Eighteen-year-old Natalee Holloway disappeared early last summer during a senior class trip to the island of Aruba. On a recent show, Dr. Phil joined the search for the missing teen and broke new ground in the case. He called for a boycott of Aruba and put his own investigators on the trail. Now, two months later, Natalee's mother feels there is a strong chance her daughter is still alive. Hear, for the first time ever, the evidence she reveals to Dr. Phil. Also, learn how effective the boycott is and why a pair of Dr. Phil's rescuers found themselves in need of a rescue.  Plus, Natalee's disappearance bears similarities to the case of another young woman who went missing in the same region. Meet the parents of Amy Bradley and see what strong evidence has them holding onto hope that their daughter is still alive.  Join the discussion.

Find out what happened on the show.

11/17 The Search for Natalee and Amy

Dr Phil,

I watched the show today and my heart goes out to both families. But it also scared me. I took my family on a 7 day cruise although we didn't go to Aruba We did go to cancun, my daughter was approached by several men that she described as creepy she was 15at the time and of course blonde and blue eyed. These approaches tookplace while we were on a guided tour of the Mayan ruins. These men wanted to show her something over beyond the tours route. Thank God she had the sense not to follow . It makes me wonder how close was I to losing my daughter? Hopefully it was just a fluck.  Dr Phil how about trying a psychic. Court tv and TLC all profile them on there programs. Maybe it would help maybe not couldn't hurt to try

My conclusion

I guess there is not much more to say after reading so many comments from so many people who get just one side of a story. Being an Aruban citizen I can say I have witnessed both sides of this story. I have also watched both shows that dr. Phil did on the dissapearance of Natalee. I agree this case is one case too many. And I really hope that Natalee will be found. But still I just wanted to clarify some information to all those people who posted comments while assuming things that are not correct.

1. Amy Bradley did not go missing in Aruba: If you need more information on this case please visit your FBI website (www.fbi.gov). You can confirm that Amy Bradley did leave Aruba, and was nearing Curacao when she went missing. If you have also seen the drPhil show, you could have seen that she has been spotted in Curacao by a man who claimed it was her. So before jumping to any conclusions just try to get all the information first. I pray that she will be found alive and that Natalee will be found too.

2. None of the clips shown on the drPhil show off these practices of sex-slaves, were taped in Aruba. If you watched the show carefully you would have seen that these clips were from Mexico, Venezuela and partially Curacao. So again just stating the facts. If there is or may have been any of these slave-practices in Aruba, I sure have never seen or heard anything like this and again I'm just just asking myself: Why was non of the footage shown today (taped with a hidden camera) coming from Aruba?

I am not judging anyone who posted their comments, everybody is entitled to their own opinion. But news as everyone knows, is sensation. The positive things that have and are still being done to solve this case are just not interesting enough to make the headlines. The things that are being stated by the Twitty/ Holloway family are quite different then the statements that these families made here on the island. I can surely understand a mother's pain in trying to bring back a missing child, but before judging any person, any country, anything that happened I just wish that people would try to get as much information as possible about this case and then form an opinion.

Last but not least, everyone who wishes not to step another foot on Aruba, are surely entitled to do that. Nevertheless Aruba is still one of the safest places on the earth, and trying it's best to keep it that way. Having lived in, and traveled to other countries myself, I know there is no better place... and I surely know that I am blessed to be living here...

SORRY FOR THEM

Quote From: hope1434

First my heart goes out to Natalee' s family.  I do hope she will be found.  But I do not  agree with boycott.  There are many people disappearing around the world.  But do people boycott no..
Aruba lives on tourist. so cutting that off means more violence.  I do not think everyone is bad in Aruba.but by boycotting it means the whole country is bad. Is that the message I am suppose to get? First of all  boycott is not going to help to find Natalee.  I do not believe who ever hurt Natalee took will return her instead will that not  increase the risk for her to be killed? if  of course if she is still alive.

i will pray for both families to find their daughters and I hope that someone in Aruba will help us to find them and return them safely.

LOOK WE CAN ALL APPRECIATE ARUBA'S SITUATION. SO MAYBE, JUST MAYBE THEY NEED TO COOPERATE MORE. YA THINK?!! THEY KNOW WHAT GOES ON JUST LIKE THIS COUNTRY KNOWS WHAT GOES ON. DOESN'T MAKE A DAMN BIT OF DIFFERENCE. WON'T BE TO MUCH LONGER AND THIS WILL BE A RESORT COUNTRY. ONLY THE RICH WILL BE ALLOWED TO PLAY. SUCKS TO BE THEM-GONNA SUCK TO BE US TOO.

DENIAL IS A RIVER IN EGYPT!!!!

