Eighteen-year-old Natalee Holloway disappeared early last summer during a senior class trip to the island of Aruba. On a recent show, Dr. Phil joined the search for the missing teen and broke new ground in the case. He called for a boycott of Aruba and put his own investigators on the trail. Now, two months later, Natalee's mother feels there is a strong chance her daughter is still alive. Hear, for the first time ever, the evidence she reveals to Dr. Phil. Also, learn how effective the boycott is and why a pair of Dr. Phil's rescuers found themselves in need of a rescue.  Plus, Natalee's disappearance bears similarities to the case of another young woman who went missing in the same region. Meet the parents of Amy Bradley and see what strong evidence has them holding onto hope that their daughter is still alive.  Join the discussion.

Find out what happened on the show.

Nail her brain.

Dr. Phil's show this afternoon with guest Ty Ritter who rescues children who have been sold into the sex slave trade.

Dr. Phil's show had a voice over by Ty Ritter where he described a murder.  Paraphrased, "they drove a pin through her head to cause her to go into convulsions prior to dying.  During this time the woman is raped and video taped".

Did I hear the voice over correctly?

Yes, that's what he said. They drove a nail in her head and raped her while she convulsed and died

DOESN'T ANYONE ELSE WONDER WHY???

DOESN'T ANYONE ELSE WONDER WHY THE MILITARY, FBI, OR SOME OTHER POWERFUL UNIT GO IN TO INVADE THAT COMPLEX WITH THE 20 FT WALL ETC., TO RESCUE THOSE GIRLS IN THERE???

IF THAT TY GUY CAN ACCOMPLISH ALL OF WHAT HE'S ACCOMPLISHED, THEN WHAT IN THE HALO IS GOING ON WITH THE AUTHORITIES???

IF IT WERE ALL MEN HELD PRISONERS IN THERE, DO YOU THINK IT WOULD TAKE LONG TO DO SOMETHING ABOUT IT???

Sex slave trafficking

tHE FIRST thing I said when the girl was reported missing was that she has been sold into sex slavery.

It is far more common then the average person knows. It is the third biggest business in the world after drugs and guns.  Usually it is poor eastern european girls who are being tricked into sex slavery. They are promised work somewhere else and they believe it.

I hope it is not the case with Natalee.

Yesterday when I wathced the show I started crying, it is so horrific that these things happens all over the world. We have trafficked woman all over the states, american girls are being trafficked all over the world. When are we as a society going to wake up and do something about this???

This is a huge problem everywhere.

Thank you DrPhil for letting people know about this and I truly hope you will find the girl.

I ahve heard about this years ago, but then it was young girls in Thailand  they did it too. Why doesnt the media report things like this, because it doesnt seem to me that the public knows about these things. It is happening all the time, everywhere.

Keep your children home!!

Folks-----------------------

I, like everyone, hopes that these girls and all of the kids who have been taken and forced into slavery for any reason, sexual or servatude, etc. come home soon. Worse for wear, surely, but alive and home.

When we first heard about Natalee I said to my huband that, since nothing of her had been found,

she could have been kidnapped and held against her will, maybe even in Venzuela.

But we also wondered WHY, WHY, WHY are parents of kids, under 21, who are mainly 17/18 yrs. old because they have just graduated from HIGH SCHOOL letting them go off to a foreign country where they are allowed to DRINK ALL OF THE ALCOHOL THEY WANT and gamble all they want and do anything else that they want to do??? ? Even most kids in college are NOT old enough to drink in this country and none are allowed to legally gamble. So why are we sending our kids to countries that let them do all of these things. Why are we sending them to do things that they can't legally do here for another 3/4 years???? Adult things!! Why are we rushing them???? Can't ANY PARENTS have the GUTS to say NOWAY to their kids who want to go on these trips???? If the kids want to go to the beach and have that kind of atmosphere, GOOD GREIF there are thousands of shoreline here at home. Yes, things can happen here like anywhere else but to sent them to places where the main event is PARTY---PARTY---PARTY and then you let them drink alcohol is BEGGING for trouble. At least our laws are directed at protecting kids from themselves.

