1 more yellow ribbon

September 11th is a GOOD DAY to establish a message board to discuss ways we can SUPPORT OUR SONS AND DAUGHTERS in the military.

This forum is established for soldiers, their families other compassionate and concerned individuals for both mutual support and to talk about real things folks can do to help.

Will you please join us?

Most Americans agree to support OUR TROOPS. That’s wonderful. But what does hat mean? OUR TROOPS are individuals... every soldier is someone’s son or daughter. As we tie our yellow ribbons, let’s attach names to the sons and daughters collectively know as OUR TROOPS.

FAMILIES are also caught up in the war.

THIS WAR has hit our home. Our son Mike is in the desert. Until he returns safely the light on our patio shines day and night on a large AMERICAN FLAG tied with a YELLOW ribbon. We call it MIKE’S LIGHT. Please light a lamp in your window or keep a porch light on, fly the flag proudly, and tie a yellow ribbon for those in harms way. Post a picture of your tribute here.

What else can we do to support those who are sacrificing because of the war? Everyone can do SOMETHING.

Who do you know that is in-harms-way? Tell us about them. We can do more to support our loved ones. We can make our voice heard here and make their voices heard as well.

When I asked our son what I could do for him, he said, “You speak for me!” Mike said I should tell people that each man and woman in the military has a job to do. They need the support of the American people to get the job done and come home!

Mike’s Mom .

To all here,

Hello! It's so nice to find a board specifically designed to support our troops!  This Sunday there will be a demonstration in DC on the National mall near the air and space museum on 4ht street to show support for our troops. as you know cindy sheehan and her anti war anti US organizers will be there on saturday .. So Organizers have put together a demonstration on Sunday to counter her

and show the world that there is a large amount of people who support our troops and what they are risking their lives to accomplish.

from the organizers...

This rally is being held to honor military families, their loved ones serving in our armed forces and their mission fighting the war on terrorism in Iraq, Afghanistan and elsewhere around the world. Military family members and those who support them are encouraged to attend to show the nation and the world that they stand firm in their resolve to win the war on terrorism. Speakers will include Gold Star parents, family members of service men and women, veterans and Iraqi citizens. Current and former Members of Congress are being invited to speak. The program for the rally will be regularly updated.

Send Care PAckages to our troops!!

Hi, my name is Julie, I am an Air Force wife stationed in England.  I am just getting the word out about this awesome site that helps those troops serving in harms way.  It enables you to "adopt" a troop  (and his friends) of your choice and send letters and care packages to.  It is truly an amazing site and it gives you the chance to personaly send packages, so you know where your money is going because you are buying the stuff to send.  The website is www.anysoldier.com.  It is a website that I truly believe in.  Please visit this site , sending packages to these men and women is truly a rewarding experience for me!

Thank you for reading this,

Julie Lawrence
