Something to contemplate. PBS aired a documentary a few days ago about the aftermath. I watched as much as I could tolerate. We are, it seems true, descended from the killer ape. I wish it were not so and that we could find a way to see fellows of a different tribe as our kin. Instead, we give others disparaging names so that we can justify dominating or killing them.
Well now, that was a depressing thought.
