Topic : 09/22 Are You a Racist?

I've had a full time job since I was 15. I've lived on my own since I was 16. I've always supported myself and a few others along the way. I applied for state assistance for medical for a short time to get back up cuz I got real sick. You know the letter I got back said I was refused. You can have state assitance if you've never worked, you're pregnant or have kids, over 65, or if you're an illegal alien trying to gain citizenship, or a minority.  In black and white. That's what I got. So keep working!!! The Millions on welfare depend on you! 

Anyway, I love what you put. I'm glad I'm not the only one to see things from that point of view. 

I get what you're saying, however, the point is this: 

Would they EVER be able to actually call it that , to ever have an actual station calling forward whites??  It's the principle of the thing. 

I am 54, white, and have tried all my life since I was a child, to promote evaluating people on their individual merits, not pre-judging and stereotyping them.  I lived 10 years in a very poor heavily gang controlled area north of Chicago.  I realize that the tribalism of the gang culture combined with heavy drug use made for danger there, but  I was never harmed, and except from having my radio ripped out of my truck once (not bad for 10 years), and a few broken windows, I suffered no losses, except from one of my own sons, who ran away, robbed me, and spent time in prison.  I worked a majority of black people all my life, and feel closer to their easy-going, down to earth, musical, and humorous culture than the white culture I have perceived to be more up-tight, narrow, and judgemental.  My father, and the father of my children were extremely racist, often expressing opinions like the man on your show today.  I raised my boys alone, and tried to instill at least some of my values in them, but today as adults, they remember only the gang hostility, which was mostly black against white racism,especially in high school, and racial tensions of a large metropolitan area.  They consider some  nice black kids in their childhood and some of my friends to be exceptions, and consider blacks more in light of the political stuff, reparations for slavery, etc., and have just about opposite racial values from me.  Sometimes I have to even end phone conversations with them, due to becoming upset with their views.  Is there any way anyone knows of to present this to adult children in hopes of helping them understand the goodness of diversity, or should I just leave it alone and talk about something else?

>>> Trying to contact "The Future Generations of The Guy Who Is Acting Too White" for JOBS.

I think the "Friend" of "The Guy Who is Acting Too White," is SCARED of black people, and "The Guy Who Was Acting Too White" was NOT scared of anyone! 

Hopefully "The Friend" of "The Guy Who is Acting Too White" will grow up and  become as mature and confident and thoughtful and courageous as "The Guy Who Is Acting Too White." 

White people tend to "Act White" and black people tend to "Act Black" and hopeful someday people will learn to STOP acting, and just be themselves.
