Sad story, but the lesson is...

I have followed the Holloway story from the beginning, and I feel for the Holloway and Twitty family. Whatever happened to Natalee shouldn't have. But when the acuteness of this unfortunate story settles--either by finding her alive, or in whatever state she may be--I can only hope that Beth and her family will begin a tour, speaking to young girls about why they should not get into cars with men/boys they don't know. The hard truth is...if Natalee had stayed with her group, her girlfriends, instead of going off with Juran and the others to neck, pet or have sex, she would still be here today. She had no business getting in that car with them. That is the unfortunate lesson; and after Beth and David achieve some healing, I hope they turn this tragic story into something that helps save other young girls with similar tendencies. Natalee may have been a "good girl," but in this, she exhibited terribly poor judgment, and it looks like it cost her her life. Sad.

Dutch

Quote From: preyhunter

In The Netherlands we have one of the lowest numbers of drugs habits in Europe . Why, because soft drugs is legal in The Netherlands. This gives the government control over the consumption. We will shell a max of five gram cannabis a day to one person. Off course there are some holes in the law, but it doesnt mean were a drug country. Infect the images witch the world has of the drugs use in The Netherlands is totally wrong! Its true that we have problems whit the drug mafia here in The Netherlands, even the government says that there is non problem. We are an export country for drug, totally true. The police is working on it, to gather with the USA police, to bring a stop to this. Yearly we catch tons of drugs! We disable tens of soft drugs factorys a year!

In case of the hookers. Well its a legal job now here. On this way we can control and arrange safety of the costumers! They are put on one steer because every jerk who needs one is on the same street and not all over the city!

I think the mother of Natalee Holloway forgets two important points, one not guilty until proven other wise and two if she is thrown is to the ocean it can take ages until she is found, maybe she will never be found Another fact is that she may not be killed an is just runaway ore something like that.

As a Dutch man I ask you all please dont blame The Netherlands! We dont have to do anything with it! Its just one person from The Netherlands who has maybe has made a terrible mistake for witch has to be judged! And it wasnt a country!

i think the Dutch govt. is covering up what really happened. Mrs. Twitty just WANTS her daughter, dead or alive. the Dutch and Arubans are playing mind games. and ya all know it. from the Prime Minister to the Police chief.....

To Beth

My heart goes out to you as I know from first hand what you are going through.  You see, 12 yrs. ago my 15 yr old daughter and her girlfriend were kidnapped, raped, murdered and dumped in a field where they were not found for 6 days.  Those 6 days were the worst I had ever gone through (or so I thought at that time), but after their bodies were discovered, it got worse.  Her killers were only captured 1 1/2 yrs ago, and as of yet have not gone to trial.  It is unlikely that they ever will for reasons only known to me and the police.

If you read this, please know that I know what you are going through and that no matter what, Natalee did not deserve to die and that I will continue to pray for you and your family.  If you think I can be of any help to you, please feel free to contact me.

09/15 The Disappearance of Natalee

Is every that naive to think that a young teenage girl would tell her mother everything about her? especially the fact that she wasnt a virgin anymore. dr phil shouldnt have dismissed the fact that she didnt lie to quickly. this girl was in a bar in the first place, drinking, but she reportedly didnt do these kind of things

