Topic : 05/31 Falsely Accused

Regardless if Terry made the rude comment or not, the truth is the truth.  If her ex-husband did get another woman pregnant and Terry shared the information, so be it.  I have to question the motive of the aunt who went  back to her niece and shared the information.  If that aunt REALLY cared about her niece why would she want to put a damper on the rehearsal by repeating the comments?  If gossips were being banned from the wedding, the aunt should have been told to leave, too.  After all, she was gossiping, too!   

It sounds like to me Steve and Theresa were looking for a reason to keep Terry away from the wedding.  I think Theresa's actions speak volumes about her character - she is not a person that can be trusted.  There will be many more episodes like the wedding day in this marriage and she will single out anyone who she feels is a threat to her.   Steve and Theresa didn't want his sister or his mother to share their big day with them and their reasons are lousy excuses.  Theresa and Steve's wedding day is a preview of what's to come in their marriage. 

Instead of having a wonderful day with wonderful memories, they chose to create memories that involved drama and the police.  They don't sound like a very mature couple to me. 

I don't know why Steve and Theresa did not want Terry at their wedding. I think that is the one time when everyone in your family (regardless if you like them or not) should be present, and see that you don't have to show them up, or be mean to them just because you may not want them around. You are goig to have to see these people anyway if they are family, no way around that! Plus I think that Steve and Theresa need to try to patch things up with his mother, and sister it's what is best for everyone. 

I would like to thank: 

1. this young man for his valuable morals & deep care for our children, having the wisdom to see into a child's soul & finding methods to bring out the best of a child.   

2. his lovely with for knowing her husband as a person with integrity. 

3. Dr. Phil for standing beside him with pride. 

This is a sad situation.  The new wife has not placed any blame on the aunt that carried the "gossip".  Was she at the wedding?  Talk about trouble maker....... 

If this son decides to carry on this negative relationship due to his wife's feelings toward his mother the wife will someday feel the repercussion of this hate.   

What goes around, comes around!!! 

Mend fences, start anew.  You can not forget but you can forgive, and that goes to all parties involved. 

Dr Phil is right, don't wait until someone dies to say I love you and yesterday is just that yesterday. 

Yesterday is gone, tomorrow is a mystery, today is the present.  Accept the gift of today, treasure the love we are blessed with.  Someday this young wife will learn that a mother (and or son) will not always like what each other does but they should always love the person, even if the do not like their actions. 

Theresa hopefully your future daughter and/or son-in laws will be more caring for you and forgiving than you are toward you husbands mother.  Watch out for that aunt that thought she was doing you a favor.
