Natalie Holloway

Quote From: wilders

LaToyia Figueroa, a 24-year-old pregnant woman from South Philadelphia, has been missing since July. She is Black.

The murderer has been caught, Her mother has proof of a job well done by the police.

I support all mothers who have the guts to come forward and ask for help. regardless of colour.

MURDER IS NOT A COLOR THING.

I fully support Beth Holloways mission to force the Aruban officials to do the job that they were hired to do and punish these boys for the crimes that they have commited. She deserves knowledge AND vengeance for what happened to her daughter durring a time that should have been fun and memorable. How sad that we fellow Americans have to worry when taking a vacation that certain other countries in this world have so little respect and concern for what happens to us while we are there. And no, I will NOT be taking a vacation to Aruba. They have proven themselves to be more interested in helping their wealthy comrades out of a jam than in finding justice for a young girl who found herself at the will of 3 young men will no conscience.

HOPEFULLY THIS WILL SERVE AS AN EXAMPLE...

So many young Americans, get drunk every weekend and act irresponsibly. I am in now way implying that Natalle deserved to be killed. HOWEVER, leaving with 3 strangers in a foreign country was certainly the WRONG choice to make. Hopefully, some young women have smartened up realizing that you can't just do thing haplessly. And where were the so-called chaperones?? People can talk about the goverments response, all they want but there are many ways this tragedy could have been avoided.

ARUBA HAS LOST MY VOTE

Like all who have heard this heartbreaking story, I'm completely horrified at how this case has been handled.  My thoughts and prayers are with Natalee's family.  No matter what the outcome, I will NEVER go Aruba and I will be sure to advise all of our friends and family to do the same.  GOD BLESS YOU DR. PHIL for ALL the good work you do.

Beth's mission

Beth, my heart goes out to you.  I lost my daughter who reminds me so much of Natalie.   My daughter died of cancer and after 8 years it still hurts.  Your mission now is to go and preach to seniors from all over who are planning on visiting these islands for their senior trip.  You HAVE TO prepare them for what to expect and encourage them to stick together.  They are young and adventurous and think that nothing bad will ever happen to them.   But if they look after each other they can still have the fun they are looking for while staying safe.  The statistcs don't show Aruba as being dangerous and yet how many stories are out there that we just don't know about.  Drugs are more available and legal and needless to say the justice department is currupt.  Please go to these students and WARN THEM.  My prayers will be with you always.

Please stop and think before starting a wich hunt

If what Natalie's mother says is true, then shouldn't Joran be in jail still? He RAPED Natalie and has no problem admitting it in his statements! That alone should be a reason for him to be a suspect and in jail. ANd, he and his father have fled? That should also be a reason for him to be back in jail. He was told he could not leave Aruba or at least not go that far. And, the Kalpoe's mother? Cleary she screwed up and then tried to fix her mistake! She is surely covering for her kids!

Nancy

From what I've read from the show, natalee's mother sayd that Joran admitted he had sex with Natalee.
Having sex is not the same as rape. And it also not a crime.

About Joran having fled the country. Check your facts. He was not told not to leave Aruba.
He was told not to leave the Kingdom. Aruba is part ot the Kingdom of the Netherlands.
Joran was in his rights to go to the Netherlands. He did not flee the country.
He was released because there was no evidence to hold him and until such evidence is found
its innocent until proven guilty.

As for boycotting Aruba, that is just rediculous.
I'm sure Americans have gone missing in other countries.
Do you boycot them? No.
So why Aruba?

People from other countries have also gone missing in the United States,
but we don't boycot you for that,do we?

09/15 The Disappearance of Natalee

Quote From: jlw30115

Thank you Dr. Phil for having Beth on your show today.  I have followed this story from the beginning and my heart breaks for Beth and all the family but especially for Natalee.  I don't see how anyone could criticize Beth for demanding the truth about what happened to her daughter.  Obviously anyone that does either does not have children or does not have a heart.  I have a daughter that I love very much and would stop at nothing to find the answers if this happened to her.  I'm sure everyone that has followed Natalee's story knows that there were at least 4 people involved.  And I'm sure Joran's father was the ring leader in the disposal of her body.  Eventually all involved will be held accountable in some way or another.