Common sense

Quote From: mercedes99

If there is no cover up then why wasn't Joran's home and property been searched?  Isn't there a well on the property?  Did the f-16's fly over their home??
Just for starters, with FOX having been the leading broadcaster on this issue, chances are there has been a lot of information kept from the US populace. The F-16s searched the entire island, not just the coast. The Van der Sloot residence was searched, the Dutch Navy and Aruban police searched together with the FBI to find Natalee, and what they found was not a trace. Still, we see fingers pointing at Joran van der Sloot and the Kalpoe brothers. Fingers coming from a country where one should be presumed innocent until proven guilty, just the way the Dutch (and therefore the Aruban) judicial system works too. It seems that merely because it looks quite unlikely there will be a conviction in this case as long as no body is found, Americans are willing to see this as an insult at the address of Americans and therefore are willing to boycot Aruba. Please, do you really think the Aruban authorities would willingly put themselves in such a position? The last time I heard of the shooting of two Dutch tourists in Miami was pretty much news of the shooting itself. No arrests were made. Shouldn't the Dutch be extremely insulted by that? The reality is that not every case is solved. Not in the US, not in The Netherlands, not anywhere. Period. And even if Van der Sloot and the Kalpoe brothers would be taken to court... just what could they really be charged with? Murder? No body has been found. Rape? Same problem. Kidnapping? Witnesses saw Natalee get in a car with them, she wasn't forced. So, as long as the authorities can't be entirely sure a crime has been committed, they can't hold a person in custody for a very long time, just like in the US. If the authorities (which in this case include both the Aruban police and the FBI) don't manage to find any clue about Natalee's fate, this will turn into a cold case just as it would in the US. What exactly then makes Aruba and The Netherlands more insulting to Americans than the Americans' own nation? Like someone mentioned before me: the US aren't perfect either. Apparently just being the US makes up for that. Please, use your common sense in this matter and stop coming up with conspiracy theories because they are found more easily within your own country's borders.

This is for Beth Twitte

Hi Beth,

I hope that you read this message board.  I just wanted to tell you that my heart goes out to you and all of your family.  I have been watching the story on your daughter ever since this nightmare began. I watch Nancy Grace every night to keep updated on everything. I have also had the "fear of the unknown" rip my family's world apart.  I know how you feel.  I am offering you my time. I want to help you in anyway that I can.  I know that this might sound crazy coming from a complete stranger, but there are so many people here in the U.S. that support you and are willing to help you.  I have several ideas on how we could crack these boys and find out what really happened.  I am willing to travel and do whatever needs to be done.  Coming from one mother to another, I am here for you.  I want all of your questions answered.   Please e-mail me!

Thank you,

Amber H

Help for the Holloways

Quote From: llthur

 Dr. Phil,

I watched your show today on Natalee and if anyone can find the answer, you can. You have the help available that regular people can't get. Please help her Mom.

I was very happy to see that we Americans can make a difference by helping and supporting oneanother.  I have been so sad to see the frustration this poor mother has been enduring.. Keep your courage, Beth but please have someone watching your back all the time & know your limits for endurance, you do have the support of the USA.  You are a beautiful mother, and we want to send our love & prayers...I am interested in knowing the condition of Jose Mansuere, the Editor of the Arubian paper who was helping you... LOVE, LOVE & Prayers.  Patricia

My family is from the Netherlands, and I agree with the Dutch man, it is just one person not the whole country.  I also want to comment on the "typical American propaganda" I take exception to that statement, because whenever another country ask for our help we're there.  Otherwise we are no good.  I am really getting tire of it.

What are you Americans thinking?

Take look in the mirror and judge yourselfs first before you start talking crap about others. We in Holland know we aren't perfect, but wee work on it and we're happy with the general course of our nation. But you americans never look in the mirror, you think you can rule the world and it will cost you your leading position in the end. I don't know if you know, but you look like a third world country with the problems now in New Orleans . And still you come up with this crap about Aruba, and even about The Netherlands. We';ve send investigation teams, and they haven't found anything. I'm sure something real bad happend with Nathalie, and my condolences go to her family. But her mother made a real bad impression here in The Netherlands, she kept accusing those boys when there is no evidence found. It was wrong of them to give false stories about the evening, but the police was under a lot of pressure and therefore put a lot of presuure on the boys aswell. I hope the case will be solved, and don't worry, if it's Joran who did it he will be prosecuted and punsihed accordinly. Just try to look in the mirrow every once in a while, the crime rates in america are shoking.

Be Realistic

Chances are in all reality she's probably dead which is very sad.  so im not gonna speak ill of the dead but her mom is dillusional.  I was a teenager once and i made some dumb decisions and if i went missing at the same age she did.  i guarentee you my mother would've said the same thing.  "she's a virgin, she's a good girl" cause as far as she knew i was.    Her mom just thinks that, for all we know she was the easiest girl on the island.  Im not saying she was im not saying she wasn't. just playing the devils advocate.  Even if she was though she doesn't deserve to be dead.  So hopefully she's not dead but if she weren't where the hell is she?
