riding on the shirt tales of innocence!

I know what this mother is thinking. I have a simular situation where the mom kept the kid only to use him as a meal ticket. I am afraid that is what this mother is doing. If she has all these children she will never have to work and will get world wide attention. My son has custody of my 2 grand children. His "wife"  got pregnant with another man and when he was murdered she filed for the survivors benefits. My son found out she was still married to someone else and had an annulment. When it came to the kids she didnt want them and gave them to him. She kept the baby because of the huge check he was getting from social security. I am convinced this woman is playing the system the same way. More kids, more money coming in and at first it looks like a great way to get huge amounts of money coming in for not working. There is NO way she can care for these children in a responsible mannor. If someone had these many cats or doge they would step in and remove them from the home, let alone children! Any form of quality care for these children is not even in the picture. I fear for the little ones. They are so precious and innocent if i were close i would care for them myself! I love babies and they are to small now to know what is happening. Imagine their lives in a year or 2! I think she loves all this attention and will keep in the limelight as long as she is able.  I think this attention is her "currency" and it is paying off big time. I only have ONE question for her....WHAT WERE YOU THINKING???!!!  SHE  needs help bad and so do these kids.

02/19 Behind the Headlines: Octuplets Saga Continues

I am a married mother of 7 kids 4 boys and 3 girls.  My kids are 14,12,10,7,5,2,and 6 months.   I just can't imagine all of them at the same time at the same age.  I really would love to talk to her personally to find out what was she thinking, really thinking.  The comments she had when talking to Ann Curry was nice and everything was polite.  But i did not get  feeling she was being honest.  I don't think she has thought this all the way out.  She made a decision without worrying about the future.  I don't think any sane person without a job and already having 6 kids would say "I need another one."  There has got to be something wrong with her.  So before we send 6 more kids home with her she should have to go through some kind of therapy.  Because if she could make a careless decision like having another baby while she really couldn't afford the first 6, how can we trust her to make the best decision with now 14 kid to look out for.  I am not saying take her kids from her.  I do believe her kids will be better of with her than in foster care.  But lets send them home to a mentally healthy mom.  As for how she will take care of them i have no clue she could work 2 full time jobs and not make enough.  She will have to rely on a lot of charity and probably assistance from the government.  A lot of people will be mad at this but the children are here now and they have to eat and have clothes, shelter and medical care. And I do believe the mother made this decision under mental illness.  So let's worry about these kids our anger is not going to change anything.  Also God bless her mother.

She is a monster

Quote From: dannyperry

I really can't believe the show that I watched today.  Your a bunch of hate mongers, your making this woman out to be a monster, the only reason that this is in the news is because you people made it news.  My Grandmother had 21 kids and they all turned out fine.  I believe this woman has a support network and I have no doubt that she will do the very best that any parent would.

I really used to like the show but after what I seen today I can't imagine that I will watch again.

Have a terrific day.

Danny Perry
She has ruined the lives of not only her fourteen children, but tax payers childrens who will suffer because of her and other welfare queens like her.    She has ruined the lives of her parents.   She is stealing my tax dollars-I have had to cut way back on food expenses-no I'm not talking about resturants or eating out.  I am talking about having to have stopped buying things like bread, cereal, cheese, and only buying eggs, beans, and tofu for protein.    But I should just be nice to her and all the other monsters who are stealing my money and threatening my existence.  I don't think so.

If you can't support children, then you shouldn't have them

Dr. Phil,

You want to dance around the root of the problem.  Yes, we all know that there are now children to be taken care of, but if the root of the problem is not fixed, people will continue to have children that they cannot support and expect the taxpayer to support.  No wonder there are so many angry taxpayers!!!!

The root of the problem needs fixed.  The only solution is to take the children while still newborns and put them up for adoption to a good home where they can be taken care of properly.  There are many people out there that cannot have kids of there own and would love and care for these children.  If the people like Nadia were forced to give kids they cannot support up for adoption, then maybe they would think twice before reproducing.  This is an ongoing problem that will not be solved until laws are changed to keep this from happening over and over again, even when it is not 8 children at a time.  Also the DR that did this procedure should have his license revoked immediately.  I am and many others are tired of the Nadia type soaking the system dry while the working taxpayer foots all their bills.  This madness has to stop!!!

