Topic : 05/30 Pretty/Ugly

When Debi came on the show today, I thought to myself, what an attractive young woman. By the end of the segment she completely changed my mind. How could a mother do that to a precious soul. That little girl is a gift from God, a being that should be cherished and loved. I really thought that she was a beautiful little girl. Kind eyes, beautiful face and she just looked like an angel. I worry for her and the other little girl. If Debi doesn't change her ways she will have two children with big problems. One that will never have the self esteem she deserves and another one just like Debi. How dare her take her hatred for her ex-husband out on that innocent little girl. I've watched the show for years and have never had a show unnerve and upset me the way this one segment did today. My wife and I don't have children and would do anything to have a child to love and cherish. Shame on you Debi, I hope you change your ways and begin to see the beauty in both of your children.

Debi: If you care so much about appearing perfect maybe you should take an English grammar class.  By the way,  there are plenty of families who would be happy to LOVE Victoria for who she is INSIDE. (and she is just as cute as your other one, too bad you are so ugly inside you can't see it)  Keep it up and maybe DCS will take her off of your hands.  

The second guest--I don't even remember your name--ARE YOU KIDDING ME? Judging people by their looks? Now, THAT is the pot calling the kettle black....!!!  When your kids are taught to only be friends with good looking people, are you ever going to see them again?  Will they talk to YOU? 

Oh, sorry, just judging you on your LOOKS, that's all...... 

      

       Never have I been so furious with a guest on Dr.Phil's show.....This so-called mother is right up 

  there with a child abuser in my opinion.  No child should ever be treated with such a lack of love or 

  care that her younger daughter must face from Mommy Dearest.  This superficial woman is low  

  class scum. 

  

I personally was disgusted by the actions of Debi toward her daughters. I myself have a disability, and it looked like she was mad because of the way her daughter looked. What a wonderful message to send to people who have disabilities! While it is not easy to grow up with a disability, people who are worth your time and don't judge you by your disability recognize the person you are, whether that be a talented writer, someone with a great sense of humor or an all around great person. People should not judge others by what they see on the outside, because some absolutely beautiful people have ugly hearts, and some people that are not considered beautiful have the most amazing personalities. Remeber: do not be deceived by appearances for beauty is found within. 

I was watching today's show and I almost felt like crying. The mother who treated her two daughters differently because one was "prettier" than the other one completely outraged me. I felt like yelling at the television screen. What kind of mother would do that? She expects a 7 year old that's treated like absolute crap by her own mother WHILE seeing the fact that her mother does have the capacity to love since she treats her sister like she's a queen, to act like a model citizen. She kept saying over and over that the reason her daughter is fat because she does it to herself. My goodness. SHE'S SEVEN YEARS OLD!!!    

  

I have a BEAUTIFUL 3 year old daughter. And she's beautiful because I say she is. She's my heart and soul and I tell her every single day how beautiful she is, how much I love her, AND that she should be nice to everyone no matter what. That mother needs some therapy and she needs it quick before she traumatizes these kids any further. I almost felt as though she had no remorse for the way she's acted. It doesn't even seem like she's going to change because she seemed so cold about the whole thing. I wished Dr. Phil would have told her to watch that tape piece like 20 times so maybe she could see how absolutely stupid and uneducated she sounded. God help her if her "pretty" daughter were to be in an accident that affected her looks dramatically. How would mommy treat her then?  

  

  

 Does anyone know if the show reports them to the state officials?? I would think that they have some responsibility to report. Anyone know? I am so sickened by this

I'm a resent college graduate. I have been triing to get a job in the medical field even though i have 15 + years expereince in this field. I'm still not having any luck. I'm not the perfect size 6 that most expect pretty people to be. I have been told I wasnt being hired because of my weight and how I dress. I havent had the means to buy the proper office wear that is needed to work in an office. I know how it feels to be looked down upon. It is very hurtful and just thinking about it hurts. I still dont have a job even though i have put in over 300 applications. It makes me very depressed. I hope that everyone in the future that reads any of the comments like this one can feel my pain and everyone elses that gets judged by how they look ,or speak ,or act, or what ever you are judging. I hope you can stand back, look at your self and see what others see about you. Keep your judgements to your self and start treating people how you would like to be treated  because what you see in others, others see you in the same light and could be thinking the same hurtful things about you, you are thinking about them.

I am appalled at the shallowness of this woman...Superficial is not a strong enough word to use to describe her...She is scarring Victoria and I truly don't think she "gets it" no matter what Dr.Phil says...She has her head so buried in her "pretty matters" attitude that she is destroying this poor little girl.  I have never heard such ignorance and I don't want these 2 innocent children to pay for a lifetime..WHERE is dad in all of this????  I tell you what, I understand why he divorced her...I guess being "pretty" couldn't save her marriage....so much wrong here; I am truly sad for this family....this is a show that I would like to see an "update" on...

  I hope they went back & told all these people what they were really doing.  So those people know how bad they acted & that they were going to be on national tv lookin' so bad!!

When the lady said that she would bring Robin down if they were in the park together, I thought it was funny actually.  I feel that way when I go to school functions.  The beautiful people seem to all be bubbly, well dressed, loud and in groups off to the side as if to protect themselves from the rest of us.  They don't look twice.  If I try to have a conversation with one of them, they have a quick answer and  find a reason to leave then head off to their friends and I hear laughing.  I'm not good enough for the beautiful people so I don't bother with them.  I find them to be usually shallow and materialistic. Sadly their kids are the same way.  What I lack in "beauty" I make up for in personality.  These people will never know that because I am cr@p on their shoes.
