I breast feed 2 out of three of my children.  Not often did I need to feed while I was in public, but the times that I did I used the nursing room at the mall.  Just so I was more comfortable chair wise!  You gotta do what you gotta do.  However I do believe you should be discreet about it, ie: use a blanket.  I am not the type to let eveyone see my body, I used a blanket at home as well.   

I was just waiting for my first coat of paint to dry so I thought I would post!   

Sounds like a wonderful province to live in (NB) Can you send me some pototoes?  Better yet, lobster!  I have only tried lobster once, and that was last summer I had a piece.  It was yummy!  One day I will have more!  LOL 

I was just wondering if anyone here has been contacted from a producer and then not chosen to be on the show?  

I wrote to the show asking for help and I wondering how the process works, if they should call me? Are you certain to be picked if your called or is it like a job interview and you have a 50/50 chance? 

I know I'm really early in getting hopeful but I want to know what to expect, if in the 1 in a million chance they would call me. 

If anyone has been contacted and chosen or not chosen could you tell me how it works?

I was sorta the same if I was at home alone I didn't care if I covered, but My oldest son was 10 so I covered up around him.  Yes it depended on who was around.   

I know what you mean about the loster to, kinda of a wierd thought!  LOL  I just try not to think of that!  I stopped off at a friends one day to pick up my son and they had the lobster crawling on the counter and the water boiling I just had to stay for a few minutes to watch and then they gave me a piece.  It was quite an experience.  To each thier own.   

I could not imagine living that close to a child molester.  I sure would have a close handle on my kids!  I don't think I would let them out of the back yard.  Right now, where we live it is a nice small cres. about 20houses.  All the kids play on the street.  (hockey, basketball and bikes) I love living here for that reason.  Everyone is so good about safe driving because they know the kids are on the road.  But if I had a child molester I sure wouldn't allow that!  Some laws need to be changed, mean while the victum is suffering for possible the rest of their lives and the person is roaming the  streets, it is just not fair! 

Where my brother lives in an area that most of the houses were recently built, the city built a prostitution house accross the street from the park.  This house is for teenage prositutes to go to for help.  Yeah but they are still using drugs and occassionally turning tricks and their Johns may even possible go their to find their girls.  I think that is sick that the city ok'd something like this right accross the street from a park. 

My son's behavior changes drastically when he eats artificial additives (colors, flavors or preservatives).  He is on the Feingold Program which eliminates all these things.  We have had great success as long as I have complete control.  When he goes to school, I won't and I don't want to home school.  I don't know what to do.  Most school lunch programs are loaded with junk and additives.  I guess I could start now and try to urge them to make changes.  It would benefit the behavior and learning of all children to take this stuff out of their diet, at least at school.  Many, Many studies show that these additives cause learning & behavior problems.  You would think schools would know this and do something about it.  Maybe I can make them change.  We'll see! 

I don't know how your public school's lunch program works but ours is not mandatory.  In other words, you pack the foods that you want your child to eat.  The school lunch here is semi healthy, they serve veggies and fruits, but I bet most kids don't eat them.  At least when I pack the lunch I know what she is eating.   

While the Feingold Program may work for your son, it made no difference with my daughter's ADD.  We limit "junk" food in our home anyway and it is considered a treat and not the norm.  My daughter's issue is focus and not behavior.  Don't know if the program has more effect on hyperactivity or not.  

It will an uphill battle trying to change the school district.  Most programs are budget driven and major changes can prove costly to the schools.  Best way to make any changes is with a group of like minded parents.  If one person complains, they are a pain in the neck, if a group complains, they are more likely to be listened to.  Good luck if you do try to change the schools and in the meantime I suggest a good lunchbox!!