Wake up from your slumber

Quote From: tuckersara

Worldwide america is looked to having loose values. THis would never happen in American and the citizens around do nothing about it. It seems as the citizens of these countries know what is happening and by their actions of doing nothing are supporting what is happening to these girls. It breaks my heart to know that anyone could experience that kind of pain. I pray and hope for the safe return of amy and natalie.  Why can the US goverment not go into these brothels were there are known Americans being held and break them out??
Uh...these things are happening in America.  And may I mention the number of girls who go missing, abducted into sex slavery right here in the United States, but because they're not white or rich the media takes no interest in highlighting their stories.  What's happened to all these girls...and boys...is terrible.  It happens because so many people are perverse.  Many of these brothels overseas are frequented by rich American tourists who go to these places to gratify their perversions.  The depravity of everyone involved is sickening, and we need to support the fight against human trafficking, child prostition and pornography, and all perversions everywhere.

Aruba Boycott

Although the situation with both Natalee and Amy is tragic I don't understand the reason for boycotting Aruba. If indeed these cases have anything to do with the sex slave industry, this kind of thing happens all over the world, including right here in America. Does that mean we should boycott our own city, state or country? How many of the missing children in this country may have suffered the same fate as those girls in Aruba and never even got so much as a mention of their disappearance. I even remember news reports of people visiting America from other countries being victims of crime, some including their deaths. I don't remember hearing anything about America being boycotted.

I truly believe in my heart these girls are alive and under the control of evil people. My heart, thoughts and prayers go out to the parents of these girls. They just have to maintain their faith that all will end well and all prayers will soon be answered.

Responsibility

I am terribly sorry about Natalie and all other missing children.....but  no one has ever addressed responsibility.   Why do parents feel that their children have to go to foreign countries?  Why can't they go to a resort in the USA ( its dangerous enough, but at least you are not dealing with a foreign government)?  Also no one has ever addressed the responsibility of the chaperone's, WHERE WERE THEY?  Why were the children out drinking, etc. with no  supervision?  What were the adults  there for?  No bed checks?   Ah...maybe that is why the kids want to go to foreign countries so that they can drink, etc.  Well we as parents should say no NO NO!!!!!     As far as boycotting Aruba YES YES YES!!!

Also does no one but me see the young man with the boat that was questioned as a big clue to taking her off of the island?   They had ten days to hide her or take her to Venezuela....

We live in a horrible world where alot of people think they have the right to please themselves in lots of sick ways and as a nation (world) we should come together and do all we can to stop it.

I hope Natalie is found.  And I hope all parents think long and hard when making decisions about their children and letting them do things just because everyone else is, because sometimes awful things happen to good kids.

Great idea but...

Quote From: hitechgirl

Dr. Phil,

How in the heck do we justify our war in Iraq when it is known that MILLIONS of people have been taken against their will to live a life of prostitution?  Why can't American Soldiers bust into these heavily guarded "Brothels" and free these women who are being used as sex slaves?  We are losing more and more soldiers everyday in Iraq for a war that should be over.  What is wrong with our government and governments around the world when this is a "known" problem, yet you have to send in a small handful of people to stake out these whore houses?  Where is our military and why aren't we fighting for people who really are living in complete terror???

Can;t you get George Bush in on this???

Great idea, but there's no oil in those brothels.

and there are many other rational Americans and definitely citizens of others countries that will be visiting your beautiful country and continue to visit it. The world is not made of American tourists alone despite what some Americans may believe. Arubans are lovely warm people, this is an isolated case that has been blown way out of proportion. People go missing here in the USA EVERYDAY, and they receive very  little attention, they are just not necessarily white, blonde, or rich. I am very sure that if a black Aruban teenager went missing in the middle of NY, nobody would bat an eyelid, not even the media or Dr. Phil for that matter! Plain honest truth!

We are doing something

Quote From: kairshea

I wish Dr Phil had done/or will do an accurate show on the sex trade industry.

The Natalee story immobolizes people because of it's emotional impact, but Americans need the true facts about the sex trade industry and how it exists in their own country, and how it is supported in other countries by their own countrymen.

How many of these Dr Phil viewers would merely turn a blind eye on this problem if it didn't involve an American child.  How many are willing to stand up and stop the same behaviour that is happening in their own country.  Don't turn a blind eye on your own inability to stop this behaviour from happening on US soil.

I know for a fact there was a large bust in Denver recently. Massage palours were prostituting young asian girls that were brought here from other countries. Those girls are in foster until they can be returned to their own families (some of whom were the people that sold them off in the first place!)

Nightline ran a piece a few months back where a US citizen (doctor I believe) was going overseas to have sex with underage girls, he in fact was charged under US law for his activity (US law will prosecute our own citizens when they indulge in this behavior regardless of where they are in the world)
