Sleeping!!!!!! haha

I think I have pretty much given up trying to get the aussie's to talk.  I hardly ever check the aussie board because nobody is here :>(  I am not on the board as much as I used to be, because my aussie humour has got me in a bit of bother with people on the other subjects here.  Over mother-out-laws..ah well........I am sure they all miss my wonderful personality...hahaha  And I am just a permanent resident...I have American citizenship.  Husband says I am way to aussie now.  Even my family have a hard time understanding me...:>)  Talk to you again soon!!!

You can never take the Aussie out of you, can you? and nor should you I say!! Us Aussie's rule !!

Hope you haven't given up on the boards all together because I'd like to keep in touch if you'd like to that is.

I normally go to the board that says, "Is this normal social Dissucussion?" I have made some great friendships over on that board and I'm sure that you'd be more than welcome there. We just get on there and talk about anything and everything and whats more they love us Aussie girls.

So please come back on and enjoy. TAKE CARE. LOVE KELLY.

Do you think maybe we are the only two people in Australia? haha

Hi Kelly,

I will head over to that board and see how much trouble I can get into..!!  haha

Unfortunity at times my mouth...(or hands that is) take hold and I say what I am truely thinking.  But most people want you to say it's great they feel the way they do but I am always one to say "My advise or my opinion " is this or that.  Weather I agree or disagree.  I am rasing four step-kids for many years now so I am always looking for advise myself.  The kids have all gone through very horrific abuse by the bio-mum's so it's a challenge,  but one I took on, and we work through it day by day.  I have been to the sexual abuse board (son was sexually abused by bio-mum) and mother-out-law board.  (She likes to butt-in and makes sure I know her son is perfect) which is really funny..........But she is in Victoria and I'm in Queensland so it's no big deal anyway.  So I haven't been to the board you are on.  So I will go see what that one is about.  I used to come here everyday but maybe it's like once a fortnight now.  I am way to passionate about somethings and my strong opinions get me into a bit of bother.  Well I must get me finger out cause it's SHOPPING day today!!!!!!!!  Hope you have a super day!!!

Good to hear from you, yes maybe we are the only two Aussies!!LOL!!

Where in Queensland do you live? My parents and sister all live on the Gold Coast. Mum and Dad are at Nerang and my sister lives at Labrador.

Sounds like you are doing a great job there with those poor children. I honestly don't know how anyone especially a Mum can do these things to their children. She doesn't deserve to ever have those children back.

To me there is nothing wrong with saying things how you mean them. It's good that you are honest. Yes, sometimes being honest can get you in the sh*t with others but then there are times when people really respect honesty. I guess all you can do is to try and think first about what you're going say, before saying it if you can understand my meaning there.

Well it's nice to see another Aussie girl here, please TAKE CARE and hope to talk again soon. Till next time BYE-FOR-NOW. LOVE KELLY.

Hi Kelly :>)

I'm in Townsville.  Boring lil ole townsville.  My husband is army.  We were suppose to be posted to Canberra the end of the year but we have decided to stay another year.  The only reason we wanted to go was that the little ones mum although she wasn't allowed to see them and they certainly didn't want to talk to her, but she was still living here.  But we found out she has moved far away so now the kids all feel safe and so do we.  You can't get any better weather then here anyway.  I think it's great that during winter we have to wear t-shirts rather then singlets.  hahaha

Where are you?  My husband is going away on course to bandeana............or something like that next week for three weeks.  So his mum and dad will be able to visit with him on one or two of the weekends.  He doesn't go away very often at all and I feel very lucky about that.  He's in the band so they do bush stuff.  It's so funny because when I was in America and first heard some of the sayings over here I was horrified.  Because they don't mean the same thing in America at all.  So it's having two languages.  hahaha....and to think my grandparents were worried because they didn't know I could speak Australian............I couldn't stop laughing over that when they seriouly said that to me!  Well enough babbling for now.  I came here just to see if you had answered me.  And I reacon that if we keep messaging that maybe just maybe there might possible be more then just two Australians in this beautiful country!!!  I will keep me fingers crossed....

Love,  Lisa

Good to hear from you. Ah yes Townsville, we spent 4 years up there from 1995 to the end of 1998. Not sue if I had told you that my hubby Mark is in the Army as well.

