want to join this club & lose 20 lbs. or so...

Hey, everyone.  In the first part of the weight loss show, Dr. Phil said something like wouldn't it be great if you lost the weight once and for all instead of yo-yo dieting.  I admit, I've lost weight in the past but always gain it back.  I don't set out to do this on purpose...it just seems to creep on.  Well, no more excuses...I am finally going to change my lifestyle for good and keep the weight off this time.  It's going to be tough because I'm not young and going through the change but I'm not going to use that as an excuse.  I will lose this weight by the end of the year...about 5 lbs. each month.  We will all reach our goal!

Introduction

Hello everyone. I am a part time working mother of three children. I need to lose about 30 pounds so I joined the 25 pound club. I have tried a few "diets" in the past and can commit to working out sometimes. But usually it lasts about two weeks and I don't feel more energy so I give up. I am ready to get serious about losing weight. I don't have a great support system around me so I am joining this grou in hopes of finding friends here who will share this journey with me. Can't wait to get to know you all.

Be my sponsors

Ok here is my truth- if Pepsi were Beer I would have been committed in a treatment facility a long time ago.  I too need to lose about 25-30 pounds and although my diet & excercise routine are fairly good my Pepsi habit has caught up with me at age 33.  After watching the show Wed. I haven't taken another sip & have replaced my internal thoughts from boy I'm craving pop to "I am no longer a soda drinker" and it seems to be working.  I'll be using you guys as my "sponsors" in my quest to stay Pepsi free!

30 pounds

This will be my second time with DR. Phil. The first time was two years ago.  I managed to lose 65 pounds then. But then I got off track and didn't do what I should of done when I started putting back on weight. It was in the book but I just ignored it. So I'm going to try and take off the 30 pounds that I put back on. I know I can do it. It's just a matter of getting myself motivated and doing what it takes to take the pounds off. I've learned one of the most important parts is support. So that's why I'm here looking for a weight loss buddy.

Here I go again....

Hi, I am Cathy from Elgin, IL, and I am once again trying to lose weight like everyone else.  After going through a long, drawn-out stressful divorce that created huge financial loss, I got rid of the husband but gained weight due to emotional eating.  I am a "drive-by" eater!  I have family dinners with my two boys on the run in the car.  I have the working out part taken care of, but I ruin it by driving through and getting fast food.  My portion control needs work, too.   Eating healthy is expensive and hard to do when money is tight. My other problem is I really don't like many vegetables.   But, I can't afford to buy new clothes either so I have to lose the added weight.  I am a reading specialist at an elementary school, and our staff just started "The Biggest Loser" challenge today, but at the same time the social committee purchased a huge sheet cake to celebrate  September birthdays.  My office is right by the teacher's lounge, and I have to walk by the food in the lounge several times a day - talk about temptation!  I look forward to the support on this message board, and am hoping to find some people in my area, too, who are taking the challenge of losing 25 to 30 pounds.

Need to lose 30 pounds

Hi everyone!  I lost 100 pounds 8 years ago and was able to keep it off for 5 years.  AFter dating a man who found fault with most things on my body, I gained 30 pounds....I am struggling to get it back off and am hoping that joining the message boards and having the accountability will help keep me on track.  I work out almost every day of the week - but I don't eat enough food to fuel my body.  I know, it's Crazy!!!  Most people eat too much, I eat too little and so what I eat my body is storing as fat.  Let's do this together everyone!!!  We are worth it!

Hello. I just quit smoking ,(7 weeks now). I have put on a little weight over the last 5 years, due to my job, I think. I work 12 hour shifts at night. I issue parts from a supply room.  It is so easy to just snack. I do not get "breaks" so eating "meals" is almost impossible. I need to lose around 25 lbs. acording to my Dr. My sugar is a bit high, and colesterol also. I will check this board every couple of days. Get going, and will wait to hear from you.