02/19 Behind the Headlines: Octuplets Saga Continues

I think people are angry because she wasn't in the position for any more kids. Everyone has a right to want children, but they also need to plan responsibly.

No it is not the childrens' faults, but it's upsetting that now the government and our tax money is going to pay for the mouths she can't feed. Why can't we all just have kids and no jobs and live off the government? What gives her and everyone else on assistance the right (please keep in mind I know some can't help needing assistance, I'm not talking about those people).

Let's just love one another. The world would be a happier place. I hope the best for her and her family.

Octuplets

I am outraged at the doctor that did this, I think his license needs to be taken away, and he needs to go to prision for what he did. The mother on the other hand needs a mental evaluation. She now has fourteen precious lives that depend on her. We the taxpayers are going to have to pay for stupid decision. I am sick and tired of foreigners coming to the United States and living off of the goverment.

My heart goes out to these precious lives, because they are so innoncent and have no idea what lies ahead of them growing up.

Were helping the irresponsible

Quote From: sharee84

Why does everyone have to be so negative???? Yes, we are in the midst of an economic crisis and whether or not this women decides to have 20 kids has nothing to do with that. It is true that taxpayers will be "paying" for her family, but that will be by paying tax money for SOCIAL programs, not just for her and her kids! We have a responsibility to take care of our fellow citizens and help those in need. So, why not have a show that allows people to offer support and encouragement. Why would we be mad a the mom? Of course it was a dumb decision to have more children while unemployed and living w/ your own mother, but newsflash...it happens everyday...not making it the best decision, but what's all this negativitiy going to do? SHe needs more support and motivation now than ever and this country is breaking her down, especially the media who feeds on the negativitiy. I thought the Dr. P show was to help make a change in the lives of people, I don't see how this show helped her at all. All these people are saying so many negative and degrading, disrespectful things that there's no way she could feel anything but shame and hurt, when as a new mom she shouldn't have to go through that. Dr. Phil, maybe you should work on using your "magic" to help her turn this "crisis" something that doesn't have to ruin her life. Because that's what all this unnecessary attention is doing to her and her children. If she was employed and in her own home, but had to get on welfare and receive more help, would this be such a big issue? If people don'thave anything positive, uplifting or encouraging to say or any ways to help, they should just keep their opnions to themselves!  It really doens' t look good for the citizens of our country to be so judgemental and condeming bc where does anyone have room to talk??
Not those in need.   We are helping loosers who bought homes they could not afford, CEOs who refuse to fly commercial, and welfare queens like Nadya.   Meanwhile responsible people like me who don't take government money are forced to cut down on food and other basic needs.

I didn't buy a home I could not afford- I rent.  Someone who has paid interest only on a home is basically paying rent to the bank.  So why is the government going to steal from me to give to a selfish person like them.  They have already got to live it up in a home they could not afford, I haven't.

If you want to help, help me get the government out of my life.    And if I am paying for you, no I will not keep my opinion to myself.

Amen

Quote From: brownd2

America cannot continue to pay for every illegitimate child that is born to an unwed mother.   We encourage unwed mothers to reproduce by rewarding them with monthly checks. I believe every person is allowed one mistake. After that, if parents can't afford their children, then the children should be put up for adoption. There are many people that would be willing to adopt all 8 of those octuplets, give them a good home and be able to afford them ,and the taxpayers would not be responsible. The mothers are not incovenienced in any way. I guaranteee that women would not be so fast to get pregnant if they thought their children were going to be taken away and adopted if they could not care for them instead of getting another monthly check.
And let me add let the corporate criminals fail, they deserve it and can we stop paying for irresponsible losers in their who drive around in gas guzzlers and buy homes they can't afford.

Maybe you should get your facts straight there buddy. Not every UNWED mother collects a check form the government!! In fact, alot of us work our arses off to provide for our children!!!! It takes TWO to create a baby or babies and when 'unwed' mothers are the only ones who are caring for these kids b/c the UNWED FATHERS wont pony up and be men, its hard and we do derserve support!!! This is a debate that is innappropriate for this topic! She went and had alot of babies implanted, and thats her choice. There is no dad in this case as it wasnt a sexual act that created these babies. Adopting these babies out would be a HUGE mistake! They deserve to be with their mother as well as their siblings!!! How can you tell you are a man!

I think that the doctor should foot the bill to raise these children.
I think this is one of the best suggestions I have seen for this topic!!