Beth, keep up the good fight and don't let anyone stop you.  There are so many supporting you and praying daily that Natalee will be found and justice will be served.

My heart goes out to you---Janice (a mom in Georgia)

I have a daughter also and know I would be doing the same thing Beth is doing.  I appreciate the media keeping this in the news.  Since it has come out that Natalie was at Joran's house, it really points a finger at the father and a cover up.  (especially since no one was allowed to search their yard.  I really believe that is where her body is.)   Dr. Phil, please help solve this and put EVERYONE that hurt Natalie, behind bars.   Also, please keep us updated on your website and/or your show.  I too have followed this case from day 1, and am so frusrated to know a govt. can be so uncaring.  I have no desire to go to Aruba.  My daughter is getting married in the next few months, and although they talked about Aruba for a honeymoon, they have definitely decided to go somewhere else.

Organize a boycott

In the interview in the hotel lobby with Deepak, he said, "If I knew where the body was, I would have told them long ago," clearly demonstrating that he knew that she was indeed dead. Given just this little bit as well as the admissions that they all had intercourse with her as she slid in and out of consciousness; it is unbelievable that these young men could walk out of jail and in one case leave the country.

We can as a nation organize a boycott of Aruba. It certainly is not the only island in the area. Curacao is barely a few hundred miles away. If we all decide to inform travel agencies and tour companies that if they have tours to Aruba, we will take our vacation business elsewhere,  until the Aruban government and legal system make some real and clear effort to let justice be done. They don't have to find suspects, they had them in jail.

I can assure you that we will not even consider Aruba a destination until that is so.

YES YOU CAN

Quote From: brilanka

You can't keep your kids locked up.

The bottom line, a crime was committed and it's not Natalee's fault.  The thought of a date rape drug is very scary.  You can't defend yourself with that.

YOU CAN KEEP YOUR KIDS LOCKED UP SOME WHAT IF IT MEANS THEY ARE SAFE.I WOULD'NT HAVE LET MY DAUGHTER GO.THEIR IS'NT A PRAY.IF SHE HAD'NT GONE SHE WOULD HAVE STILL BEEN HERE.THE DATE RAPE DRUG IS OUT THERE BUT WHY WAS SHE DRINKING AWAY.AND WHY WAS SHE LET GO

Running Away?? and Virgin or No??

Quote From: philfangs

Dr. Phil made a comment about the one suspect and his father running away and hiding in Holland after he was released. However, most of the media says that this young man has left with his dad to start college in Holland. I am by no means defending the accused, but is it not a little "over the edge" to refer to his going to college as "running away"? Makes me feel like I'm watching other news venues who distort things to make them more sensational. I expect more from Dr. Phil.

I think people refer to Joran and his father as "running away"  because of the sudden change in his college plans.  Originally Joran was scheduled to go to a college in Florida, but now is in the Netherlands going to school.  'Course he's probably safer in Holland than Florida.  And don't forget - the father was also a suspect at one time.  (Did he pay the party boat captain to dump her at sea?)

Also, many people do not understand the culture in the South.  Many of the churches and schools have programs that encourage young people to sign pledges and contracts to remain virgins until marriage.    And this family is involved with their church.  It is amazing how many young people sign these pledges and stand by them.   The churches in the South also have considerably more active programs involving their young people than other areas do.  Please do not be so quick to judge Mrs. Twitty when she says her daughter was "a virgin."  She quite possibly was -- but that's neither here nor there.

She was still the victim of a horrendous crime and everyone knows the father helped the boys dispose of evidence.  We'd have to be REALLY STUPID to think otherwise.  But, he was in a position of authority and had money.......'nuff said.
