What about the B-WORD, W-WORD, SL-WORD
Guess what? Not only most every man and woman of every race KNOW what the B-WORD, W-WORD, S-WORD are. Quite a few of us ladies know hurts every bit as much as the N-WORD. How hypocritical for anyone up in arms about the N-WORD to not be up in arms about the B-WORD, W-WORD, SL-WORD to insult women.
My mother made me walk home one day for saying the SH word and I deserved to. Yet, now... commonly uttered with no remorse or regrets and because a freedom of speech. When our freedoms begin to imprison us (one, some or many)... how free are we?
EVERY RACE AND BOTH GENDERS USE THE N-WORD... and often not just for race historically first used to insult. Now, too, as per Dr. Phil Transcript I read reads, as a form of "terms of endearment." Terms of Endearment!
I actually feel inhibited to say "Ho Ho Ho" at Christmas and I don't think I'm alone in feeling that word tarnished by rappers et al.
I'm a SURVIVOR of abuse by not just one man. Yet, now women have gutter mouths as well. Gutter meaning, and I have eye witness account, that you ONLY use to see in gutters on written on bathroom stalls. Where I skated there was a sign "No profanity allowed" that they stood by. Most of the 2nd class citizen discrimination I"ve heard persons of "minorities" relate I've received. Received not due to any pigment reason and due to economic disadvantage... Nobody wants to catch being poor.
ANSWER and SOLUTION: Parents cannot teach what they have not learned and so the cycles continue and like a cancer grow until you'd be hard pressed to see a "No Profanity" sign.
We need EMOTIONAL AND LIFE SKILL EDUCATION K-12 (daily classes). All those 4 year graduates in psychology and sociology et al just need a teaching certificate. Ideally classes run by a man and woman getting along with mutual respect. Age related topics from learning to say NO to stranger danger (that exists all our lives) to pushy car salesman that see their commission more than best interests of customer. Role playing and field trips to Rehabs. Day Care on sight to show how demanding as a mandatory class for both genders. Well, Clinton Administration thought this idea a good idea and sent me contact information of every State Department of Education etc. under U.S. Jurisdiction. I didn't have the wherewithal to begin yet Dr. Phil, Jay, Robin and their colleagues DO.
All three words in topic line were said to me as a teen before a rapist hit me in the face. Ted Bundy said pornographic magazines get men worked up and they do this because need a sexual outlet to essentially finish off fantasy from being teased by a magazine! So, essentially, many women are raped by proxy and catalyst for the rape are magazines. Just like much of the catalyst for the every declining English language lost in a maze of profanity thanks to hip hop, rap and Hollywood pushing the envelope. Why did President Carter back down with muzzle he had for entertainment industry? Because Playboy had his subscription to wag in front of him that he has since apologized for having. However, then that subscription muted a President so mum would be the word to not expose.
At five years old, a six year old pulled a hunting knife on me demanding I disrobe to see if I looked like his dad's centerfold or he'd kill my brother's hamster. Folks, there aren't just dirty old men and women there are young persons looking up for someone to be a Hero and set a shining example. So, excuse me, if I don't thank Playboy and Hustler for leading men and even young six year olds to see women as objects, such as myself. Excuse me if I think it is not freedom of speech to drudge gutter language up from the gutters in a pseudo freedom of speech that imprisons and hurts others whether the N-WORD, B-WORD, W-WORD, or SL-WORD...
It isn't innocent nor freedom of speech when infringes on the rights of others. It is good old fashioned gutter talk from a lack of self-control and no clear boundaries. I'm glad both my parents didn't look at gutter language as freedom of speech and as something to avoid by taking the higher ground. In John Steinbeck's "Grapes of Wrath" had poor persons cursing in a way to depict being uneducated and not learning better. Now, most know better, yet cheapen America and Americans talking gutter language trash and not just the N-WORD. That's just the tip of the iceberg. Women are still enslaved by the B-WORD, W-WORD, SL-WORD. And it's hard to believe in Santa anymore with "HO, HO, HO..." So my burning question to all those up in arms about the N-WORD is. Do they use the B-WORD, W-WORD, SL-WORD? Those words hurt too and I have the dental work to prove it.