We are living in Sydney at the moment, Mark is posted to 7 fld Regt at Pymbile. Yes it's a Reserve Unit but Mark is full time. He has been at that Unit since the start of last year.

We will be married 14 years in October and in that time we have moved about 5 times. 3.5 years in the Upper Hunter Valley NSW, 4 years in Townsville, 2 years in Brisbane, 3 years at Wattle Grove NSW and nearly 2 years here at Baulkham Hills NSW.

So where else have you been?

It's nice to have another Army family to talk to, atleast you understand the life.

We would rather not be in Sydney at all as we both hate Sydney, but atleast Baulkham Hills is a better part of Sydney than when we were living at Wattle Grove. We would very much like to go back up to Brisbane as we both liked it up there. When Mark does get out of the Army we plan to settle in Brisbane or the Gold Coast.

Anyway, I look forward to hearing from you again soon, till then please TAKE CARE, LOVE KELLY.

PS, Mark would like to know which band is your hubby in?

AUSTRALIA.

Rod's in 1 rar band.  He's a q e.  He has been in Townsville for 22 years now.  He was infintry until about 3 years ago then went into the band core.  He has always been in band though.  Well since he has been in townsville.  The kids were all born here.  Well youngest was born in Victoria when he was on holiday.  But there whole lives have been townsville.  Oldest will be 18 this month.  (girl) then 16 (girl) then 13 (boy) then 11 (girl)  I have only been here for about 6 years now.  Married for five of those six years.  So needless to say........I know townsville......only townsville....never have been anywhere else.  I was very much looking forward to moving but when we talked about it, we thought it best to let 16 yr old finish her last year of school here.  We will probably go to Canberra end of next year though.  Cause he doesn't have any reason for retention next year.  He has fought it for the past two years.  I think he is so secure here cause he has been here so long that he is a bit scared of going.  I can understand that.  But although the weather is great I want to see more.  He refuses to go to sydney.  And I refuse to go to Melbourne.  (all his family is there......and I have told him family is spelled.......DIVORCE!!!! ) He would dearly love to go to Darwin but that is reserves.  So we can't go there.  Do you remember before they got these new boards........I think her nic was mum-in-melborne???  I know at one point you responded to a question of hers......anyway....she is american and her hubby is aussie greek......they have a young son....Well we started emailing each other and have turned into really good friends.  She is back in America right now but I think she is coming back here.  She misses the place she didn't like very much.  Guess it's the old saying...you don't know what you will miss until you don't have it anymore.  I was just curious if you remembered her at all.  Maybe at some point we will be posted to the same area and will have the opportunity to meet for a cuppa.  :>)  Wow I am long-winded today.  I best get moving.  I hope you have a great day and I check back here again soon....Take care,,,,Love Lisa

Good to hear from you again, hope all is well with you and your family. We are doing well here.

Where in Townsville are you living? We lived out at Condon right near the high School. We lived in a High Set House. After we moved out DHA put the house up for sale as it was too old to be used anymore for Defence families. Just before we left Townsville, DHA were starting to build new homes. Most of them were at Kirwan.

Mark was once a "Bandie" many years ago. He started a Music Apprenticeship but his Father pulled him out as the Apprenticeship wasn't going to be any good to him out on civic street.

So, do you like Townsville as a place to live? We never really liked the place much, the only thing that made it alright was that we ended up with some great friends and neighbours. Also it was just so far away from our families. Mine on the Gold Coast and Mark's family are from Manilla near Tamworth, NSW.

Yes, it would be better to wait till your 16 year old has finished School, as you would very well know that each state has a different set up in the school system. I think I told you that Mark will get out of the Army one day, well he will be getting out before Stephanie starts High School.

Yes, I do remember "Mum-in-Melbourne," glad that you and her have been keeping in touch. Since coming here to the boards I have found some wonderful friendships and some of these friends have become some of my closest friends.

Yes, that would be nice if one day we do get to meet face to face, until then we will just have to keep in touch this way or by email. My email is on my profile if you would like to email me that is.

Well till next time please TAKE CARE, LOVE KELLY.
