Would there be this much emphasis on Natalie (In Aruba) if she were black or hispanic?  I tend to think not.  You guys make it seem like she is more important than other missing children.  I'm sure other families would like to tell there stories as well.  There she be equal/fair media attention to all missing children

I have to say that I believe that if there was a black or hispanic woman missing in aruba, they would get the same media attention as Natalie, it makes me sick that its not even about the missing person, its about what color they are. I hope that everyone can get passed this whole skin color issue because I am puerto rican and you don't see me saying, if she was black would she be getting all this attention? People in this country who are supposed to be grown sure do act like they are 5. Focus people its about Natalie not about what color she is or how much money her parents have. I think a lot of people need to wake up and smell the coffee

Sad but true.....

I am from Venezuela and live in the US.  I've been to Aruba several times and let me tell you all something,  the legal system does not work, neither in Venezuela nor in Aruba. In 3rd world countries rich people get away with things, money buys everything This Van  der Sloot guy will never be convicted, why? because his father is a judge in Aruba, a well known guy.

I've watched every night Nancy Grace, Greta Van Susteren and I've seen how upset they get (and we all do) because the case is going nowhere and frankly I don't think it will ever be solved I know how the justice works (or doesn't work) in Venezuela, and Aruba is the same thing.

What about the hand that washed out in Venezuela? The only way to find out DNA results is to go down there with money and pay to get results

Dear Beth, I'm so so sorry for what you  and your family is going through, I wish I could help you, I'm so angry at the system there, how they play around making time go by. I hope with Dr Phil's help something can be done but I doubt it, I know how it is,  those bastards with money buy anything

09/15 The Disappearance of Natalee

Excuse me? How can you say that you know she's not a virgin, and how can you even pass judgement on her? One of my best friends is a virgin, and we go to bars all the time, just because you go to a bar doesn't mean you want to have sex with the first man you see. I am very appaled at the fact that you are ignoring the fact that all this mother wants is to know where her daughter is. It doesn't even matter if she was a virgin or not. She was an innocent girl and she did not deserve what happened to her, ad you have no right to garnish her name.   SHAME ON YOU!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Because you were not a virgin at that age does not mean others can't be. Your judgements are harsh. Never forget, you could be in that mother's seat someday.

Well me being dutch, and having lived in the us for some years. I can say that i am greatly disappionted in the way the American citizens handle this situation. I see a lot of people here talking about a cover up. For all we know she ran away, so far no body is found on whole the island, not even in the sea, we know this because of the images taken by the f-16's the Dutch GOV. sent to Aruba. These f-16's were fitted with a very advanced camera so that it could see more from the air than people on the ground standing 1 meter above the so called target area. And then I have a problem with Holloway's mother. I am very sorry that you daughter is missing, the dutch gov. is trying the best they can to find out what happend to her, but dont call The Netherlands a country full of drugs and hookers, for all i know your country (the US that is) isnt that perfect either, for example, the deathpenalty, drugs, hookers, and the fact people are allowed with weapons in their pockets. Then theres the horrible thing that happend in New Orleans. Dont talk bad about the dutch Gov or people the dutch sent a boat with support to New Orleans, and guess where the boat came from, yes your correct it was stationed in Aruba. So before you talk things about other countries please take a look at your own country. So thats it for now, lets hope natalee will turn up just fine, and if she does please make an apology to the dutch goverment and citizens.
If there is no cover up then why wasn't Joran's home and property been searched?  Isn't there a well on the property?  Did the f-16's fly over their home??

Don't turn into another overzealous news person

Dr. Phil made a comment about the one suspect and his father running away and hiding in Holland after he was released. However, most of the media says that this young man has left with his dad to start college in Holland. I am by no means defending the accused, but is it not a little "over the edge" to refer to his going to college as "running away"? Makes me feel like I'm watching other news venues who distort things to make them more sensational. I expect more from Dr. Phil.

New option

In my opinion, the search in this case is at a dead end, but there is one option that may be used that may not be a likely choice. I have seen the TV program Psychic Detectives and have seen the help these hired professional have given in solving all kinds of missing person cases. They usually know right off the bat things that police have not told them and give them necessary clues.  One detective in particular that could be consulted by Natalees mom and family in particular would be Noreen Renier, who has solved countless cases. She would need to be contacted and hired by the family, and put in touch with the authorities conducting the search. They do this when all other options have been exhausted. I say, this is an option that should be explored now. To search for these detectives one merely needs to look up Psychic Detectives keyword to find her website. They do charge a fee for consultation, but it's relatively light compared to living in Aruba for months on end.

09/15 The Disappearance of Natalee

Quote From: no_lies

Very sad, this show. Sad that a girl is missing, but sad how everyone is jumping to conclusions. Sad that no one is looking for truth, but listening only to rumors and lies. This girl was stupid enough to get into a car with 3 local strangers. I hope she is not dead or raped, but how can you say these boys were the ones who did it when there is no proof. Are we puttling at least some of the blame on the teachers that went on this trip, and asking why they were allowed out until 1:30 without proper supervision? What about putting some of the responsibility on the mother and father? Did they never warn her of the dangers of getting into strangers' cars? Especially in a country that is not your own? It does not sound like she was kicking and screaming. Dr. Phil shows are always full of propoganda. This is just the same. I hope that Natalee shows up safe and sound, but if the police there have released the suspects, then perhaps they have shown to EXPERTS that they are not guilty. Perhaps they are professional liars. I also have a problem with people going on the show and revealing information that has never been heard by anyone before, when the first people to hear said information should have been the police and the officials, both in Aruba and in the US. Wake up, people. Pray for Natalee to come home safe, but don't buy into typical American propeganda.
These boys are being accused simply because they were the last ones to be seen with Natalee. I can't believe that you are dismmising them as suspects. maybe they have shown to EXPERTS that they are not guilty, but I think they are pathological liars, and you are believing all of them. They may be innocent but don't ignore the facts. They were the last to be seen with her, if they didn't do anything they know who did. they lieing to protect someone.

CRIME RATE

Netje2005 posted this comment early on:  "Last year in Aruba there were two murders - possibly just one, depending on which stat you believe. We'll go with two anyway. No tourists were killed. That's a murder rate on Aruba of a little over 2 per 100,000, but we’ll call it an even 2. Or look at it this way: The Aruba murder rate is .0002."

This has been one of my questions:  What is the crime rate in Aruba?  And according to this statement it is very, very low.

The guys have admitted to being with her and leaving her on the beach.  NOW just say this is true.  If Aruba was a dangerous place with a high crime rate, then it could be very possible another stranger or criminal could come along and commit another crime toward her.  BUT SINCE ARUBA HAS A LOW CRIME RATE, the only other possibility if the guys are telling the truth is that she was somehow  swallowed up by the ocean.   And because Aruba has such a low crime rate, the only obvious suspects are those guys.