Why are we doing this?????????????? It needs to stop and if boycotting Aruba will help stop it so

be it. You know if they were concerned about underage drinking they could raise the legal age for alcohol. But that would hit them in the pocketbook so naturally they won't do that. It's up to PARENTS to say NO to their kids for a change. The legal age there for alcohol is 18. So how are the kids drinking in the clubs who are only 17???? Think they CARE?? Apparently not.

If everyone would NOT let their kids go to Aruba until they were 21 then Aruba would get the message.

I, also, am wondering if Natalee's family has thought about bring in a phychic. Some of them do amazing work. I hope they give this some serious thought.

And lets all discourage anyone from making it too easy to take our kids.

11/17 The Search for Natalee and Amy

Quote From: rose1449

I feel sorry for Natalle's Mom and family but I also feel sorry for the thousands of Moms and families that never make the news.  We have hundreds of children that go missing every day and no one is searching for them.  I always wonder why one child is more special than another every time I hear one of these shows.  I do hope Natalle is found but I hope every person listening to the show realizes she is not the only child missing.
i totally agree with you.  i mean of course i want natalie and amy to be found, but there are so many other people missing in our country and other countries that don't make the news.  i know it's impossible to have shows on every child or missing person, but at least make it a bit more equal.

Ty Ritter re: child sex slave

Quote From: numummy

I couldn't agree more.  As much as I realize that these sort of atrocities do happen I don't think it was appropriate for a day time television show to describe such a graphic image.  It has been haunting me since I heard it and I don't think I will ever be able to forget such an awful thing.  I do however think it is important that this issue be in the media as our governments (I live in Canada) need to do something about it and the best way to move the government to action is to move the people.  But I think we can address the issue and talk about it without being so graphic.

BTW this is my first time posting on a message board, I'm a big fan of the show and watch every day.  I think Dr. Phil is doing a great job and is helping many people.

Oh my God , me too, I can not stop thinking about some of the things Ty reported. I feel helpless in this situation and believe this is just the tip of the iceberg.  I also feel it ( the "nail in the head") was the most horrifying thing ive ever heard and was very detailed for TV but most people including myself are in the dark when it comes to the lenghts people go to make money and satisfy their  sick drives What can we do!

11/17 The Search for Natalee and Amy

Quote From: chimcham

Never again should this ever happen to North American young girls. BOYCOTTING this country is a great way to start. I will NEVER set foot in Aruba! What is wrong with their justice system...there have been so many people arrested and rearrrested and changing their stories, it is bizarre. Praying for the safe return of Natalee and Amy**
i don't know why you say never again should it happen to north american young girls...because never again should it happen to any human being, north american or not, on this planet.  there are young boys that have also been kidnapped and sold into human sex trafficking, not just young girls, and not just north americans.

I agree with the above, except for one thing.

As a father of an almost 18 year old, my wife continue to remind me that I can't control her life forever. I love Heather with all my heart and soul, and yes I am overprotective. However, Heather and I have an open communication, that if given the opportunity to go on a trip such as Natalie went on, she would be asking me to go with her, first and foremost.

Some 18 year olds, would see it as their first sense of freedom. And in many state at 18, parents already have no legal right to tell them what to do, or not to do.  However, it is up to parents to build that type of open relationship with their children so that you can guide their every way, and even choose to accompany them with very little objection from their part.  I am not even clear what the legal age is here in IL, when a kid could do whatever without a parent's consent, but see that is not important to us, as the relationship we have is stronger than any law.

This relationship building should start when they first go to school. I personally know all her friends, have gone on almost every single field trip, and I am also a member of the Citizen's Advisory Council in her school district, as well as a member on her school improvement team. This gives me an opportunity to keep on top of her education as well as her social life.

The boycott on Aruba needs to be extended fast, and not just for kids, cancel all vacations whether it is an anniversary trip with your spouse without kids, or a family vacation. Have to hit Aruba and all the island's their government controls where it hurts.  In the pocketbook!
