kiddos and an awesome husband.  I love my life, my work, my family, my friends...actually, I'm a pretty happy camper.  I hate my weight.  I hate that I cannot seem to get focused for any length fo time.  I hate that weight is the only issue I feel powerless over.  I have 100 pounds to lose too.  I'm looking for support and to give it.  I truly want to feel like I can do this, but, honestly, I'm not totally sure.  5 foot tall and 230 pounds?  Gimme a break!!  There, I told you.  That is part of the 7 keys, yes???  Be accountable and put it out there!
you do need to be held accountable and i know that i just don't live it yet!! I'm taking baby steps. instead of all 64 oz water i'm doint 32, instead of working out 6 days a week i'm doing 3. Sometimes i feel it should be all or nothing and that is my bad mind set. i know a little is better then saying "i cant do this" i can do one jug of water and 3 days at the gym. I have a tendency to eat and then think why did i do that, i don't think about it while i'm eating. Anyone have any suggesttions to make me THINK BEFORE I eat and not after? Hang in there!!!

Hi everyone :)

Hi everyone :)  My name is Laura.  I am 30 years old.  I started reading Dr. Phils weight solutions book in January.  I lost 40lbs. in about 4 months.  I slowly started going back to some bad habits.  I have regained about 10 lbs.  Right now I weigh 200 lbs.  My goal is to lose the rest of the 100lbs. I started on.  So, 70lbs. to go.  Dr. Phils book is amazing.  Losing the weight felf almost effortless with the support and information from his book.  I was blogging on my Myspace just to hold myself accoutable and that worked for a while.  I think if we all continue to visit the message board and talk to eachother it would be a big help.  I had a foot injury out an end to using the treadmill so I am looking for ideas on way to get aerobics at home without use of my foot.  Someone suggested a bike.  Any other ideas?  I am so excited right now.  I cannot wait to see what I look like at a normal weight.  I have been so overweight my whole life.

Preparation

Quote From: adamsmommy

I am 21 years old and my temporary goal is to lose 50 lbs. My ultimate goal is 100 lbs. I've been dieting for about a week. I'm not sure if i've lost any weight. But I feel better knowing i'm eating healthier, and not making excuses. I weight 250 lbs right now..anyone know of any good tips for a single mother of an eight month old, who works and goes to school 7 days a week?
Isn't it amazing how much better you feel when you eat healthy foods?!  I don't have any children yet but I'm pretty busy too.  What I usually do is make extra servings when I cook dinner and pack it for lunch or have it for dinner the following night too.  For me food preparation was the biggest challenge.  I buy everything needed for a salad and chop it all up at the beginning of the week and keep it in tupperware in the fridge.  This lasts for 5-7 servings for me.  When you go food shopping try to prepare/proprtion your foods before storing them in the fridge/cabinet.  This saves lots of time.  I find it is also much easier to grab for something healthy on the go when you don't have to prepare it.  Taking 15-30 minutes each night to prepare yourself for the following day makes all the difference in the world.  Once you get into a routine it's not as difficult. Good Luck!!

I was wondering if anyone would like to be my "buddy" even if we don't live anywhere near each other - kind of like someone to hold us accountable. Anyone interested?
I would love to be your buddy. my email is cgdowney2@hotmail.com

My name is Shelley and I am 37 years old.  I weigh 236 and I am ready to be done with the weight!  I would love to get to my goal of 135.  I know this is a big goal, but I know I can do it!  I am so tired of having to shop in the "Plus Size" aisle.  I don't want to have to get size 3X anymore.  I am so embarrassed by that size.  Also, it is very important to me to do this on my own.  No surgery!  I am Ready!
I am right there with you Shelley!!  I am soooo ready to be OUT of plus sizes...my 3X's have gotten too big, but, the 2X's still fit... I have already lost some, but, I started at the same weight and have the same weight goal!   I would love to e-mail with you and support eachother if you want!   sparow64@yahoo.com

Down 10 pounds & 100 + pounds to go.....

Quote From: adamsmommy

My name's michelle, and I'm just starting the challenge to lose 100 lbs! So if anyone can give me any tips, that would be great!! I'm 21 years old, and have an eight month old.. I weigh close to 250 lbs now. I'm more motivated than ever to lose weight. I want to be healthy for me and my son. I don't want him to grow up to b overweight as well. So wish me luck!!

My name is Laura, 43 yrs old with a 6 year old girl and a 7 and a half year old boy.  I was over 282 pounds and am at 270.8 lbs. I've started once again down this road, about a month ago, this time I'm changing my life not just starting a diet.  So, it won't matter if injuries or other complications come up....I'll just keep, keeping along. I'm very motivated this time, but I definitely need support, as much as possible. I want my daughter to know that you can be at a healthy weight through eating right & exercise. I need to be an example while my kids are still young and at a healthy size. I'm wishing everyone luck & praying for us all!

I have the same goal as you. I'm a little older (43) and weigh more (270), but I also have a goal of 135 pounds. Many moons ago I was smaller than that, but 135 would be amazing now!! I'm also really tired of the 2X's and 3X's, it varies. I have lost 12 pounds so I'm on my way! If you don't have too many weight loss buddies  already....LAFrasier@gmail.com
